You say that based on 2 words from one definition? How about these since you seem obsessed about "fan" coming from "fanatic": A person marked or motivated by an extreme, unreasoning enthusiasm, as for a cause. a person whose enthusiasm or zeal for something is extreme or beyond normal limits Informal a person devoted to a particular hobby or pastime; fan a jazz fanatic Or from a thesaurus: fanatic - a person motivated by irrational enthusiasm (as for a cause) enthusiast, partizan, partisan - an ardent and enthusiastic supporter of some person or activity As to the bolded part of your quote, give me a !@#$ing break and grow up.

How the Mighty Have Fallen A little tough to hear but I can't find any fault in what he says. But give them another 3 or 4 years and we will be right back in the hunt ... right?
-
Also A fan, sometimes also called aficionado or supporter, is a person with an intense, occasionally overwhelming liking and enthusiasm for something. Maybe the whiners as you call them have an intense, occasionally overwhelming dislike for the object of their fandom sucking balls the the last decade. You can be a fan and not follow blindly forever. Just sayin.

Was this the same night he said firing Gailey was a big mistake?

Now we know why we know the schedule hasn't come out yet.

Hmmm "roethlisraper" sounds to me like he was on the receiving end. -
Bradshaw spells it out for Rapelisberger
CodeMonkey replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My comment wasn't about getting in trouble, it was about Bradshaws comment about staying out of clubs his entire career. -
I certainly can't argue with that!

Bradshaw spells it out for Rapelisberger
CodeMonkey replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm sure TB is correct. But that same logic could be applied to going anywhere, not just clubs. What's the guy supposed to do, sit at home and read (assuming he can read) for 14 years? Not terribly realistic. If you were young, rich, and famous, which would you choose? -
If she was raped ... and that's all we can say right now ... then I'm sure everyone would detest him even more than Vick. I certainly would. But if she is bringing a false accusation .... and again, that's all we can say right now ... in order to get a payday then she is the scumbag. It is amazing to me how people can jump to illogical conclusions so quickly and believe one person they don't know over another person they don't know. If this was Lee Evans or Freddy Jackson instead of a non-Bill, would you be so quick to believe the girl?

Rapelisberger could still be suspended
CodeMonkey replied to mike oxhurtz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
By all accounts he is too good a lawyer to do that. But remember, in cases like these no matter who wins and who loses, the only people guaranteed to make money are all the lawyers. I like this line too: When do lawyers "investigate allegations"? That's the job of the police. Lawyers get involved when they smell money. I'm not saying he is not a scumbag rapist any more than I am saying that he is one. But if you want to see a guaranteed scumbag, look at the attorneys. -

I don't believe I have ever demonized Vick or Lynch. But at least there was no doubt of their guilt. They were proven guilty and/or caught in the act. "Big Ben" was not ... at least not yet. Big difference there. But I wouldn't expect someone who makes a statement like is bolded above to recognize that. Just out of curiosity, how do you know he raped anyone? -

I have no idea if he is guilty or not (and frankly I don't care) ... and neither do you. What happened to innocent until proven guilty? Or did I miss the part about that not being the case for famous people. -

Exactly. But I doubt even the NFL is that stupid. You want to talk about a lawsuit just begging to happen. -
Santonio Holmes traded to the Jets!!
CodeMonkey replied to sven233's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I love statements like this. It's as though every other team passed on this deal and the Jets were the last ones asked. What, if the Bills don't make a deal it has to suck? And how do you get "risk" out of giving up a 5th rounder? !@#$ing homers are laughable sometimes. -
What have the Bills done that has impressed you?
CodeMonkey replied to BillsfaninFl's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm impressed that it took 2 pages before that came out -
Beastmode can't leave. He still owes me $20!

You have hit the nail on the head here. Once you understand and accept this basic fact, most of the moves (or lack thereof) by OBD will start to make sense to you. If you need proof of this being a fact, just look around here a little. There any many who openly state they will buy their season tickets, jerseys etc. as long as they are the Buffalo Bills. -
People that I know that have gone in the past are skipping this year because of the dumbass starting Thursday night for round 1 nonsense to get more primetime commercial dollars. Going down for the weekend is one thing. Now having to take extra days off from work plus the extra expense, what's the point.

Bills offered McNabb an extension
CodeMonkey replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There was no point trading for McNabb if he wasn't going to sign an extension. And he made it fairly clear that he would not sign one with either the Raiders or the Bills. He recognizes he is in the tail end of his career and is not looking for a team just beginning a rebuild. I don't blame him at all. -
It serves no more purpose than saying Gailey is a proven winner and is clearly the savior this team has been needing for the past 10 (50?) years. However, Gailey does have an extensive football history. In this case, it is not unreasonable to assume what he will achieve in Buffalo will closely resemble what he has been able to accomplish in the past.
-
Oh. I said many times on here that I feel Gailey was probably the best they could do under the circumstances. If it were me at GM, I would have taken a hard look at Frazier. But I understand Nix wanting a old school guy like himself. It just astounds me though how people can look at Gaileys history (on many teams - why so many?) and make statements like "proven winner". The only things actually proven are that he interviews well enough to get hired a lot, and that he will probably neither win or lose a lot of games in any one season. He is our coach and Nix is our GM. I hope they both do fantastic jobs. But people trying to blow smoke up their asses by grossly overstating the facts for whatever reason just ruffles my feathers I guess.

Exclusive video for Season Ticket holders

Loved his last answer about wanting to make The Ralph the nastiest place to play in the league for the opposition again. -
Now THAT would have been worth the price of admission

So all Brandon has to do by this logic is hire a new HC every 2-3 years and all is well. Nice. Oh my Gawwwwwd not again. The Bill Cowher of that time? Taking a decent team and in the 2nd (and final) year ending up 8-8 and losing both years in the first round of the playoffs. Jones regretted firing him, yes he did say that apparently, but riddle me this ... if he regretted it so much why did he never hire Gailey back even as a OC if not a HC? This whole paragraph is just so wrong it hurts to read it. Now I'm not saying the 'Good Ole Boy' connection shouldn't be given a fair chance, because I think they should (besides what real say do we have in the matter). But man when I read extreme homer posts with amazing spin on the facts like this one it makes me shake my head in amazement.

Well technically 0 out of 0 is not 100% ... just sayin
