Just saw him on there he wears a constantly sheepish look while talking about the next game he will call. At the end he goes "pumped up" in a lame little voice. You can see that Theismann et al. are just thinking of what a terrible job this guy did in Detroit , and Millen knows that is what they are thinking, and he is thinking of the same thing. You can't even concentrate on what the guy is saying even it is very blatant. Embarrassing for all. He should drop out of public life and count the Ford millions he collected.

I guess he was thinking about all that money and that he might have a career ender injury the next week. Same way you or I may have considered 18.5 million. Bird in hand.
-
I like Vince Young and I hope he does well and justifies the switch. Remember the USC game, come on, how do you not rout for this guy??

We have a (very good) marketing guy as GM. Need to creae some hope and some hoopla - ticket selling time - new coach. Not before. Sadly the 2 best guys in the Bills organization at their job may be Byrd at free safety.. and Russ Brandon at ticket sales.

Forget hell, he is 91, he is rotting right here on earth -
Get new Offense Coord - NOW, dump AVP

Everybody knows our playbook it is about 2 pages long. Getting someone up to mickey mouse speed would not be a problem. That said it is a dumb idea -
Rich had 2 winning seasons out of 5 total. Yes the decline the penalty to punt decision goes down as the single worst of all time, but, DJ is worse for sure than Rich Kotite. Poor Leon Hess, but at least he pulled the plug on Kotite after a couple years. For RW, no sympathy; he prolongs the pain.

Our children are being raised by the LSD-induced cartoonists who make talking kitchen utensils for Saturday morning tv. They can handle the word Fag. -

NIcole wouldn't effing listen and RW knows it. Name stays up. -
Will be coaching at a major U football power within 3 years. He is too good a recruiter and coach to go unnoticed. The 'noles would be a great spot for him once they clean out Bowden at the end of the season and decide the OC they had thought would succeed him is a bust.

By game 16 Jauron will have ruined Byrd
zazie replied to Niagara Bill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How did he manage to ruin TE, Lynch, Poz, Whitner, etc.etc.? By coaching mediocrity and softness. Listen to TEs press conferences from his rookie and early second year and to some from earlier this year. The attitude difference goes beyond noticable it is remarkable. He has taken on DJs losing personality. And now he too is a loser although he at least made some bank prior, whatever a 3rd round qbs first contract won him with the risers that must have come from starting 30 games. DJ ruined this guy as surely as he has ruined 2009, 2008, and 2007 Bills seasons. And the jerkoff knows and openly admits it. -
Wow that is painful. But maybe accurate. Nic Harris may well be our best guy, even. The college safety 5th round draft choice. But Poz will get a couple more years to prove he's not that good before his contract runs out and e becomes someone elses back-up MLB and ST player.

Poz is consistently being exposed.

I have to think that most of the plaers who are thriving on other squads would have faced a similar uphill battle with the coaching here to max their talents. And some guys we have would be significantly better on other squads. Our coaches are talent and career killers. Character wise OK marshawn had some growing up to do but his little petty crimes were not so bad for a young guy coming out of the environment he came out of (although fleeing the scene of an accident was not a shining moment. But result wise I do not think Willis or David Harris could attain here what they have on the teams that drafted them. DJ is responsible for a lot of lost games and many more lost dollars by the players whose careers he derailed. When you own up to it week after week that you are the cause of failure when do you actually just man up and resign? Never, I guess. -
Not really. The guys that were injured weren't particularly good anyway.

Hew will be gone soon enough. Lucky we did not lose him to Nebraska last year already -

It is not a coondidence that the one recent 1st day draft pick that is outplaying his draft position is the one guy that has been largely kept away from the 'development' of our coaches by first his graduation date then the groin surgery. Lets hope this set of coaches NEVER gets to 'develop' Byrd -

UB improves actually every year under Gill. This years team has lost several very close games; if they had their star rb they likely wold have won those. Gill is building a great foundation he is a really good coach and I am excited to see next years team. Same cannot be said for the Bills -
Cut a guaranteed 6.5 million guy who also was the impetus for a ton of ticket sales? Dont think Russ will be down for that or RW.
-
we do many things like this. Wilson is a wr by trade. Byrd was a corner at Oregon (got lucky with that shift it seems, though). This team is a shambles and by his own admission DJ is the only one to look at for it. He built it, we have to live with it. Like an ugly big highway on the waterfront some ahole politicians got rich approving - even after those politicians are long gone, we have to live with what they did. DJs legacy (if we can ever even get away from him and BEGIN that legacy) will be several seasons of rebuilding the monstrosity. Go sabres!!!

I respect Sully for just being able to turn up to put up with Djs press conferences for so long. They are SO maddening
