  1. It is the actual money cost that makes the scenario impossible. No way would RW have approved going up and drafting a guy that was going to cost him millions more to sign. Simple as that. It is stupid to contemplate anyway; it did not happen
  2. Coaching in the Losman league
  3. He is a goner. He can play, but he is a UDFA. A soon to be effective Dolphin or Panther. Shouman was a draft pick and so was Fine and Nelson. And TE likes playing with Shouman, dammit, they really like playing together! And on Fridays they look great! Whats wrong with you???
  4. Moving up to a more expensive draft pick was not and is not feasible for RW owned Bills. Erik IS the rational one here. Moving on...
  5. I sat next to him on the plane once from Buff to Detroit and he was very very polite to the stewardess.
  6. And also D Bell?
  7. OK, I am not too set on the Whitner cut. Kelsay has to go though, it is 2 years too late already.
  8. He certainly was not effusive in his praise of the only guy on the team that looked NFL ready last night... I noticed that too. He wants to cut him so he can keep Shouman. Trying to prime it so he can.
  9. No, those guys don't help, but it is DJ.
  10. Thats why Scott beat him out of his SS position? And we drafted Byrd for FS?
  11. I think we figured it out in an earlier thread, he is good for about one meaningful play per season. So is Ellison, for that matter. And even Kelsay.
  12. Kelsay is awful and we know where his play tops out. Not at a very high level. We can give a shot for some guys like Ellis and Copeland; they really can't be worse (how can you get less sack production? How can you get knocked further back in run the game?) but the upside potential is there. Whitner is a non entity throughout his career; sorry to be the one to break the news. Tough, sure, I guess. Speaks his mind, ok. Still expensive and we theoretically have better in Byrd for free safety and I think Scott has locked down SS. Move Whitner on show the rest of the veteran starters that no one is inviable, maybe they will play a little harder they looked very lackadasical yesterday.
  13. Helps him for sure, if they were going to cut him anyway. Helps him to a cool 2 million bucks.
  14. Now wait a minute, these guys like to play together sir! aND THEY ARE GREAT ON fRIDAYS. I would say, cut Kelsay right away, then really put a shock to the system, trade Whitner if they can get something for him, otherwise cut him and if available re-sign him later to the vet minimum contract. Maybe let Florence go too, he sucks actually if you ever watched him in San Diego. Kelsay is actually a negative when he is out there, and Whitner adds very little.
  15. You are a true optimist the glass is half full! I hope you are 100% correct!!
  16. I like Crow glad he will get the 2 million at least, even if his season and maybe career, are over.
  17. I am over him also. Not ready to call him a complete bust, but would not surprise me if he were not starting by about game 4. Scott and Byrd hopefully can do something. Could happen.
  18. Marty comes to mind. Or Dennis Green. Or Cawher.
  19. I keep thinking, they have to fire him this week. And it keeps not happening
  20. For what, a pop warner job? I think he is out of football after this debacle of 3 seasons and still running. Kay Stephenos Hank Bolough redux
  21. Playing Madden 2010? These guys have PLENTY of free time
  22. Angrily: "We were personally and professionally embarrased out there. It was a disgrace. We were unprepared and it showed." something along those lines. And maybe a Dennis Green rant from DJ would have been appropriate. They just both lay down and took it like the bitches they seem to be. They both catch, neither pitch.
  23. Disappointment and disallusionment that we are stuck with a coach who in my opinion gives us no chance to win. I don't hate anybody ; wish DJ the best in his life and endeavors. Just wish he would resign is all.
  24. Never noticed but from now, I will never be able to NOT notice. Funny stuff.
  25. Would have been nice if he said, yeah, we're going to evaluate these guys and the incumbents and see what changes we need to make so we can get some pressure oin the qb this year. He does not even challenge Kelsay or Shobel to do better or else. Seems they have the starting jobs locked up... but why?
