  1. We'll live or die by the OLine. Brown (or Ifedi) is going to have to pan out at RT.
  2. It's all about our offense vs their defense imo. My concern is them blowing up our OLine and putting us in hero ball mode. That can't happen if we want to win.
  3. Defensive pessimism. Pure and simple. Hell, in my family when we're being defensive pessimists in other areas of life we literally say..."well, we're Bills fans so we can be defensive pessimists..." But you don't need to drag neuroses onto the forum for christssake.
  4. Wants to spin this off from the Josh is lazy thread....makes a post that belongs in that thread...
  5. I can't stand how much Sauce gets away with flagrant holding etc. Why doesn't he get called for it?
  6. With the moves this off-season (include those that happened down to the wire), the biggest question mark to me is Dorsey. We need to see an ability to adapt when we're getting punched in the face by a defense.
  7. I didn't hear it myself but apparently on one of the networks that aired the Bears game, the audio from Beane and the announcers kept running when they thought a commercial break was overriding their mics. Beane was saying Kyle just wasn't getting it and expressed disappointment with his offseason (allegedly).
  8. With the roster going through its final machinations, I've got three areas that I think are critical for our season: 1) Dorsey. I thought we were remarkably inflexible with the play-calling last year. It was fine most of the time, but I thought our ability to adapt to defenses was poor. We have got to lean on the shorter and intermediate game and sprinkle in deep shots as our default, and then adjust as needed from there. 2) The play of the offensive line. Positionally this is our most limiting factor. It's not a coincidence that the best OLine we've had in recent memory (which was only ranked 10th in the league fwiw) was the year we should have won the superbowl. 3) Health, as always.
  9. I still think crowder would have been a significant contributor if he stayed healthy.
  10. Tell me about Gouraige already. The kid has something.
  11. Yup. That was my main head-scratcher after watching the cuts come out, but to be honest no one acquitted themselves well in that spot after Brown. Would have been great to see Gouriage get run on the right side but alas... Definitely.
  12. I just didn't see much good RT play in the preseason - certainly not from Van Demark (who did much better on the left). Anderson was a tackle in college I believe, but has been IOL-focused this offseason. Same with Edwards. Bates is a swiss army knife...is he the first in at RT?
  13. Didn't Anderson play IOL this offseason? Who are we thinking is our backup RT?
  14. I'm not surprised. Although we are currently without a backup RT I believe?
  15. Needs to work on maintaining containment. Seems to have had a good camp but quiet preseason. An interesting player for sure.
  16. I couldn't stand him as a prospect in that draft. Does he really offer much as a backup?
  17. Wow. News to me. If he's at risk of being cut this seems like a no brainer.
  18. It would be so curious to see if our offense would have more sustainable drives with Sherfield as #2. I like Gabe but he almost encourages the clunky out-of-rhythm passing game we saw at times last year.
  19. My biggest positive was seeing quick decisions by Josh with some actual routes available (Dorsey presumably) that lend themself to such an approach. Hope it's the start of a trend.
