  1. I agree that CJ Spiller is a complete bust. But CJ Spiller is just one of a laundry list of problems on this team that's fallen into an abyss.
  2. Dude, I'm as loyal of a Bills fan as there is. BILLeve me! ...but we just lost 35-8 to the 3-7 Dolphins. We are done!
  3. Congradulations on winning this years "Douchebag Of The Year" award! !!!
  4. Um..here's a wild idea. How about stopping with the excuses and beating the Jets ANYWAY!.... :/
  5. What noboby ever talks about? The Denver defense! This defense of the Broncos is REALLY good! And Von Miller? I'm really wishing the Bills could've grabbed him in the draft last year. Its unbelievable, this game was a mirror image of Denver's game against Miami. The Bronco offense plays like absolute garbage for the better half of 3 1/2 quarters, but the defense is stout all game long, and Tebow scrambles down the field for the win. LOL WOW. Well, as a Bills fan, my thanks goes out to Von Miller and the Denver D, and some guy named Tebow, who somehow still makes a living in the National Football League as a starting quarterback.
  6. ...and right about now, all of Bills Nation is sporting huuuge Tebow-ners! unbelievable. Theres still hope, Bills fans.
  7. Well, according to Bills nation, the same Bills nation that clamored for Ralph Wilson to extend the contract of Ryan Fitzpatrick after a 3-0 start (which he eventually did, btw-Fitzpatrick hasn't won a game since being given the contract extension), yes the same Bills nation that kept saying that George Edwards "ball-hawking" defense was one of the best in the league (even though they are on pace to give up a record amount of yardage this season), and lets not forget the same Bills nation that said that this is finally the year that they get into the playoffs after ending an embarrassing streak of defeats at the hands of the New England Patriots (yes the same Patriots who may very well have an even worse defense than the Bills, yet somehow are atop the AFC East by throwing to Tight Ends all the time). I must admit, life sucks right now as a Bills fan. Does it feel like 2008 all over again? Absolutely! But there is a difference between this team and the one that started 5-1 that year and finished winning 1-9 that year. Contrary to what many of the so-called "experts" believe, this team does have WAY more talent than that team. Fitzpatrick DOES deserve that contract. I really believe that he is simply trying to play up to the contract and throw balls that he can not make. He needs to just do what he does best. The team DOES NOT need to desparately go out and sign Terrell Owens, it DOES need to involve Fred Jackson in the offense WAY more than it has the last two weeks. Yes, the offensive line, as I expected, is dealing with alot of key injuries. But good teams learn to adjust to injuries. One of the questions that remains, if this team wants to make the playoffs, is can they adjust accordingly. Test #1 failed this past week in Dallas (Fitzpatrick was blasted on the very first offensive play from scrimmage, and the team seemingly didn't recover and looked rattled the rest of the day.) This is gut-check time in Buffalo. Not all hope is lost. I personally believe this is still the best team the Bills have fielded in ten years. My feelings haven't changed since the 3-0 start. But, as they say: The NFL season isn't a sprint, it's a marathon. Injuries occur, every team has them. The Green Bay Packers have injuries (10-0), the San Francisco 49ers have injuries and are QBed by Alex Smith and have a rookie head coach (8-1). Good teams learn to deal with things as the season moves along. The one thing that made this team good ealry in the season was how they overcame adversity. Overcoming deficites of 18 and 21 points. They have a signature catchphrase "Nobody cirles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills". Its time to dig deep and find out, as Stevie Johnson quoted earlier this year, if these aren't "the same old Buffalo Bills". Chan, Fitz, Stevie....now its time to PROVE IT!
  8. Im not really in the mood to elaborate on the topic title, but I guess I have nothing better to do. It feels like 2008 all over again. First of all, the defensive coordinator needs to be fired immediatly! George Edwards may very well be the worst defensive coordinator we've ever had. If you want to disagree with me, i really dont give a damn right now. I'm sick to death of this bullsh*t every year. This team year in and year out accepts losing. It accepts mediocrity. The owner falls in love with coaches and quarterbacks before they even prove a damn thing. And by that, I mean a full season of success with a playoff berth. This team is exactly what all the experts say that it is, the same experts we dont want to listen to. The Colin Cowherds, the Chris Mortensens, etc. Its just a deflating feeling and as a fan who has loved this team for more than two decades, I'm not sure how much more I can take.
  9. Too bad we don't have the FOX announce team, Bills are 1-0 with that team (vs. WASHINGTON) and 0-2 so far with Nantz and Simms (L's to Giants and Jets).
  10. As much as it pains me as a diehard Bills fan to have to route for either the Pats or Jets tomorrow, I think we have to route for New England. If Buffalo beats Dallas (which I think they will, emphatically), and if the Patriots beat the Jets later tomorrow night, the Bills will be back atop the AFC east due to having a better record than the Jets and having the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Patriots. If the Jets win and Buffalo loses, they are in a real hole at (essentially) being three games back of the Jets. Tomorrow is a big game for the Bills heading into the home-stretch of the season, needless to say. BILLS-30 DALLAS-23. PATRIOTS-41 JETS-27. GO BILLS!!!
  11. As much as I hate to admit it, maybe this team is a bit overrated. I personally saw this (loss) coming a mile away! All of the hype, the whole "Whiteout" thing, combined with a couple of wins vs. New England and Oakland that we had to come back from huge deficits in order to win. This team was just not overmatched today, they looked tired, undisciplined, and outclassed. It didn't surprise me a bit that Buffalo lost today. It didn't even surpise me the way that they lost today. They couldn't stop the run...AGAIN. With the exception of the Carrington sack, they couldn't pressure the Quarterback...AGAIN. The offensive line looked like deer in the headlights against the Jets DL and LB's...YET AGAIN! My assessment of this team thus far: They're a group that plays week in and week out like they have nothing to lose. Fine. When you haven't made the playoffs in a decade (and counting), you are able to play that way. The problem with that is, when you start to have success and win ball games, you need to begin to take yourselves a bit more seriously. If you don't, you find yourself getting ran over by a team that has that sense of urgency that you lack because you've been a complete joke since 1999. That team showed up today, at Ralph Wilson Stadium, right in the middle of our "Whiteout", and delivered a well deserved reality-check to your organization. The Jets have lined up against the Bills for the last four meetings, making no secret about what they intend to do (run the football, "Ground and Pound", etc.), you know what they're going to try to do, and you STILL cannot stop it. Even though the opening possession resulted in an interception, the drive lasted over ten minutes. Almost every time (in the Rex Ryan era), Buffalo looked like they didn't belong on the same field. My advise to the Bills: You can either take this punch in the face as a wakeup call, show that you can be resilliant and be a better team as a result of this loss. Or...is it the killshot that ended your season. I'm taking it as a wakeup call and calling for a blowout at Cowboys stadium next week. I really do believe this team is different than teams from the last ten years. And next week will be the week the new era of Bills football (a winning era) will begin: BILLS-34 COWBOYS-10.
  12. If there was anybody who should tank, purposly, its the Colts. With all the success over the years with Manning, the front office has avoided the inevitable: Life without Peyton. Now, they're living the sobering reality of such. Hell, the Colts don't need to try to lose to get Andrew Luck, they're 0-16 "bad" when they play hard.
  13. I don't blame Garrett at all for attempting to run the ball. NE's defense is terrible vs. the run and their DBs, as bad as that defense is, is very opportunistic in taking the ball away via interceptions.
  14. Its one of those things where, if he completes the pass to Johnson, Gailey's a genius for being aggressive, everybody on TSW is ready for the Bills to sign Fitz and Stevie to extension, the Bills are 5-1 and Bills fans are on top of the world. But, since it didn't, Gailey is a moron, Fitz stinks "again" and we need a "franchise QB"...how one play can change alot, huh?
  15. The weakest link on this football team is clearly the lack of a pass-rush. I've been reading many threads on many message boards talking about how bad our Defensive Backs are. Really?! Our secondary leads the league in interceptions. Any time any teams secondary leads the NFL in INTs, news flash: There not bad! What is killing this team, and has for several years, is the lack of a pass-rush. In fact, Buffalo hasn't even addressed this issue in several years. Now, I know what your going to say: "Well, they drafted Dareus and Kyle Williams is pretty good". DTs are there to stop the run. Oh, and by the way, the Bills are once again near the bottom of the league again in that particular catagory. I'm talking about defensive ends. Guys like Bruce Smith (remember him?), guys like DeMarcus Ware, Dwight Freeney, and Ndamukong Suh. I'm talking about guys who other teams need to utterly change the way they play their game because they need to gameplan around one guy. Is there one guy that teams do that to as it pertains to the Bills defense? Take a look at the Eagles game last week. We very rarely rushed Vick with just 3-4 pass rushers. There were alot of creative blitzes that Edwards threw at the Eagles offense that led to Vick throwing at least 2 of the 4 INTs. When did the Eagles start coming back? After Edwards called off the dogs and went to alot of 5-6 DBs and zone coverages, leading Vick to pick apart the secondary. Sunday vs. the Giants, I MAYBE saw the Bills blitz 5 times the entire game, against a QB that is quite erratic at times in Eli Manning. I just pray that during the bye week, the Bills coaching staff finds a way to generate a consistent pass rush by creating some zone-blitz schemes and/or acquiring or trading for a decent pass-rusher. Otherwise, 8-8 may be the best we do this season.
  16. If we do not find some sort of a consistent pass-rush, we will finish no better than 8-8 with the toughest part of the schedule still to come. New blitz schemes and/or an aquisition/trade must happen and soon!
  17. Listen, lay off people who have reasonable criticisms about this team. We are all happy the Bills are 4-1, but the guy makes a good point. In the 2008 year when we started 5-1, there were a bunch of bean-headed people on this wall that said they didnt wanna hear any of the faults of that team. Then when we tanked the last 8 out of 10 games, those idiots were right back on here wanting to join in on the criticism. Any REAL Bills fan knows and agnologes the real problems on this team that need to be fixed before we can seriously contend for the playoffs. OP, I completely agree with you, dont listen to a bunch of jackasses who only want to bash peoples posts just to do it. People like you people need to find a life!!!!!
  18. Um, Brett...do you know what took Rodgers so long to win a World Championship???....YOU! If I recall, Rodgers had to ride the sideline for three years after he was drafted because you couldn't let go!!! Two years later, after you left Green Bay, he DID win the Superbowl! Speaking of "taking so long", there were a few years prior to 1996 when YOU finally won the big one that you lost a couple of NFC title games down in Dallas and a playoff game you choked away in San Francisco. Brett, just leave Aaron Rodgers alone, shut up and stay in retirement where you belong. I've loved Brett Favre for a long time, one of my favorite athletes of all time, but slowly. I'm losing alot of respect for the guy...
  19. I believe the big key for tomorrow's game for the Bills is going to be getting some good licks on Mike Vick. The Bills just don't have the personell to match up defensively against Vick, I'm sure even they know that. The most the defense can hope to accomplish is to get some shots on him when he does scramble. Make him think twice about running, even if we have to sacrifice some personal foul penalties. When Vick is successful running, most of the time, its when he doesn't get hit alot when he does run. Its a pretty dirty thing to say, but in order to beat a team with this guy as the QB, we, ourselves, need to get dirty. Vick had a concussion a few weeks ago, and recently deeply bruised his hand. If we can get enough shots on him, clean or not, its going to not only rattle Andy Reid, but Vick as well. Remember Vick's rant recently about the late hits on him. This may be our only hope to contain and rattle him.
  20. Just an FYI, Only Ron Jaworski picked the Bengals over the Bills last week. Nobody picked the Bills to beat the Patriots. Everybody has a right to their own opinion. If it makes you feel better I think the Bills will blow out the Eagles.
  21. Here's my assessment on you, Bruschi: You were a below average Linebacker in a system that more-or-less made you look like a star because you were on a team that included Tom Brady. The New England Patriots, now AND even when you were on the roster, were successful because of Tom Brady. New England is alot like the Colts: You take away the star QB, and you are a mediocre excuse for an NFL franchise. I can probably name 60 linebackers in the NFL that were better than you, Bruschi. Whenever you come on my TV screen, I turn the channel. You are a complete douche...
  22. I know that I'm going to be chastized for this, and deservedly so, but I can't get over the Stevie "non-catch" against Cincinnati. How in the hell can these bean-headed officials (whom by the way I hope Buffalo never draws to officiate a game EVER again) call this an incomplete pass. Bottom line, if Johnson's catch is called what it should've been-a catch, the Bills are 4-0 right now. Stuff like this haunts NFL teams year after year. It carries over, whether in perfomance, divisional races, or playoff seeding. My question continues to be, where and when did the football exactly hit the turf? Answer that! The NFL STILL hasn't bothered to explain exactly why this play was ruled incomplete! In fact, former Head of Officiating Mike Perrara of Fox Sports couldn't even come up with an explaination! And he has an answer for everything! My biggest fear is that this play is going to carry over the rest of the season in one form or another. This team has overcome alot of adversity and big deficits thus far, but given the fact that Johnson and other players on the team are still talking about this play really worries me. Coming back from this may be even bigger than 18 points to the Raiders and 21 points to New England. Hopefully this wagon can get circled...
