Agreed, but horrible judgment does not make you a rapist. And I don't think he is being suspended for being an idiot (which he pretty clearly is). I don't know for a fact, but I have a strong suspicion that if Sir Roger handed out 6 game suspensions to every player who had sex in a bar with a groupie (drunk or not) some teams might not be able to field a team on some Sundays.

Dude, she doesn't even know if they had sex or not, much less if she said yes or no. Unless you are saying for a fact that the police report was completely falsified and she didn't make the reported statements about not being raped and she was not falling down drunk?

I admit this is far more extreme that I would have guessed. Particularly when originally I thought since there was no arrest for lack of evidence he wouldn't be punished at all. It makes me wonder though, if he had say been in a bar fight or accused of something other than rape, would Sir Roger have given this big of a suspension? Particularly considering that to my knowledge BR has never been suspended before. Rape is such that even a accusation can bring about strong feelings and reactions from people (obviously, just read the various threads here).

I applaud the bolded above. That point seems lost on some. I don't want PigBen either. But it has nothing to do with his off field conduct. I just think he is overrated. The first SB was won in spite of him, not because of him. The second, eh. Granted he is a huge improvement over anything we have had for a very long time. But unless Pitt was giving him away for two 2nd's or less, I pass.

Hmmm. Not sure a doom and gloom outlook is irrational given the past decade. You might not like it and it certainly isn't as much fun as the "19-0" stuff. But irrational?

Don't take it so seriously, particularly this year. We are starting a long rebuild and are going to suck and end up last in the AFC East. Go in knowing that, and losses won't depress you because they are expected. And the occasional win (and there will be a few like KC and the Browns (for Gods sake can we please beat them this year!)) will give you a nice lift.

So far he is wired like me. I would not come back unless the conditions were perfect for me. So far that seems to be what the chin is doing as well.

I love it. Last year there were far too few 1pm starts. This year all early games. I couldn't be happier. Was kinda hoping Chan the man was going to be able to ease into this season, but it opens with 4 tough ones.

I hope so. We will be out of the playoffs by then but knocking the cheaters out of the playoffs at their place would be a VERY nice ending to the season for me.

Well, the "new" front office said they were going to rebuild through the draft, not free agency. They have held true to the no free agency part. Now it's their time to shine in the draft. What's interesting to me is whether or not Smithers will pull the strings and make a PR based pick or not. Don't have long to wait to find out now.

Wow. Just ... wow. Suspended for the year with no evidence (at least so far) of any actual wrongdoing. I mean, they don't even know for a fact that PigBen had any kind of sex with this most recent intoxicated off her ass girl. So suspended for a year because of 2 (albeit probably true) allegations, for being stupid enough to even put himself in that situation a second time, and because you don't like how he conducts himself in his private life. Tough crowd.

You never know, a lot of teams go immediately in the first round as they already know who they want. Anyway, it used to be this.
