The expectation/assumption by DJ and staff that we can keep our now 2-running back rotation healthy not just for this game but for the balance of the season seems absurd. They have created a new hole in order to keep way too many guys in other positions. I assume we must pick up another running back, right? Or am I being obtuse? So they still have the problem of who to cut next week or the week after, and who to pick up. Thoughts?

The FO who gave away Briere and Drury? Hardly great. But they have their hands tied by the financials; other teams are richer. We generally lose our stars for money reasons yet the FO does manage to field a competetive team almost every year. Compared to the Bills, well, there is no comparison. Sabres are run much much better in every way.

More than any other player (and there are several) TE has been destroyed by DJ. Bad luck for him.

Byrd turned out to be a great pick but I do not assign that to anything but the luck of the draw. Based on need and other factors, it was a terrible pick at the time. Retrospect tells us it was a great pick. Finally the worm turns in our favor.
