  1. The bolded part sure describes the "you give your money and time to the team no matter what" crowd.
  2. Have you read any of the Pig Ben threads?
  3. I would agree with that. But then some would argue "what about the poor workers subjected to that vile carcinogen against their will". I know I know, "don't work there". But ultimately I believe the desire by society at large is to make it so inconvenient and expensive to smoke that fewer kids start. Then when the current addicts die off and the number of active smokers is small enough to be manageable, they will make it illegal outright.
  4. That has been the debate for a while right. Alcohol is addictive and harmful and legal. Tobacco as well. But not pot, heroin, cocaine etc etc. Not logical to me.
  5. Pretty clear I would think. But I will try again. Most professional football players are not very smart. Or if they were at one time, their brains have been scrambled by all the helmet to helmet contact in their careers.
  6. If all you get the ticket for is the Bills, then just watch online.
  7. Assuming those details are accurate, WTF was he thinking even having a 15 year old girl in his hotel room. I know football players aren't the sharpest tools in the shed, but come on. Maybe he was tired of Pig Ben getting all the press so he decided to one up him by going 15.
  8. As I said earlier in this thread ...Laws regulating personal conduct can be justified on three grounds, one of them being The Harm Principle. Which states that laws are justified if they prevent individuals from causing harm to others. In other words, the second hand smoke argument. So for example if you were to inject the drug (nicotine) into your system or say wear one of the stop smoking patches, no problem since nicotine is currently legal. But since the act of smoking has been determined to be harmful to others around the smoker, particularly in a closed environment like in a building, it can be made illegal. In fact, I believe that in California it is illegal to smoke in your home or your car if there are children there. Good luck enforcing that, particularly the home part, but I believe they did make that law.
  9. Yowza, give your keys to someone before each game man
  10. Are you saying there are no west coast ivory tower jackoffs?
  11. Yeah like I said, only he knows for sure and even if he raped her he isn't going to say that. Winds up being scumbag-he said, drunken-she said. I do feel sorry for the girl, she got taken advantage of in a disgusting way. I hope she (and other girls reading the story) can learn from it.
  12. Bought her shots, most likely though I doubt he held her nose and poured them down her throat against her will. At some point people have to take responsibility for their own actions. Even 20 year olds (in several bars illegally mind you). "some sort of sexual contact with her" I am unaware of any evidence of this. That night the girl said she didn't remember if they had sex or not. The next morning was a different story I guess. Only 1 person knows for sure and he isn't talking. Infer what you want but no one is getting convicted of anything in the US based on this, much less rape. Waste of skin, clearly true.
  13. One reason I gave up seasons. Not that specifically to me, but I've seen people puked on by raging drunken !@#$s. It just got way past the point of having a good time there. At least for me.
  14. Well that was Kelly's lawyers take on the events. Hers was obviously different. But if you believe PigBen is a rapist just because the girl said so the next day, then you would have to say Kelly was guilty of the assault as well. Granted, there were probably lots of witnesses not related to Kelly that could set the record straight in his case, but you get my point about accused meaning guilty. Sometimes people try to scam this way to make some bucks or for some other reason.
  15. Well, actually, if you believe it ... Jim Kelly being sued by woman for assault
  16. Yes, the "true fans" will not like this at all.
  17. Yeah that has to be a pretty freaking thankless job. There are far too many drunken !@#$s that need to be punched in the face there on any given Sunday for me to hold onto that job for long. I give your GF credit.
  18. I can see it now ... a fat dude dressed in drag holding up a sign "Ben ... I'm 20, DTF and wasted out of my mind ... meet me in the bathroom"
  19. Well, actually, there are combo Pizza Hut and Taco Bell joints, so maybe
  20. I think if a sports team ... any sports team, wants a stadium, they should pay for it themselves. Having it paid for or even subsidized by government is a monumental waste of taxpayer money.
  21. Agreed. But being a complete knucklehead is enough to get you a 4 to 6 game suspension from King Roger!
  22. You lost me right there bud.
  23. This post is probably the most accurate in this thread ... except its spelled Kool-Aid
  24. Forced himself? Ugh. A lot of embellishment going on with this story. That night the girl was so wasted she didn't even know if she had sex or not, much less if she was forced. If you were having consensual sex in a bar bathroom and had body guards there working for you, wouldn't you have them give you some privacy? If the previous case you are talking about was in Vegas (I believe), the girl had made previous accusations against rich/famous people in an attempt to get paid. The DA said that was another attempt. I can't argue the classless remark at all. He is by all accounts a spoiled brat scumbag and if he were to get !@#$ed in a bar bathroom by a couple guys when he was wasted I would shed no tears. It hurts me to take the side of a guy like PigBen. But man this guilty by accusation stuff really strikes a nerve with me.
  25. He was convicted of raping someone? Wow, last I heard he had not been charged with anything. I need to read the news more I guess. I missed that one.
