  1. No they have interns that do the research for them, but do they take time to read it all.
  2. Think he means Ok compared to LT. While isnt a number 2 wr, we usually have 3-4 wr's out there most of the time anyway, so isnt as glaring a need as LT, since currently we dont have anyone out there that doesnt need help, causing us to take RB/TE or both out of patterns to help pass block.
  3. Lines take 5 good players working together well. While LT is the position that requires the most one on one blocking against oppenents best player, takes 5 players working together to be good. If want to be using TE and RB's in passing game, better have good Tackles though. Without good line play great QB's only look good and good ones look bad, running game is inconsistant and have trouble converting third downs. Unless have a Payton quaility at QB, your skill players dont get put into position to make very many plays. Most football games are still won and lost at line of scrimmage IMO. While one star Lineman wont turn a bad offense into great one, one bad one can turn a good one into a bad one pretty easily. With what we have currently on our roster, either our LG will have to slide out to play tackle, weaking two positions, or someone more suited to play RT will have to play LT again. Either case means either RB or TE will have to help line on most passing plays, limiting the options on offense, and making it that much easier for defense. Think its too high a price to pay to move up for LT, but think getting a capable one is extremely important if want to have a consistant offense in the NFL.
  4. LOL depth at the position, Well if dont mind going through a few qb's, or having them playing injuried, sure just get depth. Most games are still won lost at the line of scrimmage, while yes if dont have any skill players winning line doesnt mean as much, but we have great backs, and above average passing game if line can hold thier own. Get line atleast as good as it was before Bell and other linemen went down last year, and expect that we will have a respectable offense again. However leave Hairston as starting LT and will have to keep TE and or RB in to block every down again, and will significantly hamper the offence, unless he makes a huge jump from last year IMO.
  5. Doubt would only take first and 2nd to move up, especially if Ryan Tannehill is still available. They will likely want next years number one, and think thats too much. We have many needs, and while would love to get him, not sure if giving up the number 2 in a pretty deep draft is worth it.
  6. Disagree, if Troup is healthy, which is a big if maybe, there is no comparison. Heard is big, but is easily taken out of plays, once he gets moving a direction, its been pretty easy to just keep him moving that way. Slow first step, doesnt require more than one player to block him. Basically just a big body for rotation. Troup is allot more athletic, and capable of being starter with more seasoning rather than just a body on roster like Heard. If Troup is cut there will be multiple teams calling him, unless Back doesnt recover, cause of the talent he has. If heard gets cut, would be very surprised if gets more than a practice squad invite. Maybe over the 2nd corner, but need is very high for LB and OT, and are so many players that are undrafted that can fillout roster for training camp at CB, and have just as good a chance at making the squad as the 2nd one drafted.
  7. LOL, Not sure why got Richardson and Clairborne mixed up. Sorry.
  8. LOL, another first round rb, wow really. They would see all thier momentum in season ticket sales sprinting back to return thier tickets.
  9. Personally not sold on Floyd, feels like a bust to me, but if Bills take him will route for him like anyone else.
  10. I agree played well for a Guard playing Tackle, but dont think would want him there long term. Probably cause doesnt have fast enough first step, long enough arms, or enough exp/technique to be trusted at tackle. Tackles are often on an island so to speak, and unless willing to cut down on recievers to give them allot of help, have allot of one on one blocking assignments. With his size, and slow first step, probably not best choice for edge protection.
  11. Well cant say I agree with the assessment that he did well at LT or that he is the LT of the future. Saw a scouting tape breakdown of him, and it was not pretty. He really needs a ton of work, and needs to improve footwork, first step, ability to change directions and technique to be able to play LT without help inside and outside like got most of the snaps last year. He does show tenacity and some good run blocking skills however and looks more like a future quality RT to me.
  12. Think he said something more along the lines of comfortable who we have on our team, not specifically mentioning Hairston. He better make a huge jump in 2nd year, cause looked lost first year. Watched a scouting breakdown tape of him, and it wasnt pretty.
  13. Its not like have great run support from the LB currently slotted to play behind him either.
  14. You mean cutting edge like the wishbone?
  15. Its probably backloaded with roster bonus after first or 2nd year. If he stays healthly and gains some strength will be worth the money, If not, they probably have the roster bonus as a way to get out without giving him too much.
  16. Probably was a reach, he was considered borderline first rounder.
  17. Well Davis wouldnt mind, and really like Manning. Not sure on Bradham, they say he can cover, but not sure he is quick enough to cover at next level. I dont think Lewis fits the system moving too well.
  18. Well our Safety's were our LB's last year seemed. They made so many tackles that normally would be made by a LB, but our Lb's were being blocked. Switch to 4-3 should help our LB's significantly, as one less of them on the field, and with 2 DT's they should be protected good portion of the time and free to make tackles. Think we need an upgrade at atleast one OLB spot if defense is going to be able to stop run consistantly, but just protecting them should make them all look better.
  19. He also got allot of those yards when oppenent were in pass defense, or defenses designed not to give up big play becuase bills were down in allot of those games when he got those yards. Is a good looking player, but really needs to work on pass blocking and setting up his blockers better before hes ready to take over for Freddy IMO.
  20. Agree that rest of injuries meant he didnt get the help he needed, but the Fitz injury doesnt affect time to throw or pass blocking. Just ment that was painfull for him to throw. If not for the other injuries, te could have played outside him and helped him or guard could slide out and let center pick up his man. Would much rather see Bell or someone who can man block most DE's good portion of time than someone who needs ton of help myself.
  21. Not sure where all the confidence in Hairston is comming from. Maybe with offseason to learn to play the position he will improve significantly, but he struggled mightily imo. Where very limited in what could do on offense when he was in there. I seriously hope he isnt the lt going into the season, or we better have a good backup for Fitz, cause going to need one.
  22. Switching back to 4-3 should significantly help run defense. We have 2 legitimate DT's that can clog up the middle, and some descent backups too. Yes the ends are rush specialists, but Williams isnt bad against the run either. With 2 dt's that are this distruptive, that frees up the MLB to roam free, and our run defense will be fine as long as Kelvin Sheppard plays respectable against the run, feel that we will be fine this year. With Dareus at DE was easy to wall him off to run inside, and our lb's were easy pickings once Willaims was hurt, but with him on inside, and Williams hopefully healthy again, and playing a much more natural position for him, dont really have too much of worry against the inside run game this year. The other olb spot i do have concerns with, and I am very hopefull they will address this in the draft or we may be weak on the off tackly and pitch run plays. Short passing game, slants, and TE's are my concern on defense. See allot of mid/short passes if we dont get one more olb with pass defense skills. Yes we resigned Scott, but he mainly plays on passing plays as LB, and think we more help on first and run downs for teams using short pass as running game. Well he didnt really have an offseason to learn the passing game, and has a rep as slow learner of offenses anyway. But other than allot of passing yards he really hasnt shown much as a starter. If he has full offseason to learn the offense and get comfortable with the other players think hell be ok as fill in, but if Fitz goes down wouldnt want him to be starter for more than game or two.
  23. I have hard time believing was torn during a workout during ofseason too. When did he start working out before training camp.
  24. Not discounting CJ, accounting for the MVP like performance of Freddy. Dont Dump MVP for descent IMO. Fell freddy is in top group of backs in whole league. CJ dont fell is starter on 2/3's of teams in league. Plus he got our QB killed with his awefull pass blocking, hence him getting pulled on 3rd downs most of the year.
