  1. Based on his win loss record at Atlanta, he is a major upgrade from TE and certainly Fitz. But, we would need coaching that can adapt to the players on the team, which we do not currently have even a semblance of. Our current coach has a hard enough time with the mickey mouse offense he has put in place, and makes completely inappropriate adjustments like going no-huddle with players that are just not suited (not to mention the cover 2 on defense with a weak pass rush). DJ is truly the 'mauronic inferno'. New coach next year who has basic competance Vick can be a successful NFL qb which he has proven already. And with a good coach Vick can excel.
  2. Who can say? he took Atlanta there. And for everyone who said Vince Young was so bad, watch out he comes to town this weekend I think he will take it out on us.
  3. No point in cutting him he already got his salary for the year. They would just IR him in that case
  4. Like all the players in the league, he picks the team that agrees to pay him the most.
  5. DJ on Maybin: "When we drafted him we knew what he was, he's a speed rusher off the edge," Jauron said. "He's not a giant defensive end, but he's a strong guy and he's got a great motor. We knew that it would take some time and thought he could help us right away in our pass rush and that's still pretty much where we are."' Man, I am tired of hearing that. Why NOT get a huge DE like orakpo? Is there someone in the NFL, that has made it to that level, that does NOT have a high motor?
  6. Dick should be the defensive backs coach at alleghany state tops or, better, out of football forever.
  7. Nothing wrong with an ego if you have backed itup with a SB. Billick would give me hope for sure. Now that he has the analysts chair though not sure we can pry him loose.
  8. Well if the quality friends he made in Buffalo are getting shot and killed, lord knows what kind of friends he is making in New Orleans.
  9. Yeah he is a player, and he's not queer. We should grab him and axe that Nancy boy Lynch.
  10. I would definately take Vick if Dungy were to agree to be the HC in Buffalo too. Dungy would be such a blessing after DJ. Same temprement but the similarities end there.
  11. Constructive is in the eye of the beholder. Bullfighting in Spain is largely the same as dogfighting in terms of cruelty. And despite the abhorrence of the practivce to many, dog fighting and rooster fighting IS a long practiced and popular "sport" in many cultures all over the world, and has been for a long long time. And not everyone who goes to these fights is some evil wrech that deserves punishment, some just grew up with it culturally. Even in America. People in India likewise would likely object strongly to our slaughter of millions of cattle.
  12. He would be nuts to do that, risk all that money, but maybe you are right about that he seems that type of guy.
  13. Reid>>>>>>>DJ Maybe his gameday work is not great, but his players are clearly prepared, have a gameplan, and are clearly fit.
  14. DJ has done just as bad or worse on a consistant basis throughout his Bills tenure. Reid had a bad game, maybe he was smoking his son's crack stash, but overall wow I would take Reid over DJ any day, and one bad quarter over the myriad of bad quarters that DJ can claim.
  15. No it was a two-pronged post. First part was about Vince Young. Second was about potential Bills. Sorry for the confusion. Although Vince would be a big improvement over the Bills qb corp, we never had a chance at him, and unless he starts some dog fights, we likely never will.
  16. I also find it ironic that they fired a guy who was doing a credible job and keep a guy on that has destroyed the program. Racist mickey drunks or racist child molesting catholic clergymen? Take your pick.
  17. My alma mater is UR so I am a Division 3 loser Yellowjacket. Don't really follow college at all just happy to see coach Weis (and Mangini) fail horribly. And I remember all the ND fans so uppity all the time when Holtz was there, nice to see them have some tough times.
  18. Vince Young is a winner, tough for some of you to swallow I know. He wins games though, huh, when his head is on straight. Orakpo, Hargrove, Greer Fletcher... all had great games again. Even old Sam Aiken got involved. But hey, Malcolm Kelly still sucks! so there is some saving grace for the "brain trust"
  19. If you think Keith Ellison is comparable to Fletcher, well, he is not.
  20. Instead he is near the top of his game and still never misses a game. Left forearm intact
  21. Ah, remember the days of Lou Holtz? Keep those memories fresh sir! ND has never been the same, and the last few years have been bad to pedantic. The bloom is off the rose, now, it will be tougher and tougher to recruit good players to come to the cold. Their best recruiting class supposedly in decades was the Clausen class; they did not perform and it is downhill from here. last year UB=or>ND
  22. We would have picked Poz in the first round, according to Levy, had our first choice not still been there. He was #2 on the board for the Bills. So, could have been worse, believe ot or not.
  23. which is what I said in my original post.
  24. 5 years should be enough, you are right. He will have made it by then if ever. Made up stats? 1-11 and 3-9 is the same thing for Notre Dame football. I guess you are an Irish fan, getting your new college game loser mentality ready?
  25. I saw him a couple times in person, out of uniform, and he is not a midget, you're right. Average height, 5"9' or 5"10'. I would have noticed if he was that short.
