  1. NFL rules state that you're not allowed to be "a idiot" or "an moron" that covers the NFL if you also happen to cover another professional sport in a different city... HOWEVER, you CAN be "a idiot" or "an moron" and cover the NFL alone, or the NFL plus another professional sport in the same city... OR you can be "an idiot" or "a moron" and cover whatever sport in whichever city you like and it's totally cool by the NFL.
  2. I actually believe the cracks in the foundation were there before the band aid QBs were ever applied, at the end of the SB run when Kelly's career was winding down. Ever since free agency became a reality no Bills FO has figured out how to build the core of a team through the draft, retain them, and add missing pieces through FA in a way that worked within the confines of the salary cap. It may be heresy to say, but since Butler spent the team into cap hell trying to get back to the SB and then jumped ship to San Diego it has been all downhill due to half measures taken to clean up the mess. I thought we were starting to see progress with Whaley and Marrone, but Wrex took a big steaming ? on that. I was always impressed at how teams like Pittsburgh had a plan that allowed them to target positions in the draft and develop them on a rookie contract in a way that would allow them to fill the void of an aging player, or one they couldn't afford to retain, who would be gone in 2 years. I was hoping Whaley would bring that with him...
  3. I think a young QB can be “ruined,” but I don’t think it’s from bad play or a lack of supporting talent on the field, I think it’s due to poor coaching off the field and lack of support through the growing pains. Case use in point, I don’t think EJ would have succeeded long term, but starting him in his rookie season when his QB coach also happened to be an OC who was in his first year in the NFL under a surly head coach who didn’t want to develop a rookie QB seemed like doubling down on his failure to me. I don’t know if this is the right staff to develop Allen, but unless we’re going to have him ride the pine until the next regime change it’s the lot he was, and we as fans were, dealt. Let’s hope they can set the right expectations and guide him through the bumps.
  4. He also had Ted Marchibroda as his OC to maximize the offensive talent, and Walt Corey as his DC to underutilize the wealth of defensive talent... shove that effin “read and react” BS right back where it came from, Walt.
  5. Where. The. Hell. did you get pictures of my junk?!?! Wait... motherf... YOU’RE the peeping teef!!!
  6. Didn’t read through the whole thread, but if they’re going with Allen, trading the player who might be able to help take some of the pressure off of him would be a mistake IMO.
  7. I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess Sullivan must have deemed “romanticizing” to be his word of the day and dared his reader to use it in a sentence.
  8. You may want to check the score of that Cleveland game, there, Headknocker...
  9. I spoke to a man named Bill who was wearing a sports coat from the JC Penny executive collection and he is not amused with how out context his conversation is being taken.
  10. I think he meant Petereunuch.
  11. I would trade our next 2 firsts to OakVegas for Chucky and pay him TWO HUNDRED million. Things wouldn’t be any better, but at least we’d have a name brand turd.
  12. Pride... in the immortal words of Marcellus Wallace f&$% pride.
  13. I say “You do realize I’m not “faith based,” right?”
  14. What about those who think Nate’s terrible, but also... uhh... have an... err... let’s call it an active appreciation... for the enduring memory of Brittany in a schoolgirl outfit? How is ruining this memory doing THEM a favor?!?! Asking for a friend.
  15. To Whaley to find out how to become less privy.
  16. Actually, the unemployment office assured me they have enough turnstiles already, but if he’s still interested in keeping with a “line” position, after reviewing his body of work, they suggested maybe he consider a career as a dotted line, invisible line, or imaginary line... all technically lines but with the same ease of penetrability that Vlad possesses in spades.
  17. I was actually wrong, so I deleted the post. I forgot he went 5th. I was thinking we could have had him at 9 without trading up.
  18. Wasn’t Tuel a Bryce somethin’ or other fumble through the end zone for a touchback away from winning against KC? I’d’ve taken that today in hindsight.
  19. Good thing Philadelphia didn’t throw a raw prospect who didn’t go to a major program to the wolves. One could only imagine how badly that could have turned out.
  20. No argument from me. I thought, based on the previous posts, you may have meant Keenum as the comparison, in that Allen has nothing to learn/gain by standing on the sidelines and watching how to not be an NFL QB, therefore not really comparable to the Keenum/Goff situation.
  21. I don’t think poor play would ruin his confidence, I think poor coaching and lack of support would. If he has the talent let him take his lumps this season. He’s more mobile than Peterman and the threat of his arm should open up the running game somewhat. Spell him with Peterman for a series or two if you have to in order to let him collect his thoughts and to coach him up in game if he’s having a rough stretch, but the season would be completely wasted by continuing to start Peterman... and I personally don’t want to see him start another game for the Bills ever again.
  22. Was that Rico that I just heard yell “Right?!?!” from the unemployment line?
