Yeah it sometimes helps to read the entire thing you are quoting -

On this forum no Bill ever holds, but some Bill is getting held on every play. -

Kyle Williams' penalty

I somewhat agree. As far as what the defense can do regarding hitting someone I agree completely. I'm left wondering sometimes if the choices defenders have in a lot of cases is take a 15 yard penalty or let the opponent go in for the score. However in the KW case I disagree completely. All players should know by now that actively getting in someones face (and he did, he specifically went over to the player to do so) can be flagged. It might not always be, and in fact it might almost never be, but it can be. Therefore instead of doing the stupid thing and risk the penalty, you suck it up then and perhaps show the other player your displeasure at a later time by means of putting him on his ass (preferably legally, but strongly) rather then just talking trash. Kinda the hockey philosophy of payback. -
Maybe Russ got a really good deal on white pom poms but would have had to pay more for blue ones.

I imagine pretty much everyone here loves the idea of the Bills winning out the rest of the season. But those same people have also watched the games so far and know that isn't happening, not even if they REALLY Billieve But I say dare to dream

Sad and true both at the same time. What a crime that Miller is on the Sabres. He deserves to be on a team that is not a joke. I feel bad that he is wasting this season.

The same claims are made every week here, particularly after a loss but even after a win (albeit fewer). Do you really believe the Bills could possibly get the short end of the reffing stick every game? Not singling you out, just making a general comment. -

You are right, the reffing was bad. But it was bad for both teams. Taking the red and blue glasses off allows one to see that. -

Depends on how many QBs are hurt. Remember that the Bills kept pigpen on the roster for how long? Tuel is no worse. -

There were also numerous bad calls that went the Bills way. When are Bills fans going to stop blaming bad luck and bad calls for losses and put the blame where it belongs? -
Except that the "gutsy" play that was called put the TE into the end zone on the same side of the field that the QB was rolling out. Whats wrong with that you say? Well generally nothing. But in this case the TE they put into the pattern was not a TE, but a backup offensive lineman. You have to give yourself at least a high chance of success if you are going to make the "gutsy" call.

This Marrone fella, he's gonna be a good one

Dude, if Lewis ends up being better than Tuel, then those are two HUGE F-ups. Not to mention the others he has had in the other games this season. I don't know if he is going to amount to anything yet or not, but he definitely needs to stop the brain-farts. -
Sadly, that is always the mantra of the Bills ... they should be good next year. I generally agree, but in this case I think it was the right move. It was the kids first drive so obviously he was pumped, particularly running it in himself. Doing "the leap" not only fired up his teammates, it fired up the crowd at the Ralph even more than it already was. When I see veteran players celebrate after every play when they are down by a bunch of points and essentially in garbage time annoys me to no end. But in this case, Thad's leap was all good as far as I am concerned.

Gilmore has a lot of promise. But why the F he was in there today with a club hand I have no idea. The D was terrible today. Forget the excuses, they were terrible, 4th and 15 and the Bungles showed the Bills D no respect and made it look easy. Very disturbing. Lewis overall played considerably better than I expected. That last TD he hit the receiver over the top and in stride. Unlikely that Manuel makes that perfect of a throw. Those that like to blame the zebras for every loss, please shut up. If you had your eyes open you would see equally bad calls that went the Bills way. The Bungles D collapse was an amazing thing to behold. The Bills almost made them pay for it.

If true, would have had to have been setup way before the end of todays game. Probably well before the game even started. -

My gameday prognostications...
CodeMonkey replied to The Senator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They probably aren't spending too much time "analyzing" this game. They figure the Bils were struggling with Manuel, and now they have a practice squad QB starting and that he is probably a practice squad guy for a reason. But I see a low scoring game. The Bungles stack the box and stop the run forcing Thad to beat them in the air, which is doubtful that he can do. The Bungles offense isn't "all that" either, plus with the Bills D getting healthier I can't see them scoring much. If the Bills D gets some turnovers deep in the Bungles end that lead to Bills FGs (or pic-six) the Bills can win this. If not, it should go to the bad guys. -
A big part of why is because you are a Bills fan. No one but Bills and Bungles fans will be watching that game tomorrow.

P. Manning, RG3 and Romo versus Thad Lewis and Andy Dalton. No great mystery there.

... to himself. But it is a nice gesture nonetheless!

One of the reasons I don't want to go is BECAUSE it is a nice day outside. Don't want to spend it sitting in the Ralph. Not to me, but to each his own.
