A good test of DJs coaching will be seeing how JP progresses in Vegas with Jim Fassel coaching him. If he does well, and gets back to the NFL and has even a moderately successful career from here, that will say plenty about DJs coaching ability or lack thereof. IF he still sucks, then, I guess he just sucks and maybe DJ just had the bad luck to be saddled with an unable 1st round QB for several years. And a weak armed injury-prone 3rd round QB thereafter. Somehow, call me crazy, I think JP will step up and be back in the league 2010 and do well. Fassel will coach him up and he will respond. I certainly wish that for him he is a good person and still supports Buffalo by living downtown to this day. Hopefully TE will be able to do well this year for us (despite DJ) too.

Last year at this time there was a lot of optimism about the "changed attitude" also. Especially after Dontes playoff prediction. Lets see if the attitude is still good around week 10 or so of the season. I hope so, because then it actually means something.

The world population skyrockets. It is odd that ANY city is dying actually. IMO Buffalo will recover as the world runs out of fresh water. But that may take awhile and if the can lessen the cost of water desalinization, that time may never come. Maybe it is lucky for those who stay, less population is certainly something many other cities badly need.

This is the guy that I think will put the feather in the cap of Jauronic. He will be solid to pro-bowl IMO. Maybin will be solid too I hope. Byrd, hoping for the best not convinced though.

For me this draft hinges on Byrd. If the reach pick turns out good, I think Maybin performs and the Oline additions were clearly called for. So if Byrd is all they seem to think he is, it can be a really good draft.

The knock on Brees his first couple seasons was not weak arm as much as too short. Never heard he had a weak arm rep until now.

This and 4th WR seem to be the spots where we have a plethora of good choices. More worried about DE, Safeties, tackles, etc. etc. ad nauseum.

I have never been such an advoicate of huge sentances for drug offences. Although coke is a lot worse than weed, true, no comparison. But drugs are ALWAYS taken by volunteers, and are in demand. Just think prisons should be less full of drug offenders and more with thieves and murderers, or, better, have some empty cells.
