  1. The only time the interior really struggled was when Wood went down and they tried Levitre at C. When it was a Combination of Wood, Levitre, Urbik or even Rinehart the center of the line was Solid. The Depth was there at G, it was at LT that killed them (getting down to a third option in Levitre), so unless Steinbach can be a starting LT he's a luxury. Especially when you consider the fact he had back surgery to end his season last year.
  2. What is that, about 6.5 mil a year? Anybody else thinking Stevie might be regretting signing back on?
  3. Like you said, it's your Opinion. I think Levitre>Steinbach, and Urbik=Steinbach. I'll take a healthy, young Levitre/Wood/Urbik trio that played together and know each other every Sunday over moving one of them to the bench for Steinbach. Particularly after seeing his season was ended by a back injury last year My link
  4. Sure hope this is a joke/I know his name sarcasm. Best G on our team? Levitre was blowing things up early in the year before injuries had him shift to LT & C. Urbik was quite solid as well and a monster when pulling, something I question whether Steinbach could do. Rinehart added nice depth and looked good at swing showing he was coming back from the same broke leg injury Wood had. Right now Buffalo has 3 solid G with experience in the system all around 26 YO, add in Wood at C and that's a solid,YOUNG interior. Depending on cost maybe the swing/3rd tackle but best G on the team is a BIG reach IMO
  5. And Pouncey doesn't get on that list because of their decision of how many games that person must play to be included. ANd of course the writer of said article on such a high end site (cough) cannot be biased, especially the way he goes above and beyond kissing Mangold's butt
  6. This irrational belief you have that Mangold is some untouchable god at center for starters
  7. The best center in the league plays for Pittsburgh, Mangold is only the best in your delusional mind
  8. Mangold cannot hold Pouncey from Pittsburgh jock. And if you're right, the only way MAngold is going to stop Dareus is to hold him. He plays Dareus straight up and Sanchez will be picking himself up off the turf
  9. I'll take "I expect to win" over "it's hard to win in the nfl" everytime. Chan still has a bit of Jauron's leftover loser mentality to iron out but he's almost there.
  10. In the same idea of Pats D playing dirty, i was in the car at the beginning of the third and didn't see it, but Kelso was going apes-hit over either Mayo or Spikes diving into a pile helmet first with a ref right there, basically calling BS. He compared it to the Byrd call, saying if you want to protect players fine, but the calls have to go both ways. Murphy also chimed in about Buffalo's first half penalties and how some were questionable. Granted it's not just the Pats, you have cheap shot artists all over, but it just seems like you see it more out of the Pats every week.
  11. Just finished up watching the Miracle and while I thought the whole movie was good, the final locker room speech given by Russell to the team is something I hope Gailey expresses to the team before Sunday. Found a clip of it, just replace hockey with football and Patriots for soviets. Also including one on how to beat said team in a film session. And the last thought comes from Pursuit of Happiness and goes to all those people saying Buffalo cannot beat the Patriots Sunday:
  12. Here's the thing, you acknowledged in your first post the kick was blocked but still wanted to make an issue out of it. That's not a fair assessment of Lindell. If anything take issue with the guys in front of Lindell that are supposed to be blocking for him, most of the time when Lindell gets a clean kick its points on the board.
  13. This, Lindell has been on of the most consistent kickers the past few years. Why the hate?
  14. Agree, IR Parrish, cut Martin and bring up BOTH Roosevelt and Aiken from the PS. Roosevelt fits the shifty underneath role that Parrish has (granted minus some speed) and After watching Martin drop several balls today I'd rather have Aiken in there getting some playing time at the big boy table.
  15. I believe after a few times last year Stevie called it "the Buffalo Bounce"
  16. For those wondering where Irvin said it, find it HERE, but you have to skip all the way to the end, it comes as the 2 are wrapping the segment. Start at about 3:30. As far as my feelings Irvin needs to STFU.
  17. Did you bother to look at the play? Jackson had cut the ball up field and was emerging from the pile headed towards the end zone at best 10 yards from the Johnson hit, so your "20 yards away from the play is bull". Take a look at some video and you can see Jackson emerging from the pile at the 10 and Johnson making the hit at the 4. Johnson doesn't make the hit it stands a better than average chance Berry makes it over and contributes to stopping Jackson from putting the ball in the end zone. It's a solid, legitimate hit by Johnson. Next, check out Berry, he pulls up so he either sees Johnson coming or realizes he's about to be hit. Next you can tell Berry's RIGHT foot is planted, not his left one that Stevie hit, and it appears more Johnson's shoulder pad hits the back of Berry's leg. It's pretty hypocritical that you're saying certain uses that could still cause injury are okay, but this one that is more than likely used every game, every Sunday is different. You want to say the cut block should be eliminated from the game, fine. But you cannot play pick and chose about when you feel the play is okay. And I think you're completely wrong about his teammates having less respect for him. Football is a contact sport and the cut block is a legal hit as employed by Johnson who was trying to help his team win. Is the injury a tragedy, sure. BUT the players know you can can get hurt, you didn't hear Wood whining when someone rolled up the back of his leg breaking it 2 years ago. Injuries, whether you like them or not are a part of the game. You must not have watched many games then if you never saw Harrison do some dirty ****. When as a player you're voted the dirtiest by your peers, as Harrison was(multiple years-2004, 2006, & 2008), that speaks volumes to me.
  18. No, it wasn't. While not the manliest of blocks the cut block is taught and used by EVERY team in the NFL, as seen in the above clip. Heck, the Chiefs probably used them at some point in the game against Buffalo, don't have the game so I cannot go back and check. It was a completely LEGAL block in the way Johnson used it. The only way it becomes illegal is if Berry was engaged with someone and Johnson did that. As it has been pointed out MANY times, the only reason this is an issue is because of the injury. Watch the game this week against Oakland and you'll more than likely see this type of block by BOTH teams multiple times.
  19. Don't let Chan read that, Stevie was a HS QB. Chan will be putting him in the wildcat. Or the double reverse homerun throwback LOL
  20. I just get a kick out of how most of this articles reference Johnson's hit and go video here, and then link to the same crappy gif done by a Chief's fan. That's like the 2 separate 3 second clips posted on youtube about it, once again by a Chiefs fan. The first one you barely see the hit at the very top of the screen, but what you can tell is that Jackson is cutting the ball back up towards that area, so if Johnson hadn't done anything about Berry he would of gotten chewed out because Berry (or the closing LB) would of made the play. Johnson handled his responsibility. The second one it's more in frame, but still in the upper right corner. But in this one, the clearest view of it(wondering why this isn't what the articles link to) you can see Jackson emerging from the pile looking at the end zone. You can also clearly see the hit and to me it looks more like his shoulder pad makes contact more on Berry's calf. It's just the camera angle that actually makes it look worse. the other thing that makes it look bad is that AFTER Stevie starts the cut block Berry starts to pull up so Stevie actually overshoots him. All the articles going to that crappy gif just serve to the point of trying to make Johnson look bad and create controversy.
  21. All I know is that makes it 2 sites that put him in the 4.4 range so that's good for me. Wasn't using them as the end all, just the only site I had on tap. Would love to know what Brad Smith's 40 is though, had a buddy that's a Jet fan told me the guy could fly. Or maybe it was take a flying leap....I was tired at the time LOL
  22. How about you address the point rather than make swarmy comments. That being without Lee we have no speed at the WR position. Both of the players mentioned (Parrish & Spiller) have speed and can make teams pay for jamming the line & playing shallow. And before you talk about that 3rd string back, hasn't Gailey put BOTH Jackson and Spiller on the field at the same time (that would be yes) and hasn't Spiller lined up or motioned to WR (that would be yes again). As far as that WR on IR goes, all that was brought up was that he too had 4.4 speed and could stretch the field when playing. Some of you with this Lee is God and cannot be replaced attitude really need to stop.
  23. Took the number direct for his Billsdaily draft capsule - http://www.billsdaily.com/draft/2010/ Check out #4, not arguing he could be faster but this puts it in print Who compared them? Inital response was to someone stating the Bills had nothing but slow WRs, to which I responded they still had some speed, and was told Easley was faster than I gave him credit for. Nobody was comparing the 2. Need to work on that reading comprehension.
  24. Are you in the Bills front office? If not than it's hard to take your stance credibly. First off, Hangartner was CUT, not traded. Next, as stated Buffalo had just paid Lee a bonus before trading him (and this was after the lockout ended). If they were that concerned about salary wouldn't it make sense to trade him before paying the bonus. MAybe, granted it doesn't fit into your conspiracy theory, the deal was just what Nix stated. The Bills really like their young WRs and with Evans being at the tail end of his career and contract they decided to get something for him before the got nothing?
  25. While I agree it'll take time to see if Buffalo stays effective, if your Gailey/KC hypothesis is to be taken seriously explain last year when the Bills struggled mightily against them before losing in OT. If you honestly don't think Haley changed things up I've got some ocean front property in Minnesota for sale. That was one of the key reasons for Haley giving Chan the axe, so he could implement his offensive game plan.
