  1. Scott plays SS, Kop plays FS. What is the correlation? More like injury to Dante would affect Ko.
  2. Josh is a great blocker this saved him for several years in the past. Now that he is a seasoned reciever that is actually productive in the pass game as well as a truly excellent blocker, we should keep him. To give up on him now would be to do all the work on developing a guy and have anoither team reap the benefits. Took a long time with Josh, but now he is there, we should take advantage.
  3. get rid of Kelsay immediately Please!!!
  4. Keep Ellis and Lankster. Time to bite the bullet finally, and get rid of high motor locker room guy. This is the guy that I really want to see the back of finally, even if our DE situation is not fully figured out. Time for Kelsay to go get no production somewhere else.
  5. McIntyre looked like an animal out there his blocking is much better than Shouman. And when he touched the ball he did great too. Shouman got into the rotation as a 7th rounder because we were so deficient at TE for his first couple of years; now we have some guys that can compete, sorry, its time to say bye bye Derek. The team will not be made better by moving him to FB and letting McIntyre go; Corey is a beast too.
  6. I do find the coaching staff mildly Palin... but not over this issue. He is going to get the bulk of the season work he needs some carries before even if he will have a month off between.
  7. I we keep on trying eventually we will find a small guy that can play anyway
  8. KO makes the team until Byrd healthy enough to play. On his way out though IMO. Youboty - what can you say, I agree we should try to get something for him he has some value but we are overstocked and he is so injury prone.
  9. Be a lot easier if you just put the last names. Too much effort needed to decipher, only got through a third of this list. Thanks though
  10. I can only watch the game through slingbox it is tough to always see the details. Anyone watch and can give their impression? This is still the crux of the matter I think when it comes to this season. By the way, so far, Lankster STILL looks much better that Byrd LOL (kind of)...
  11. That is very typical of DJ. See Thomas starting over Freddy last year. Mauron
  12. How did D Bell do in general?
  13. terrible pass but nice b y Leodis
  14. Donte got pushed back like 6 yards. What a tackler!
  15. In the preseason that is. I wish DJ would understand that winning the real games IS the most important thing, trying hard and enjoying playing together is as irrelevant as the weather.
  16. Ahh, but the consisitency. Who has not been to the playoffs in the decade that is NEARLY OVER? Does not speak to good management in my book. In fact, pretty piss poor. 7-9 would be good for this year, the management has 'rebuilt" the team into a perennial loser with terrible coaching hires and draft picks, again and again and again. And it is essentially the SAME management throughout this depressing spell. I think the Raiders are managed worse, and fopr sure the Broncs had a VERY off year, but the Bills do not rate much higher for certain. Maybin=holdout in the final 3 to be signed. Byrd=drafted the wrong guy and he had a realinjury to boot. Thats this year. McCargo, Losman, Whitner, ad infinitumall the way back to Mike Williams. Mularkey, Greggo, DJ. These decisions are failures in management. Long term. So there.
  17. There is one other team in that battle, it is a three horse race, for worst managed
  18. That may be true, but Weis DID get away with the worst season in Irish history (I think); they won 1 game I think. And they were nationally televised all year on NBC doing it. Weis should certainly have been fired well before now. They let go the last guy, forgot his name, because he wasn't winning 10 games every year.
  19. I could make up insider info just as well as John and ESPN could probably get away with paying me a lot les.... Here I am ESPN, I have always liked Conneticut.
  20. Yes excellent points. There is a hard line never crossed between civil and criminal penalty. There is also a hard and fast line between advertising and editorial in the newspaper
  21. Not im portant??? CHRIS FREAKIN KELSAY I think Maybin is kind of important too....
  22. The proof is in the pudding my friend. So far, Lankster looks way better....
  23. I guess I also disagree that the "team need" for another safety was greater than the "team need" to replace almost all of our DEs, especially Kelsay and Ellis but also Denny and Shobel. So in my book, from a contract leverage, from a "team need", and yes, from a "best available player" Brown was the better choice all around. Lets face it Fewell had a personal connection to the kid Byrd, and he IS a db so Fewell was able to sell the bill of goods to Mauron. Time will tell who is the better player, Byrd or Brown, but, from a drafting standpoint Brown was better by every criteria.
  24. Sure you do. If Brown was drafted where we could have gotten him, instread of Byrd, and he was in there kicking ass, it would be a far different situation. The agent would not have the same leverage as he does now.
  25. Exactly. And when the Bills leverage is named Kelsay or Ellis, or Shobel, or Denney, well that is essentially no leverage at all. The Bills NEED Maybin this year, and he knows it, and Segal the agent knows it. Of course if BRown was in camp kicking ass, then everyone on this board would be saying screw Maybin, and the coaches and FO would have that in their minds also. The pshychology and the dynamics of the deal would be different, and Maybin would be in camp already JMO.
