  1. You people talk out your a$$es so bad it ain't funny. If he was named the coach you'd love it and buy tickets. Just like you do year after year.... You mean the Wade Phillips that coached our last playoff game back in 1999 and has been better than our last four coaches??? THAT Wade Phillips???
  2. Have you watched this defense. I mean, even when we were winning they were bad. You are correct, it isn't all Edwards fault. Nix and Ralph are also responsible for not bringing in viable talent (ala-Pass Rusher(s), Defensive Backs, etc.) But, good coaches know how to compensate when they don't have the talent. They design different blitz schemes, they try to make the opposing QB check off at the line by disguising things (when's the last time you seen a QB do that against the Bills, John Beck maybe?) I watch this defense very, very closely every week, and every week its the same, base defense. Its quite simple, Edwards needs to be fired because he is not good, period. He is the worst EVER!
  3. I say this in the most respectful manner, sir: If you think Donte Whitner is a better NFL player than Hloti Ngata, you my friend are insane. Carry on...
  4. He's a ROOKIE! He needs time to grow. Not everybody can come in the league right away like Randy Moss and Tom Brady and just light it up right away. Its very rare. Also, this coaching staff knows nothing about grooming talent. They cut Maybin, now he's killin it. Gailey (if he had it his way) wouldn't even play Spiller, and now look at C.J., he may actually start turning into something besides a gimmicky WR.
  5. Just an opinion/predicition of NFL head coaches who I think will be fired/resign once the season concludes. Thoughts? AFC --- Miami: Todd Bowles (REPLACED) New England: Bill Belichick (SAFE) N.Y. Jets: Rex Ryan (SAFE) Buffalo: Chan Gailey (SAFE) Baltimore: John Harbaugh (SAFE) Pittsburgh: Mike Tomlin (SAFE) Cincinnati: Marvin Lewis (WILL RESIGN) Cleveland: Pat Shurmer (SAFE) Indianapolis: Jim Caldwell (FIRED) Houston: Gary Kubiak (SAFE) Jacksonville: Mel Tucker (REPLACED) Tennessee: Mike Munchak (SAFE) Kansas City: Romeo Crenell (WILL BE RETAINED) Denver: John Fox (SAFE) Oakland: Hue Jackson (SAFE) San Diego: Norv Turner (FIRED) NFC --- Dallas: Jason Garrett (SAFE) N.Y. Giants: Tom Coughlin (FIRED) Philadelphia: Andy Reid (FIRED) Washington: Mike Shannahan (WILL RESIGN) Chicago: Lovie Smith (FIRED) Minnesota: Leslie Frazier (FIRED) Detroit: Jim Schwartz (SAFE) Green Bay: Mike McCarthy (SAFE) Atlanta: Mike Smith (SAFE) New Orleans: Sean Payton (SAFE) Carolina: Ron Rivera (SAFE) Tampa Bay: Raheem Morris (FIRED) St. Louis: Steve Spagnoula (FIRED) San Francisco: Jim Harbaugh (SAFE) Seattle: Pete Carrol (SAFE) Arizona: Ken Whisenhunt (SAFE) Thoughts: Miami and San Diego are no brainers as the Dolphins are gonna be a very attrative landing spot, and will gun hard to land former Steelers' Head Coach Bill Cowher. If Cowher does return, I could see him landing in either Miami or San Diego. Norv Turner is a sitting duck no matter if the Chargers make the playoffs or not. The only way his job is safe is if San Diego wins it all, but there not even gonna get in the playoffs in my opinion. Leslie Frazier's time in Minnesota will be up as well. This couldn't have been what the Viking front-office expected when he and McNabb were brought in to resurrect the offense. McNabb is now unemployed and the franchise need a fresh start with a new coach for rookie QB Christian Ponder. Look for an offensive coordinator to get that job. Raheem Morris appears to be done in Tampa. I really thought the Bucs would fire him midseason, but it didn't happen. This franchise appeared at one point to be on the rise until midseason. The Eagles are still a longshot to make the playoffs, and, if by some miracle they do get in, Andy Reid finds himself in pretty much the same boat as Norville in San Diego. He'll have to win it all to be retained. Anything else will almost surely result in Reid being either fired or asked to resign. There were monumental expectations in Philly this year that were nearly impossible for Reid to live up to. A fresh start is desparately needed there from both sides, and it wouldn't surprise me at all if Andy Reid pulled a "Cowher" and took some time off to recharge his batteries. Reid is the current longest tenured head coach in the NFL and, as we all know, coaching in that city has to take its toll. "Fire Andy" chants started long before the "Dream Team" was ever essembled there. As for Jim Caldwell in Indianapolis, its only been two years since he and the Colts appeared in the SuperBowl. The Colts have been a perrenial playoff team year after year. When Peyton Manning's neck issues arose, it was Caldwell's job to insure that the rest of the team kept focus. That, needless to say, hasn't happened. In fact, its now proven that without Peyton, Indy is one of the worst teams in the NFL. You always here about how "one man doesn't make a team", Peyton Manning has officially killed that quote single-handedly. Caldwell surely doesn't deserve the complete blame of everything, but he will almost undoubtedly take the fall for this nightmarish season in Indianapolis. Add the possibility of the Colts drafing Andrew Luck with the 1st pick, and Bill Polian will want a fresh start with a new QB, even if Manning does decide to put his ego aside and groom Luck, look for a new head coach there. As for our Bills, its looking more and more like 5-11 is going to be the record, given that "Tebow-mania" will be RUNNING wild at the Ralph this Saturday, and the annual guaranteed "L" in New England in week 17. That would result in a 9 game losing streak after a 5-2 start. Almost ANY other coach in the NFL would be history. I have mixed emotions about whether a coaching change should be made, there's absolutley no excuse to let things like this happen if you're a good NFL coach. I like Coach Gailey, but he's lost this team. However, a change here would most likely set the franchise back 3-5 more years. Look for George Edwards to be fired almost immediately after the season. However, if Gailey refuses to fire Edwards, one of his closest friends, then things could get interesting at One Bills Drive. Otherwise, look for the message of "continuity" to be shoved down our throats yet again.
  6. I'm very sorry, I agree with everything except for the "No Changes" thing. At the very least, George Edwards need to be canned. He is officially the WORST Defensive Coordiator EVER in the history of any league at any level. H O R R I B L E
  7. ...in trying to talk myself into coming back as a fan of this team next season. I've been a diehard fan since 1988. I've seen a lot of good, but over the course of the last 12 years, seen way more bad. I even promised a boycott for the final three games this year, but I caved and turned the game on today. And guess what happened?...well, you know what happened. If I was the owner of this team, or the GM, I'd really have to put myself in the fans' shoes. What reason do I/we give the great, loyal fan base of the Buffalo Bills to come back next year? Its been 12 years since we've been in the playoffs. We've had one winning season in that span. How in the world do we even get half of the people in the seats at the stadium? Is it REALLY this difficult to build a winner? To get competent and relavant football minds to run this team? To actually sign people who can play and, or more importantly WANT to play here? To actually HIT on a single draft pick? Guys, this is ridiculous. I know, I know, I'm beating the already perverbial "dead horse" here. But year after year of watching meaningless football into December is wearing on this particular, loyal Bills fan. This year really felt different. Do we really deserve this? Haven't we been through enough? Wide Right...Four Superbowl losses, the Music City Miracle, and now, 12 years and counting without a playoff berth. We've given so much passion, loyalty and committment to a team that year in and year out gives us virtually nothing in return... And I just don't know if I can do it again...
  8. It will be record setting. But then again, who doesn't set records against the 'ills.
  9. Because the coaching staff is a bunch of Douchebags who don't give enough opportunities to people. (See Aaron Maybin and what he is doing this year)
  10. Just trying to get some opinions out there from fellow Bills sufferers...ERRRR..fans. I know that coaches (especially here) are usually given a three year window to produce reasonable success. And, while we finished 4-12 last year and likely will finish 5-11 this year, its hardly the "improvement" we were looking for, especially given the 5-2 start we had this year. Anyway, the question is, if this team does in fact finish losing 9 consecutive games, is Chan Gailey out in Buffalo? I personally don't believe it will happen, but losing 9 straight after starting so well is inexcusable.
  11. I've been a diehard fan since 1987, but after Fitz threw that awful INT in the third quarter in San Diego yesterday, I did something I thought I'd never do. I walked away from the Buffalo Bills. I turned the game off and turned on some Adam Sandler flick (which made me laugh, but in a good way). My biggest problem yesterday was the fact that I knew exactly what was going to happen in that game. I called it: San Diego would get the ball first, go right down the field against this poor-excuse-for-a-defense, and go up 7 right off the bat. I even called Buffalo's first possession-three and out. I was right on that one as well. I called for a blowout Charger victory yesterday-and I was right also. So was I surprised by what happend yesterday? Obviously not. The majority of my frustration stems from the fact that I just wanted this team to prove me wrong. To show some guts, some fire. Did I expect them to pull one out in San Diego, no. But you know what? Prove me wrong. Did I expect the Bills to show up in any way and look like a team that had any desire to win in So Cal? No...BUT PROVE ME WRONG! Look at Miami. Started 0-7, yet they show up week-after-week and give everybody a game. They make every team they line up against them and earn everything. A team that was virutally out of playoff contention even before it saw its first win will play the Bills Sunday at Ralph Wilson Stadium, and will outclass the Bills yet again. This isn't sheer pessimism, its a fact. Miami has heart, Miami probably start a QB on Sunday that the Bills know all too well, J.P. Losman, and the dreadful Bills defense will make THIS Bills outcast look like Aaron Rodgers, just as the Bills offensive line made Aaron Maybin look like Bruce Smith...Prove me wrong. The following week, the Bills defense will make Tim Tebow look like the second coming of Steve Young...Prove me wrong. To finish things up in this nightmare of a tailspin of a season, Buffalo will travel to Foxborough, where they haven't won in...well, forever, and Brady will look like Brady (if he plays), or Ryan Mallet and/or Brian Hoyer will look like...well, Tom Brady. Prove me wrong... But the thing is, even if you DO prove me wrong, sorry Bills, but I won't be watching the remaining three games this season. I've watched my final play this season as a Bills fan. I've watched for the last time this year, Ryan Fitzpatrick walk back to the bench with this awesome, completely lost, deer-in-the-headlights look on his face and his ho-hum look afterwards, knowing he's still getting paid for his aweful play. I've watched, for the last time this year the following: Stevie Johnson celebrating a catch when his team is three scores down, an underachieving defense coached by who is probably the worst defesive coordinator ever, and, who by the way, if the Bills wish to sell significant amounts of season tickets next season, had better be fired immediately following the season. A running back who Buddy Nix felt had to be selected like he was stealing something with the 9th pick in the draft, obtain 1.9 yds per carry. See you next year...
  12. Its almost like watching a rerun of his last six post-game pressers. Wishes he had the answers and they're not playing good enough. REAL REVELATIONS!
  13. Do you see some of the names you type on this subject? This is the reason Buffalo is a freakin' joke! Hagan, Onobun, Lee Smith (not the St. Louis Cardinals closer, btw). This team SUCKS!
  14. Sure he will be successful, right after Chan and Co. cut him and Rex Ryan signs him and "suddenly" he turns into a beast, just like a certain other castoff...
  15. In the midst of yet another dismal season, I'm trying to detract myself from the abyssmal Bills season and have some fun with a topic that alot of Bills fans have fun with. COMMENTATORS. Heres my TOP 5 and my five WORST. How about yours?... TOP 5 (Best) ____________ 1. Joe Buck 2. Al Michaels 3. Gregg Gumble 4. Kevin Harlan 5. Ian Eagle TOP 5 (Worst) _____________ 1. Dan Dierdorf 2. Jim Nantz 3. Ron Jaworski 4. Randy Cross 5. Mike Torico
  16. Every single player, coach and front office person should be directly behind Edwards in the unemployment line, as far as I'm concerned...
  17. ...and maybe have shut the Bills off for the rest of my life. I've been the most loyal fan of this team since 1987, but I just can not do this to myself anymore. I've put so much faith into a franchise that apparently doesn't care anymore about success. Mind you, this is the first time in my life as a Bills fan that I've shut the game off and "walked away" from the Bills. But, its just too much. Its too frustrating. I can't watch this team the rest of the year. And, until Ralph either passes on or sells the team, or something dramatic comes about, I'm done. Criticize me if you will, throw stones and harsh "quitter" comments at me, but if you are a loyal Bills fan, you know how I feel. Thanks for nothing again, guys...
  18. Boy, you can tell that its December. Bills are out of the playoff picture, and here we go with the embarrassing nastalgic crap. Hey dude, do you think that Detroit is still talking about Barry Sanders? NO. Do you think San Francisco is still talking about Steve Young/Joe Montana? NO. Do you think Green Bay is still talking about Brett Favre? Don't even answer that one. I'll re-interate: The Buffalo Bills are so bad that year after year, fans have to resort (at this time, EVERY YEAR) to talking about the "glory days of the early 90s". Doesn't that make you sick and embarrassed to have to talk about this again this year? I was as big a fan as anybody of those teams. But its not 1990 anymore! Its freakin' 2011, for gods sake! And this team STILL can not produce a winner? PATHETIC!
  19. Yeah, you are the sole reason the Bills have been the joke of the league for 12 years (and counting).
  20. Well now all of our problems have been solved. Sounds like an anal ointment perscription. :/ (FAIL...AGAIN)
  21. Not when we will be switching to a 4-3 when d-bag George Edwards is fired and the 'Stache is promoted.
