I am surprised that Belechick is so stupid as to show his hand like this to DJ. I wonder why he does not employ the same tactic of looking horrible in pre-season in order to lull the comp into thinking they suck? DJ outmanouvering Belechick again!

LW is and above average RT and he has done well in that capacity for the Bills. He is certainly better than Butler, or at least much more proven, at that position. The Bills are fascinated with seeing how guys fare outside their natural position. Walker, Butler, Wilson, Byrd, Maybin at LB, etc. etc. I have a silly idea, why not try to play guys at their natural position and see what happens? Or, not dradft guys that connot play their natural position, in the NFL?

Whatever else happens, the Buffalo Bills need RW as an owner. When he passes, maybe the nickname will stay, Bills, but the first part of the team name will change inevitably, be it that year or 1-3 years down the road. Likely the day the franchise is sold. RW may not be a perfect owner, but he is a Buffalo owner and at this point in the city history, we need him alive and in ownership position. Enough complaining about him, he is a very necessary evil. DJ on the other hand...

And everything he says at every press conference, should be enough to pull the plug. The fact that he hasn't gotten axed before now suggests it would take a Detroit 08 like season for DJ to be fired. Remarkable.

That is possible since Maybin was supposed to be about the third DE selected and the Bills of course, made him the first DE selected. Maybin in predraft mocks was generally lower first round; orakpo top ten in many mocks. The jury is still way out on both players though, interestig to see what happens. I have seen some youtube stuff of Maybin recently and I am cautiously optimistic. Too bad we don't play Akron this year, THEN we would have a sure fire killer DE.

Sadly we will likely have a bad season and guys like Kelsay, Walker, Whitner, Reed, Ellison and Shouman will get all the playing time, as is DJs way. Most of the young guys with little experience will still have little experience next year even if we do go 4-12. DJ is a Bills killer past, present, AND future, even if he is finally let go before next year.

If DJ keeps Kelsay and Shhouman, as we all know in our heart of hearts he will do, then Mcityre likely loses out.

He'd been injured for a couple of years and had not played well. That he was able to come bacik into good form and play in every game, was a very pleasant surprise. Usually with the Bills luck it goes the other way, the seemingly washed up guy IS washed up.

I say the odds are close to 100%. How could he find worse? Mickey Mouse would be better.
