You're right. Black guys have the right to work in 7-11, but not to EVERY job, is that your theory. Yes, he has the equal right to EVERY job he may be qualified for.

I am at a loss to convey the meaning of the ERA to the posters here. Vick would absolutely have standing if the Patriots say they want to hire him and some unelected "official" bars him from that, after a REAL judge has meted out and he has served his real sentence. The owners also have no standing to bar someone from a job. Again, slippery slope, first bar this guy because he killed dogs, then that guy because his mother speaks only Russian. Anyway, lets just leave it off, hopefully the Bills do not want him. Done.

You do have the right to play in the nfl if any team wants you. Constitutionally. You are the real moronic inferno. Not worth discussing with you anymore as you clearly cannot grasp even the simplest concepts. Who does employ you, I wonder? Man...
-
As noted IF A TEAM THINKS HE IS GOOD ENOUGH TO PLAY. Maybe you and I are both lacking some skills? Pete rose, he's bumming... not sure what to make of that one. If some team wanted to hire him as manager, I would think he would have a legit case and likely win that right. The hall of fame is not a job. By the way, that the guy who has the most hits EVER in the league is not in the hall of fame, does not give the baseball hall much credibility. I will skip cooperstown, thanks.

That and the repeal!

If a team thinks he is good enough to play, he has the right to play. Everyone has the equal right to have every job. The equal rights amendment is an amendment to the constitution and it applies to blacks, whites, hispanics, felons, ugly people, and even those such as yourself. Everyone. There you go. Try to give your children the education you clearly never had, ok? I'm praying for them.

Yes, he does. He paid what the REAL judge thought he should, in full. According to many here, he should have been given life in solitary confinement. Goodell was never elected by anyone and his rulings are nut subject to any third party appeal. What's wrong with this picture? Appointed 'officials' making life-changing rulings. Not certain how great that is, does not seem to work in general for the people.

You're right, I forgot. He was our DC for the wonderful Hank Bullough era... fabulous success -
I have the feeling that the first bold is what the public will come around to sooner rather than later.
-
Did he make the team?
-
Ray Lewis murdering someone was the one that basically said no crime was too much. Vick would have and could have sued Goodell (and won handily) if he was given a lifetime ban. Get over yourself
-
Yes, he was very very stupid. When you are making that kind of money.....don't break the law. Although I am certain he did not feel it was such a serious legal and moral infraction as it turned out to be. If I was an NFL team I would also put in the contract of each high dollar player that they are REQUIRED to hire a driver at 40k per annum. It is incredible that each year these guys get busted for DUI.

Again, you can't walk in another mans shoes. Peyton grew up on the other side of town from Vick. Clearly they had differing influences.

scouting report: 2009 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report: person Nic Harris, SS, Oklahoma Nic Harris is a big, hard-hitting safety who has given nightmares to Big 12 opponents. It started when he was a freshman and earned some starts at free safety. A year later Harris was playing corner and ended the season back at free safety, where he led the team in interceptions and started to show just how good he could be. By his junior campaign, Harris was earning all-conference accolades from just about everybody At 6-3 and 230 pounds, Harris is a big safety. Yet, his foot speed does not suffer due to his size. Harris does a great job getting into the backfield and he is always a candidate to blitz out of the secondary. During the 2007 season he recorded 9.5 tackles-for-loss and 3.5 sacks. Harris is not known for his coverage abilities, but he is not bad at it. Besides leading the team in 2006 with four interceptions, he tallied two in 2007 and broke up seven passes. Harris might not have the pure athleticism and talent of some of the great safeties that have played in the NFL, but he is a solid player and low risk selection. For now he is likely a mid-round selection, but Harris can move his stock up quite a bit with a good senior season and a decent showing at the combine. 12/17 Update: Harris had a solid senior campaign, but did not put up eye popping numbers. He tallied 64 tackles, including three for a loss, but did not get a sack or an interception all year long. The Sooners defense had other playmakers to rack up the sacks and interceptions and Harris did what the team needed him to do. Despite the lack of flashy numbers, Harris still earned AP third-team All-America accolades. 2/12 Update: Harris is trying to move to the outside linebacker position, but the results are not so good. During practices at the Senior Bowl he struggled to move through all the traffic. His footwork is still fine, but he will have to add strength in order to fight through blocks. Harris will need to do better during the NFL Combine or he will fall into the second day of the draft.

He was good in college... because he played on the same line as Mario Williams.

Would beat last years Bills handily, I would guess
-
You think he will get veteran minimum? Signing bonus? I wonder?

Good point I no longer look at anything skooby posts or writes and I encourage all to do the same.

PAcman is avail, and he is a DB. I am very surprised that DJ has not gone and started rimming him yet.

We eat chickens and cows. In Korea, they DO eat dogs it is part of their cultural heritage and diet going back centuries and millions eat them. Are all Koreans evil and bad? I know many Koreans seem like very nice civil folk. And if you are telling me that no-one else here cheats on taxes or does not report income that they happen to get in cash, well, you are just simple minded and naive. Enough already, the valid point was raised by ubeeter billeive; Vick may just not be a very good NFL qb. This would be a very valid reason, to keep him out of the league.

That bug drives me nuts it is too effing real!

Amen. Absolutely correct.

Sadly this sport is a cultural phenomenon in this and many other countries. Given it is horrible and illegal, so are many many things man does to animal. There are millions of people oinvolved with this sport, again, sadly. But they are not all evil human beings, and they are not all phsychopathic. And, even if they are all evil whilst they are doing it, if they pay the price and learn from their error (and you cannot tell me you know for a fact he has NOT learned better) , well, we are supposed to be forgiving. I am so over all you holier than thou people; I am absolutely certain you have all committed crimes and most have commiteted cruelties in their lives; in fact eating a ham sandwich is not very kind to the living creature that pig once was either. Get off your high horses. Glad he is getting a second chance and I hope he can make a better life for himself and his family now.

Dj knows defensive backfields you mean; he really is a career db coach who somehow got to the next level (Ivy League maybe they thought he was smart or something) and failed his way up from there. Let's hope you are right about the new line coach. My confidence in DJ is zero outside the dbs. -
