  1. What are the mandatory cut down dates?
  2. He is a DJ guy. Good locker room, good Friday practicer. Ellis and Copeland could combine for 10 sacks the last 2 preseason games, and stonewall the run game. One of them is getting cut, Kelsay is starting, and the one who does not get cut will barely se the field until week 8 earliest. sad testament.
  3. How much punishment should I (we) take from a team that keeps DJ on forever knowing he is horrible. They could have had Mike Sherman and they hired DJ. 2-8 down the stretch, 0-6 in the division last year. I lose all interest in the NFL as soon as the Bills are out of it every year. A fair weather fan roots for the teams that are good that particular year. I am only a Bills fan for life. The franchise should do something for the fans as well as vice versa.
  4. Re the no huddle, I've see Jim Kelly, and, Trent, you ain't no Jim Kelly.
  5. Thanks for bringing that up - was a repressed trauma memory till now. Yikes that was terrible
  6. 3 million, anyway, for this year that he will take it easy and just watch for free from the sidelines.
  7. I was excited last year at 5-1; fully ready to give the Bills complete confidence and looking forward to the playoffs. This year I will take a more conservative approach and likely not see the light at the end of the tunnel until we have nine wins with two game to go. What if the Bills somehow against the odds, start strong? When do you jump on?
  8. He was better at his worst as a linebacker, than Kelsay has been at his best as a DE
  9. Another vanity, luxury pick by DJ et al. Hope not, but looks like it to me. He is best suited to a position he did NOT play in collegee, sound familiar? At lease DJ put some good pieces in place for the next regime
  10. Tim Graham asked him, and got limp Dicks response: "Tim Graham here ... When I passed through Orchard Park on Thursday, I twice asked Jauron about preparing for the Patriots' defense in the opener since they're moving to a 4-3. He essentially informed me -- and in what I thought was a pretty condescending tone -- the Patriots always have run four-man fronts. So what? I guess they're wasting an awful lot of ink and bandwidth in Boston. "
  11. It is the flip side of your argument which makes it so tedious. RW would never move UP to spots because it would COST him 9th pick money when he can easily validate to fans that he pay only 11th pick money. In fact RW would probably prefer to trade DOWN several spots, to save money. Trade up in the into the top 10 picks in the first round... never. The fact is, we could have had Orakpo, but, we do have Maybin. We can only hope that the coaching and scouting staff did a better job here than on say, Losman. WOOD seems like a good pick (but I credit luck, not them, don't ask me why) but Byrd was another terrible choice given what was avail.
  12. I agree with Simon that Shobel is a standup guy and not bad even good when he is healthy. Of course he has the disadvantaqge of being completely exposed by the lack that is Kelsay; they can always key up on his side because Kelsays side NEVER needs more than one on one blocking to annhilate. Get a push up the middle (stroud and McCaro this year?) and SOMETHIGN on the other side and you will see how good Shobel can still be. We HAVE to get rid of Kelsay but, I have zero confidence that we will do.
  13. What does Jeff Garcia have to do with anything?
  14. They did not manage to game plan once last year either IN THE REGULAR SEASON, against the teams we face 2 times per year. The most disturbing thing was not the game itself it was Trents comments in the aftermath that they had not seen a 3-4 defense in practice or many on the team, at all. Watch the game, yes, maybe it isn't so bad (although BJ Raji's completely effective bull rushes were not GOOD, either). Watch the press conference again, and consider last years 0-6 against the division debacle, and maybe it is time to worry a bit.
  15. Which Trent straight out admitted in his press conference. Incredible. Thansk for the great teaching DJ.
  16. Why is that I wonder. Never done much as far as I can tell, either as a blocker or to move the chains. I always figured it was by proxy - we had no-one else (save Robert frigging Royal). Now we seem to have a guy that is big enough to block and still can get open and has soft hands. Why would Shouman start?
  17. The only problem is that would mean the Fo and coaches w0ould have to admit one of their draft picks was wrong. They don't want to get rid of Shouman (TE likes him, Ooohh) and Fine and Nelson are 4th and 5th rounders that are young. Trust the bills brain"trust" to get this one wrong. we need to get rid of Shouman AND Fine. But it wont happen. More likely Stupar will be playing in another uniform this season.
  18. Yeah its killing him LOL...
  19. I have heard that many times and never seen a scintilla of evidence. He certainly is not teaching the team how tom manage a 3-4 defense. HE was our DC under Hank Bolough I believe. And Detroits. Yes, wonderful body of work. This guy is going to be out of the HC job and never even get another sniff at ANY nfl job if there is any justice in the world.
  20. it is outrageous that TE said this was the first time many of the guys got a look at a 3-4. But if that is true, and we have to assume it is, then is that not, again, 100% on the coaches??? I simpoly cant get over that one it is hard to contemplate that we have been practicing against ourselves only and not against what we will see in the season. All the "teaching" DJ does with the walk through practices is really (not) showing up here. He is teaching the offense to play against guys like Kelsay in the same system that we employ only... no pass rush and cbs playing 7-10 yards off the line. Earth to DJ - we are the ONLY ones who play such a ridiculous and ill-suited system.
  21. Plug him in at LT where we need him let him have his trial by fire. Will strengthen the rest of the line a lot by allowing others to shift to their natural positions... and he may surprise by being at least capable if not outright good. By seasons end we have an experienced LT moving forward, or we know he is not the guy.
  22. Walk through are really not sufficient even if you ARE preparing for the 3-4. The bills don't have a training camp in a true sense of the work, just a bunch of very rich guys bunking in dorm rooms and watching some film and doing some light running around without pads. At least that is the impression I get from everyone who went and checked it out and reported back here.
  23. Would be great this week. Likely week 5. Or, after the season. No way does he get another year it just would be too difficult for Brandon to sell tickets and he would be able to convey that to RW.
