  1. Well, when you're down to playing guys you signed 5 days ago and practice squadders, and reshuffling the line every week because your starters are out due to injury what do you expect????
  2. Gregg Williams 3 seasons w/ Buffalo - 3-13, 8-8, 6-10 for a total of 17-31= win % of .354 Mike Mularkey 2 seasons w/ Buffalo - 9-7, 5-11 for a total of 14-18= win % of .438 Dick Jauron 3 1/2 seasons w/ Buffalo - 7-9, 7-9, 7-9, 3-6 for a total of 24-33= win % 0f .421 So Mularkey was best, than Jauron, last is Williams. Conclusion: All three stink.
  3. Sorry I'm off the boat for bringing in another past glory guy. Levy screwed the pooch with his pick of Jauron, a guy with 1 winning season, and last I knew refused to admit it was a mistake. I want a proven football guy, with a track record of WINNING and with power to do what needs to be done.
  4. The sad part is there are actually people voting they approve of the job he's doing. Ralph must be home.
  5. ESPN coach Ranking Don't forget to Vote. While it really don't do anything other than vent, it's an outlet. Breathe.
  6. I think AVP is being severely hampered by what Jauron is allowing him to do or not do. I've seen different articles talking about how Jauron doesn't allow motion in his offense, how he wants a simplified offense. Fewer Formations, basic plays, etc. Then the OC change days before the opener. Add in the fact that you have a young O-line, WR dropping balls, and bad QB and I don't think the best OC on the planet could do anything with this. Unfortunately the easiest thing to do for some people is to point the finger at the OC and say it's all his fault, when it's not.
  7. Well, I remember reading in an article a few weeks back that the offese had no motion as DEMANDED by Dick Jauron. Jauron doesn't get offense in the modern NFL, or game play either, which has killed this franchise the past 4 years. That's the key problem. regardless of how good AVP maybe as an OC, Jauron is stifiling it by Dick's simplistic, moralistic outlook. I doubt any other coach in the NFL worries about keeping games close, hoping they can pull out a victory at the end. That's playing and coaching scared. Good coaches find ways to mask players deficiency making them look better than they are. Bad coaches make good players look bad. As Herm Edwards once said, "You play to win the game" and once you don't you need to retire. Jauron needs to do us all a favor and retire because he definitely isn't coaching/playing to win. As far as bad coaches go let's throw another one on the fire, Marty Mornhinweg. Matter of fact that'll be Ralph's next billiant idea. Move Brandon back to promotion and hire Matt Millen as GM, hey he learned from his mistakes in Detroit, right?
  8. Nope, he was available, picked 4 spots later at 15.
  9. Wondering if I can get some help from the stat guys here. Granted I know this doesn't take into consideration coverages but after watching TO drop more balls and Evans seemingly not even being in the game I'm wondering what the targeted/dropped ratio is for each player. I've been disgusted the past few weeks with the seeming lack of attempts to get Evans involved. To me it seems like they are too interested in forcing the ball to Owens than spreading the ball out to multiple options.
  10. Of course the emptied out pretty quick too towards the middle of the 4th
  11. Actually Cushing has been doing it all year. He was up for Rookie of the week last week with 9 tackles, 2 fumbles and an INT against Cincy. He's 10th in the NFL in tackles and as stated during the game he's the ONLY defensive player to have a saftey, forced fumble, sack and int. I'd much rather have him than Maybin Not to mention he's a STARTER on his team, not a backup.
  12. Did you actually watch the games TE played in, without the rose colored glasses on, I mean. TE was off target just as much if not MORE than Fitz was. Behind, high, too far, stared down the receiver; you name it Trent threw it. Anyone trying to make it out like Trent was this incredibly accurate passer needs their eyes checked. I keep hearing a Stat about how Fitz only completed about 45%, how much higher would that have been if the almighty Owens as well as a few other options had actually held onto or caught the ball? I lost track of the times i heard the announcers say you have to catch that. Lastly, as far as I'm concerned: some say Edwards, some say Fitzy, some say Hamdan. I say we need a REAL NFL QB.
  13. Actually I'd take Cribbs (Cleveland), Royal ( Denver) or Sproles(SD) before Parrish. Heck, I think I'd take Fred Jackson before Parrish.
  14. I'm surprised. Rumor had it that the Ravens had called inquiring about Galloway. Seeing as how the Patriots usually take advantage and stock up on picks I'd think they would have tried to get a low round pick out of Baltimore for him. But he'll be signed by Baltimore by the end of tomorrow.
  15. Penalty on the Raiders. 11 men and a pigeon on the field.
  16. First off, what's up with the name-calling? Does that mean I can call you stupid for bringing up 5 plus years when Fewell is only in his 4th year coaching the Bills D? Or the fact that Buffalo D was ranked 18 in 2006, 31 in 2007 (the year we had 17 plus season ending injuries), bounced back to 14 last year and despite injuries are hovering at 19. So that's 3 out of 4 years he's middle of the pack not "one of the worst" in the NFL. And maybe, if the offense wasn't so inept and could actual score and keep the D off the field to rest so they aren't sucking wind at the end of every game some of those big plays could be avoided. Or solid defensive efforts, such as last Sunday against Cleveland wouldn't be wasted. For the record, like I said previously, I think we're stuck with Jauron for the rest of the season, regardless of how poorly this team performs. However, hopefully that will lead Ralph to fire EVERYONE and bring in some solid football people and actually pay for a coach.
  17. Actually, the permanent position is what we're sub-discussing in relation to the Rooney Rule, that you have to interview a minority candidate. It only affects interim coaches if they're white, like the aforementioned Haslett/Rams situation. If you noticed, nobody batted an eye last year when the 49ers interviewed NOBODY and made Singletary their HC at the end of last season. Why? because it wasn't in violation of the Rooney rule since Singletary is black, if he were white you would of seen everybody and their brother start whining, even if they knew he was their guy, like in the Lions/Mariucci case. So in summation, if it's a minority interim HC and they want to hire full time they're fine, but if it's a Caucasian, even if they know he's their guy, they have to interview at least one minority candidate.
  18. Exactly, because Singletary was a minority the Rooney Rule was satisfied and they could hire without doing any interviews. Unlike the earlier situation I mentioned with Haslett and the Rams. Is it Reverse Racism because they didn't have to interview a Caucasian? Yes, but the NFL isn't worried about that, it's appeasing to minorities. Perfect scenario is the Lions hiring Marrucci a few years ago. Detroit knew who they wanted, as did everyone else. However, the NFL still fined them for NOT interviewing a minority candidate, despite the fact everyone knew it would just be to fill a quota.
  19. Actually, if he was good enough would Ralph be able to just keep him there and not interview? Remember, the Rooney Rule is so minority candidates get interviewed, so Ralph already beat them to the punch by hiring a minority, unlike the Rams/Haslett situation a few years back. But I agree with an earlier poster, we need a whole new staff with an angry intent that puts a team on the field that plays to win, isn't afraid of losing and puts points on the board in multiples of 7
  20. Okay, not saying this is going to happen, heck after Wilson's comments I think we're all stuck with Jauron and crew the rest of the season regardless of how bad it gets. But at lunch today a friend and I were talking and he was questioning why everyone thinks April will get the HC job IF Jauron gets the hook. Wanted to argue the point of a similar background to Mike Tomlin. Granted he made a mistake (confused Fewell with Grey interviewing for the HC spot when Mularkey left) but he brings up a valid point. For the record, neither of us have a thing to do with the Bills, this is just more of the same fans thinking out loud. Anyway here's the premise 1)Jauron gets the hook, probably bye week after a terrible home crowd at the Houston game. 2)Ralph interviews the 3 remaining coordinators to see who he'll promote to interm HC, possibly in an attempt to circumvent the Rooney Rule if he has spoken to another candidate 3)Decides Fewell is the best option and promotes him to interim HC, Bob Sanders to DC (a position He had in Green Bay) and bring in a new D-line coach The question I have is does anyone know how many years left do any of the coaches have on their contracts. If Fewell ( or for that matter April) are in the last year of a contract. Anyway, thought I'd put this out there and see what thoughts are.
  21. Actually from what I hear about the Whitner case, he was having a party there BEFORE the game and left, leaving "friends" there to close up and they helped themselves. You really cannot lump all Bills fans in with a few scumbags who took advantage of a friend.
  22. Here in Buffalo we had a guy that played multiple positions along the O-line eventually ending up and being an alright to good LT for us BEFORE signing a lucrative contract with San Fran. The big issue was his injury history. so here's the question: How would you react if the Bills brought back Jonas Jennings to help shore up the O-line. San Fran cut him on March 27, 2009 and he is not on a roster according to NFL.com. Yes it is a risk with his injury history, but.......
  23. Just got back in from taking out the trash. Let me get this right, Last week Jauron won't go on it in a fourth and 1, down by 10 but this week he goes onside down by 20? Does he realize he's not playing Madden?
  24. So what's your vote. Will wilson fire Jauron after the game, give him til the bye, or continue to make excuses and let him finish destroying this team for the full year. It's hard to win in the NFL.....especially if your head coach is a joke like Jauron.
