Why wouldn't he shop around? The only way you know your fair market value is by talking to other teams and see what they offer. He would be stupid not to shop around, even if his preference was to stay in the b-lo.

I guess I can see where the OP would be happy that the Bills are still in Buffalo. But how in the world can anyone be proud of a team that has sucked so bad for so long? They are a joke, a laughing stock of the NFL. There has been nothing to be proud of for the past 13 seasons.

Spiller did not make the pro bowl because the Bills suck ass and have not been anywhere near relevant for well over a decade and counting. The pro bowl is a popularity contest and no one gives a **** about the Bills.

Plus he would get paid for next season even if he is fired.

A lot of Bills fans love him and would be excited to have him be a part of the organization in any way. It also would add more fuel to the fire of this group of rich backers he has lined up to buy the Bills when the time comes. I agree with you that Kelly brings nothing to the table other than his passion for the Bills and for Buffalo. But that passion is more than enough for a large amount of the Bills ticket buying public. I do not expect Kelly to have building or any other significant role. More like a VP of selling tickets.

Yeah I never understood how people could believe businesses (not counting people turning their yards into parking lots, but bars and restaurants etc.) can make most, or even a significant percentage, of their annual income in 8 days of the year and be able to stay in business. Unless the establishment is only open those 8 days a year in the first place. Businesses around the arena are a lot different. The sabres have 41 home games per year. Plus the arena has other teams, numerous concerts and other events as well. There is no comparison to be made about businesses around the arena and the ones around the Ralph.
