Not the worst thing that could have happened to him; he was not cut in pre-season which I think is increasingly likely for Mr. Drayton. I remember watching Drayton in a couple San Diego games where he was penalized and burned and thinking "glad that guy is not a Bill". Now he is, he better just be quiet and try to get a job. Was he that bad? I keep hearing allusions to the fact that he got completely burned on at least one occasion but was his performance consistantly poor? Would be nice to get some further details on that from someone who was there.

I had the same question in my mind when I read that "he is getting the vast majority of the snaps". Maybe they should at least split the snaps somewhat? But who am I, Dickie knows what he is doing

It is going to be depressing (but true to DJ form) if Maybin and Byrd both disappoint, and Everette Brown is as good as I think he will be. Brown, remember, played agaisnt tough SEC competition at Fl. State.... Keeping the head up though for now!

Everyone on this board and everywhere says it takes a year or 2 for DEs to come into their own in the NFL. I hope Gholston DOES suck (he is a Jet) but I am not quite ready to pronounce it so yet. Maybin will be a super pick and garner 3-5 sacks this year situational and an INT (in my hopeful preseason opinion)

Gholston gets a ton of bad press but in reality he was a rookie last year. I think it is a little early to write off either of these players, no?

Brandon went to St. John Fisher for a BA, not Wharton for an MBA (like the agents in general); he is overmatched as always. You go to St. John Fisher when you can't get into UB; no offense meant its just true ask a college advisor at a high school. The agents have the upper hand; he must wait to see what the guy below gets because then he can gauge the price based on what some other GM (who is likely quite smart) paid, and know he is not getting suckered. It is likely HIM, not Maybins agent, that wants to see what #10 got and #12 got before his version of "negotiation". It is a very sad state of affairs our guy is just a babe in the woods without the bread crumb trail.

Now one a days including 7 night sessions which, let's face it, are purely for the fans. Don't mind it, but I have the idea that daytime sessions are more intense and more apt to whip guys into game shape. But that sun, DJ can't stand it. He can skip the hat that way. But hey, DJ is a great guy. And Kelsay is the best locker room guy ever. And, dammit, its hard to win games in the NFL. Let's hope the players can self-motivate.

i have very mixed feeleings about this year. I really want the bills to win 10 or more games... even though that means more DJ If they can't win 10 games or more, I am hoping for a dismal season so we can show the Jauronic inferno the door. Thats kind of my point, the fans are in general Buffalo expats out there. Packers, Steelers and some others have many many fans theat were born in all parts of the country much more than Buffalo does.

I really think we need to embrace even 2 Toronto games per year if we are to keep the Bills viable in WNY for the longer term. I know it seems wrong (and sad) but the financial reality is there. After all, how many $80 dollar jerseys can Buffalo absorb, not to mention selling box seats and the stadium as a whole? And the bills are not a 'storied' franchise a la the Packers where fans from allover are buying their stuff and making special trips to see their games; by anjd large most Bills fans have their roots in the Buffalo area. I like the Toronto game and hope they expand a little on it (not too much) in order to cultivate these free spending canucks.
