  1. May help in giving leverage to team trading down above them to get bit more for pick, or get someone a bit more nervous and push them over edge to actually make the trade, if they were already thinking hard about it anyway.
  2. Russell Wilson: Wisconsin QB. Is only 5-11 so draft stock is hurt by that, but think he can play at NFL level, and will be a lower pick. Probably take him a few years, but think will be a good qb in the league after spending a few years developing, and if goes to right team becomes a legit starting caliber QB.
  3. I agree. Would be extremely surprised if he is taken before 14, cause his style fits what dalas and phily as SS to do, so would be great for them. Im not sure who is going to be there at 10, is small chance Kalil would be there and would love that, of ones that will likely be available i would love Keuchly or Floyd, but think they will wait on wr. So we are basically using top 10 draft choice to get a replacement for Scott then?
  4. 3rd down keuchly stays in, why would you replace a coverage position with a passrusher. Would take out a DE or move a DE inside and put him there, unless planning on playing old bears 46 defense or a 5-2 defense on passing downs. Dont disagree with the logic of your argument excecpt for the fact he has been injured so much last several years. Is something to be said for limiting his snaps so hes still there at end of year.
  5. Definately with you there, no way clairborn drops, who would be only cb think is better talent that Keuchly or Floyd IMO. Its so rare for ILB to be so good at coverage along with being tackling machine. He isnt perfect prospect cause doesnt pass rush, and isnt greatest at taking on a blockers, but is good at weaving through them, has tremendous range and is a sure tackler. He needs a team with good DT's in front of him to be at his best, and Bills have that. Think he is a great fit for Bills, cause his strengths meet bills need and IMO is the best MLB to come out of college since Urlacher for all around play.
  6. So if colts dont make playoffs and have high pick guess means luck was a flop too. They must have really flopped with Manning too, cause they didnt win at all with him till they drafted a line infront of him, and another reciever for him. Fact that they need a rt and rg bad has something to do with that. Need 5 good players on a line. We have 2 holes on line, and filling lt, allows rt to be filled as well. Course if no hurry to get good, can continue drafting lower and waiting for them to develope, personally not excited about waiting several more years.
  7. No complaints about Dareus pick, but ton on Spiller pick. Yes Spiller is good back, but would rather have kept Lynch and had a need filled than draft Spiller, and still hate the pick.
  8. If they do pick Barron shows that Buddy feels real secure in his job. With all the needs being passed over for him, if he does bust, Buddy really would be sticking his neck out there with a pick like this, ignoring needs and best player available.
  9. In case they pick Barron can i fill this in now?
  10. Really hate this pick. Is basically a slightly better version of Scott that hits allot harder IMO. Would seriously hate it if they picked him. With his playing style doubt he lasts much more than 4 years in NFL before spends more time on IR than feild, and at 10 he better be another Polamalu and I just dont see that kind of talent there. Well this really wouldnt surprise me, Buddy seems to care more about shocking people than improving team with first round picks of his.
  11. Kalil, love blackmon, but is only legit LT in the draft, are other receivers.
  12. Vikings will likely take him, but if not dont see him lasting till Bills, cause think someone will trade up in front of us for him.
  13. We have much bigger needs than safety, expectially considering Safteys lead the team in tackles way too often last season, we need serious improvement in LB play so safteys dont have to be first line of defense anymore.
  14. Im hoping we dont personally. think we have more pressing holes, and think he wasnt consistant enough in college, had some bad games then good ones. Not saying dont think will be good, but consistancy is extremely important for a CB, and not sure if hes an upgrade or more of the same for us, just younger.
  15. Think need to clarify what mean by start. Is he starting caliber period, or at left tackle. Think he is very well suited to be a long term starter at right tackle, but think of him more of a swing tackle, in that can play on left side in a pinch, but isnt his best position and probably dont want him starting there long term. I would say no, if mean just LT, and yes if RT is included in this discussion. I didnt answer cause not sure which mean.
  16. Sounds like the argument about why Leaf is better than Manning for some reason.
  17. 1 - Luke Kuechly LB 2 - Bobby Massie OT 3 - Marvin Jones WR Thinking Kalil, Justin Blackmon and Claiborne will all be gone at one, and they will continue to work on front 7. We have makings of very good defense with the line improvements made, adding a potential all pro LB to the mix could take them over the top. Could see him challenging Ray Lewis type impact behind line like this not too far into his career. Think they will Take Massie if there over Adams given choise, and thier desperate need for LT means may have to trade up few spots to get either. Tough to guess whose going to be there so far down, but thinking Jones may still be there, and has potential to grow into a top wr. Also could see them taking Josh Robinson CB here if is available. While Claiborne looks like could be a great one, have to agree with you that would rather not see a CB taken this high. We took a CB with a high 2nd rounder last year, so think we wait till 3rd or 4th to pick a corner myself.
  18. Think Center, and Punter are the only positions that havent been posted as being the one Bills will take first. Even had one say kicker as joke, so someone will be right and bragging for years, I'm hoping isnt this one. Though would be happier than if took running back or saftey.
  19. Didnt say we shouldnt draft another corner, we do every year, but dont think should do in first round. We just invested a high 2nd rounder on a cb last year, and we have huge needs for LT, 2nd WR, and OLB that need to be addressed as well. With the improved passrush, our secondarys job should get easier, since opposing QB's shouldnt be able to sit back and pick them apart at thier leasure anymore. If point to injuries as reason, then that makes the other positions that much more needy than CB, cuase we have allot less depth in other areas as well. Have 3 capable of starting, and 2nd rounder who finally gets a full offseason back.
  20. Dang so many people who think pot is nothing. Well the neighbors down the street from me dont think that, since thier daughter was killed by pot dealing gang, and the neighborhood a block from me doesnt, with all thier houses basically worthless cause of a house in the neighborhood being converted into a pot growing place and ruining the property values. It's a multibillion dollar illegal business funding murderers and gangs all over the US. Saying its like J-Walking is just an insult to the people who have been affected by it.
  21. Then either you playing ton of man to man and taking chance of being burned, and being predictable on defense, or playing a saftey at lb, and reducing your ability to stop run. I prefer having atleast 2 LB's that can play 3 downs, so can mix up the defense, and play zone coverages with efectiveness. Yes having Safety with ability to cover TE for known passing downs is nice as well, not all passing is done on passing downs Iits allot easier for offense to see a safety comming in know what kind of defense your playing, and know when the LB is in that cant cover as well. Makes it allot easier for a Coach to make the calls when knows the defense by the personel on the field. I would love to see this pick, but are several others that would love as well.
  22. Well count me in that crowd. Not because we dont need to get some younger cb's, but becuase means we are following same trends over and over. While yes they are getting older, they still should have 2 years left before start to decline. We have too many needs at other positions for starters, to draft starters for an already solid area IMO. Yes take a CB in top 4 rounds, but not with top pick please. Not to mention we drafted one with 2nd pick last year, we giving up on him already?
  23. The one thing you do get any year trading down is a cheaper rookie contract If want a player that will still be there, can get same player and save several million in the process. There may be very little difference in general terms between them, but that may not be true to a specific team. They may veiw a player that they want in a position of need, and see a team before them that may take that player. Just cause the generic draft guru's think they are all equal doesnt make seeing player in positions of need all gone by time your pick comes up.
  24. Why do i get the feeling that noone mentioned will be drafted here. Someone listed as a being in 15-25 range in one of the positions listed, but listed a notch below ones we are talking about.
  25. My biggest fear on Glenn is so many are questioning his desire or passion for the game. Afraid he may turn into another Mike Williams and not really put effort in requires to be good at next level.
