Let's be realistic, Byrd was not a need position guy for the bills, Brown was and is. Even in Maybin pans out, we are still stuck with either Kelsay or a rapidly aging Shobel on the other side. Jauron is an idiot, for that fact alone. Leaving alone the fact that Brown was much more sought after, or that another team traded next year's first for the remarkable opportunity they saw to get this talent WITH THE NEXT PICK. ie, WE could have had another #1 pick next year, or Brown, and we got.... Byrd, a guy that has never even played the position we drafted him to play. Ridiculous. But, by all means, keep the faith, maybe the bills will win 7 games again this year, ensuring Jaurons continued tenure, you can be happy.

I like Rhodes better he has some breakaway potential that I think Dunn lacks.
-
They drafted Byrd because Jauron is a straight up moron. Wow, the sting of that moment, it was exaclty like when we picked McGahee despite having a very strong Travis Henry, that year. I was so excited that Brown fell to us. Effing DJ, he is truly the moronic inferno.

Driving drunk invalidates almost all liability insurance I thought, is that not correct?

Nine Bills Who Could Have A "Breakout" Season

Why is Chris Brown dissing Kelsay??? -
Society elected the FLA DA. I assume that he speaks for society, so what society wanted, and got, was the best possible resolution for the victims family. It is not about what YOU want, it is about the family, and also, this IS waht society wants. Get off your high horses, if it happened to you, maybe you would choose this solution also.
-
If you think that the DA did not consult the family and learn what the families wishes were prior to making a plea deal, you are quitre naive

I hate to say it but flip Carruth and OJ. Carruth was dead sober and planned the attack on his pregnant girlfriend and HIS OWN unborn child carefully and in advance. OJ was coked up and in the heat of the moment.

He just looks so lost and shell-shocked in that picture. And his eyes, is he a serial killer???

If you were rich and you hit a construction worker, absolutely, free to go. LOL The guy went through the criminal justice system, he has 2 years house arrest, lifelong loss of license, etc. etc. Sorry, the Florida DA has more say than you. But I agree with the DA in taking into account, the future of the AFFECTED family (not your family), and, agreeing to go easy on the jail time in exchange for the family getting a payoff. I agree with it, so does the CRIMINAL justice system. I hope Stallworth does not do it again, though, thats for sure.

As noted, the main victim, is dead and not returning any time soon to the mortal plane. That leaves the still living victims, the family. Clearly, they prefer to not testify or pursue the issue, and equally clearly there was a quid pro quo in terms of financial settlement, which indiced this reluctance to pursue the matter. If this outcome was not possible, they have to go through years of expensive litigation to mtry and attach some of this guys wealth, which by then may be less as he cannot earn from prison and also has spent lots on his own lawyers defending himself. The Florida DA must have also been complicit in this arrangement and essentially agreed beforehand, with the families blessing, to go light on Stallworth. The entire situation saves taxpayer money, and strongly benefits the only LIVING victims in the case. Again, satisfactory resolution.
-
If they get a Dr's prescription, in Cali, I have no problem with it. Maybe they have trouble sleeping sometimes, after all.
-
Victims rights trumping that. I have no problem with the resolution.
-
What is done is done. The man is dead and not coming back. So the only question is what is the best resolution for the family. If they preferred a payoff, pay for the house and college education, to the man getting the max hammering the law would allow, then that is the legacy they want from their dead loved one. Their best interests are the only ones that matter IMO. Stallworth is lucky that he could afford to make that happen, yes.

Seems that the Bills have a good record of spotting undrafted players. Leonhard, Peters, Rashard Baker, last years starting safety Greer, etc. Maybe, Bell really showed he was missing something NFL worthy. Giving the FO benefit of the doubt, lets hope retrospect in a couple years bears me out.

Anyone have some video of this sack?

Prediction: Joel Bell will have a new job already tomorrow and stick to that new teams PS I wtill believe Demetrious Bell may have a better career due to his pedigree, but, it is a crapshoot. THis cut seems pre-mature. Smart and big and fast. Why can't he be coached up a little. Oh yeah, we have sh**ty coaches. Likely the best thing that could have happened to Joel, now he has a chance to get some real coaching somewhere else.

Kelsay and Florence will get cut Pittsburgh will repeat - they have a qb and a coach. -
Sad testament on the 2006 draft
-
Why draft Everette Brown when you can get a Joel Bell for free??? Would be great if Byrd stars right away; more likely not though since he has to learn a position he has never played. And due to that strange graduation rule, he is already behind in that process.

Could SB victory keep Bills in Buffalo?
zazie replied to offde-fence's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When Coca-cola and Google move their corporate headquarters to Buffalo, the future is assured. Otherwise, nothing will keep the bills in Buffalo. Sadly. -
THe time to jetison Reed was about 3-4 years ago when he propped lots of passes and was not that good generally. Although even then a great blocker. The point is we stuck with him through an unusually long gestation period to let him go now when he is actually really good finally, drops nothing, etc., would not be smart. His best 2-3 years lie directly ahead why should we spend SO many years in development then give away the prize when it finally arrives?

Hmm, they don't want you in there for 3 hours plus, spending less than $15 bucks, in NYC, on a crowded crowded day. Rat Bastards.
