  1. He should have gotten hammered and killed someone with his SUV. He'd be a free man by now
  2. Brown over Byrd IS talent over need, according to all pre-draft mocks.
  3. He was involved in the finance part I think not actually handing drugs off from one guy to another. Sad, stupid guy. Breeder, for certain. but 3 years seems ok to me.
  4. It always seemed to me (not being as football savvy as many of the posters) that these were 5 huge guys and other than the center being a snapper, could be basically interchangeable. Can someone break down what specifically is needed physically for all five positions on the line?
  5. Wish we could land a guy like Polian some day. Oh, wait a minute, we had him....
  6. No evidence of this at all. 7-9 or better, DJ stays until end of his contract extension.
  7. You are right, bring him in, we have the right coaches to nurture a performance out of this guy.
  8. http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d8...mp;confirm=true If he can get healthy maybe some camp competition?
  9. Cool. I wonder if he comes back south of the border in a few years when he is seasoned.
  10. No publicity is bad publicity is the axiom. I guess Ross agrees with it.
  11. I would not call Wade a flop as a head coach. He did well here and averywhere else for a few seasons. Would much rather have Wade back than DJ. The rest of those guys....no
  12. That is actiual;ly bad news; if we are first to report by a full 6 days, imagine how many days off DJ will give the team as a "reward" for hard work (aren't these guys getting paid to be there, isn't that the reward?)? We will have a big gap between training camp and preseason. Reward time for Chris Kelsay, he put the pads on and ran around like crazy, and his locker room prowess is legendary. He doesn't need more practice...
  13. Come on, Byrd is sure to be that player! Thats why we drafted him over brown and in preference to a first rounder in 2010. If not Byrd, surely Ellis Lankster???
  14. Gabels...yeah. Checkers CPBG Even the Pink Flamingo had its day in the (fleeting) sun
  15. What makes you think that this year DJ and staff will have learned to change up what they do? More likely, the rookie/out of natural position Oline lets TE get rocked and injured, then we are back to the most basic offense possible "to protect" Fitz and "helpo" him get into the offense. All these many scenarios are really great... until it comes back to basics. DJ is horrible. He cannot lead us anywhere.
  16. I miss seeing the band TALAS play at Cassidys the bass guy was great. Billy sheenan I think was his name. Those were great days in Buffalo, mid-late 70's early 80's. Havent lived in Buff since '86 but those are memories you can't replicate. I remember also when they finally razed Cassidys,. there was a rat problem in the neighborhood for like 2 years that place was vermin infested to the nth degree. Good cheap pitchers of Blue made it all worth it.
  17. Who remembers "Canadian money accepted at par" nights at Cassidy's corner of Main and Amherst?
  18. Harsh words Hadn't given that thought a lot of credence. You think his contract makes him untradeable? I would think there would be something out there for Donte we wouldn't have to straight cut him. Anyway, he makes the team for sure the FO would have to eat too much crow to cut him this year.
  19. The past two defensive line coaches for the Bills were known as yellers. Tim Krumrie and Bill Kollar were highly vocal coaches that tried to get the most out of their players by preaching effort more than x’s and o’s. Buffalo’s new defensive line coach Bob Sanders has a bit of a different approach. He’ll raise his voice when it’s warranted, but his philosophy is strong technique skills win the battles in the trenches and get results. “What I’ve learned from many years in the profession is to just be myself,” said Sanders. “I bring enthusiasm and passion and excitement, but I’ve got to be myself because that gives us the best opportunity to be successful.” And Sanders track record shows he’s got a proven formula. A defensive line coach for about half of his 30-year coaching career, Sanders has helped to maximize the talents of quite a few players in his time. Some of the more notable examples are still playing in the league now. Green Bay defensive end Aaron Kampman was a high-motor, effort player not unlike some of Buffalo’s current ends. But what Sanders did was maximize Kampman’s talent with his effort and helped turn him into a two-time Pro Bowl pass rusher. Though Sanders was promoted to defensive coordinator for the 2006 season with Green Bay, he still was heavily involved in helping Kampman and the rest of the Packers defensive line succeed. Kampman’s sacks went from a previous career high of 6.5 in 2005 to an NFC leading 15.5 in 2006, as well as a career best 113 tackles. A Pro Bowl nod followed. “Bob Sanders is a good coach and more importantly a good man,” said Kampman. “I learned from him as both my position coach and my coordinator. He will be a great asset for Buffalo.” I am sick of "good man" coaches like DJ. Give me Bellicheat and a winner, I'll get over his not being such a good man.
  20. knowing our team and their penchant for Dave and Busters and Chuck e Cheese, pizza time may well be the way to get through to them!
  21. Mcnair and his "child whore" who was a plenty old 20-year old that grew up in Florida, not Iowa or even Buffalo, had something the other wanted. Supply and demand, capitalism in true form. Sadly for Mcnairs wife, it could not have made her life easy or pleasant. But, I venture to think she had a pretty good life, too, even if her husband was a banshee. Now, maybe her life is even better. But McNair "took care of his kids" from all accounts. He just had a lust that he could afford, and could not control. Life.
  22. I did not see Joel Bell get picked up yet maybe I missed it. But, what is the communication between teams like? Do thes other teams call the Bills and vice-versa and ask about guys? How do players that were signed and cut by another team suddenly sometimes turn up on our practice squad while guys we had in training camp are cut and gone? I always wondered how much teams communicate can anyone shed light on this? Did the Bills tell other teams that Bell was not up to it?
  23. Maybin hopefully too... because the alternative, more Denney/Kelsay and Shobel on the ends, is tough to stomach. These guys have shown us their best... and it ain't that great. Of course, one other potential Bills starter, Brown, will be starting... for another team. Nelson I like his chances too; we really don't have good TE potential I think Shouman again has shown us his best, and Fine, well, still upm in the air but it would not surprise me if Nelson beat him out. What is scary is that the 2 rookies seem to be a lock on the starting O-line without showing anything at all yet. What if they are NOT the answer, who do we turn to then?
  24. JP was worse because he played for us. I loved Blackledge - he screwed up the cardinals or was it the chiefs (??) for years. From what I understand though, JP is a far more outstanding citizen so if you take into account they both played below expectations, I like JP better.
  25. I always liked Ko and I thought that Ko and Donte were going to be a safety tandem for the bills for years. I hope he comes back too, and really does earn, millions. Youboty can play but these injuries (and they are strange ones, too - plantar fascilitis in BOTH feet???) really hurt the team in that they keep a roster spot for him ferever while he does not play. My read is that Ko will be gone, and Youboty makes the team again if he is healthy. And Wilson against the odds, makes the team yet again as a safety. Ko should catch on with another team though, with a litle luck. He reminds me of Baker from a few years back - that guy started a few games for the Bills then was cut and I think is still kicking around the league somewhere.
