  1. Does it really matter who said it first? What matters is the point of what I said, which is a veteran player should tell Johnson to cut down on the theatrics before he costs the team again.
  2. not into the draft sites too much but draftnasty is linked to Corey Chavous who seemed VERY intelligent about the draft during the spots I saw him in last year.
  3. My biggest issue with Johnson is his need for theatrics when he thinks he made a good play. He's already cost his team in other games because of it, and a veteran player or coach sholud pull him aside and address it. JOhnson is a 3rd year WR in the NFL who hasn't accomplished much. Like Levy used to say, and I'm paraphrasing here, it's the endzone, act like you've been there before.
  4. Queastion, since they reviewed the play shouldn't buffalo get the TO back
  5. Then you know he got nailed for the holding, which he was walking around like "who me?" afterward. But then after making a catch he gets tackled and come up half crouching & wiggling his fingers at Baltimore mocking them. He needs to knock it off and just play ball.
  6. Call me a killjoy, but Stevie Johnson needs to stop with his bull ****. He's already cost in games, stop stop the stupid theatrics and actually ACCOMPLISH something, then you can act stupid.
  7. Willy looked alright. Wonder how much is Fassel trying to "protect" him with simple throws and such. On the flip side here's a former Bill on the Locos in Lauvale Sape at DT.
  8. From Monday Brought this up monday, thanks for the revisit
  9. Actually there have been more than a "small handful" of UDFA that have found success, the poster just picked several former Bills to prove his point. He forgot Jabari Greer though. There's UDFA that have become superstars in this league as well as more than servicable starters. Just like there are top round draft picks that crap out every year. To judge a guys talent and desire and ability to play the game on where they were drafted is foolish. otherwise Mike Williams would still be in Buffalo getting paid and Jason Peters would be bagging groceries with Kurt Warner.
  10. I'd be more impressed if I didn't know the Titans were 26th in Pass Defense......almost a pick....and the pick
  11. Way I read it was he pulled on a door to a closed pizza place and set off an alarm. Then when the police showed up he refused a breathalyzer and was charged. If I remember right it was $195 dollar fine mentioned. So to me, not a really big deal. he wasn't brawling with cops (Whitner), hitting a pedestrian (Lynch), or even mouthing off to the cops (I'm Ko Simpson and I'm worth millions). In the hierarchy of what some players have done, it ranks pretty low, from what I heard mind you. I guess the key would be how he recovered from the broken fibula. He might of been still recovering and the Jets tried to stash him but decided they needed depth in another area or he wasn't healing fast enough.
  12. News Wondering what anybody (maybe you draft guys) know about this guy. Former 3rd pick, broke his fibula (probably similar to Wood) last year. Like what I've dug up, yes i know it's PS but So was Wrotto. Maybe nothing this year but potential for next. Maybe someone with a "skins fan friend can find out more from there. Potential sounds good, but...... Draft Profile
  13. Yeah because they did that once and ended up with Mike Williams. There's a reason you rank players, and a reason they didn't go T at 9. Because the 2 guys they felt were worthy of the pick were GONE. So why take the third best T (Davis who's playing RT for San Fran)or 4 best (Bugala who's a back-up). You reach for guys and you end up with the same sorry picks like Maybin and Whitner that have plagued this team. In the top half of the first you should be picking impact players, guys who will come in and play opening day their first year. In all honesty they should of gotten a solid veteran T in FA, and no that doesn't include Cornell Green (still trying to figure out why he's not cut yet even the UDFA are outplaying him) And he mentioned Williams and started the whoa is me crap, which to me implies he thought the Bills should of drafted someone who was gone by the time the Bills picked.
  14. Yeah, just one small thing. Williams was drafted at 4, five spots before the Bills were even on the board. But never let the facts get in the way
  15. I think at times these supposed "offensive geniuses" get to caught up in that mantle and think they have to get overly clever and get away from basic football trying to prove their genius. They forget the best way to prove people right is to put up a W on Sunday. Take last week for instance, while listening to the game Kelso was a Revelation. He was basically questioning offensive calls, saying they were running most of the times on first and needed to mix it up to throw the D off and basically shredding the defense on how frequently players were out of position which allowed huge gains by Jax. The big issue seemed to be the LB playing too close to the LOS and allowing themselves to get occupied and the runner to easily go by into the secondary or because they were too close the TE easily getting by. I'm hopeing there was alot of basic positional drills last week for the D in practice to help with them knowing their assignments.
  16. Unfortunately I'm seeing Giants/Lions against a Pats/Ravens. So where are you guys catching Seattle, I'm in Buffalo.
  17. Not just because we play them next week, but he needs to watch and maybe even dig up some tape from Cam Cameron with the Chargers. I don't care how much of an offensive genius he's supposed to be with the return of Shawn Nelson at TE these are the types of offenses we need to run based of a single good player at TE, WR and RB. Foget about being clever, look at what's worked time and again. Go ahead flame away but just got done watching Balt hang a 7 minute opening drive on the Pats.
  18. What was the penalty on the REdskins (last year I believe) when they did back to back on the Bills. And they didn't give a TO back to Buffalo either. I figured that was what Belly-ache was complaining about butdon't really care, they had enough breaks given to them in just that game so I'll happily take this one.
  19. I wouldn't say it's panic mode, what I'd say is that what he saw in Edwards in camp and preseason hasn't translated to the regular season with more complex defenses and full speed games. We've seen it many times over the past few years here in Buffalo, a great workout/practice player but is complete crap during an actual game. That was practically a drafting philosophy the past few years, best athlete not best player. So now, Gailey has to weed out the athletes and find football players that don't disappear during games. Unfortunately with this roster and this culture of accepting losing he came into it isn't going to be a quick fix. Like I told my buddy, if they are showing improvement by the end of the season like they are learning and Gailey hasn't lost the team that's better than now.
  20. These 2 pretty much sum up my feelings on the subject. Look, we've had a conservative HC (Jauron) the past 4 years which isn't conducive to big numbers from WR, and last year they tried to force he ball to TO to keep his mouth shut. Does that mean Evans is a legit number one? No, but when you hear opposing coaches talk about how they double cover or bracket coverage to keep him under wraps, it sure makes it seem like the guy is good if they're that concerned about him. The other aspect is the guy throwing the ball. It doesn't matter what kind of protection Trent has, unless it's max and the only call he has is deep he won't throw it out there. Trent wants a wide open guy or he's too timid to take the risk. There were times these past 2 games he had a pocket and time and he took all of it until pressure got to him and then he checked down. He shies away from trying to force it in there. Not saying Brohm or Fitzy are the answer but I think either one of them could go in and the offense would look better, simply because both are willing to risk it.
  21. As someone else pointed out in that thread Shawn Merriman also has a construction company
  22. Is Mike Gandy still out there? I mean the guy sucked but I don't remember Kirk Chambers getting beat as bad as Green did. Heck, Meridith Looked better. It could be possible though that with Bell still on a partial playing time basis that Meredith is seeing reps at LT though.
  23. Best thing I've seen out of Spiller is that he keeps his head up and looking downfield for blocks and coverage. I remember in those highlights seeing him on a kick return and using the kicker as a pick for the guy chasing him from the backside, and in another he had a guy sneaking in behind him that almost had him right before a Spiller stiff arm and CJ sped away. That's what he's going to need at the NFL level, he's not a bruiser like Lynch so he's got to be elusive til he adds about 10-15 pounds.
  24. Don't forget about Shawn Nelson (the 4th). We'll have to see about Danny Batten (6th) next year after he recovers from injury. Figure 2 starters and at least a backup for an unmotivated guy and that's a good deal
  25. Actually they showed a stat last night during the replay, Something about how Buffalo was the only team to have 3 RBs over 4 yards a carry through the 3 preseaon games. Or something similiar, DVR didn't work otherwise I'd double check.
