  1. Maybe, but this was certainly not always the case in America. Plenty of average white boys have been the boss over far more talented black guys for no other reason than race. Did you ever see the great HBO movie "Something the lord made" about the advent of surgical techniques? Same rules applied for many decades across all vocations. the rule is meant to make sure that the cream has the opportunity to rise to the top in the first place. America has been and remains a very racist country. And I am a white boy realizing this.
  2. Why should people know this? Sounds the same to me. Still don't have a real explanation of the distinction. Dr. squirrel.
  3. Or Bills fans, about DJ.... Haslett has had a couple of chances already and not come through, do we really need another 3-4 years with a loser.
  4. You sure about that? Nelson seems like a great later round pick. Maybin would be a project if selected in the later rounds, too.
  5. aDDED THE LINK ON TOP
  6. Sorry just saw a new article today saying he is the perfect fit. Hadn't seen previous threads
  7. Sorry I will tone it down out of respect to the more conservative among us.
  8. I'd rather take a flier on Perry than bring in a known quantity, if the part we know is that he is not a winner. Why does this name keep coming up??? LINK: http://bleacherreport.com/tb/b1Gqa F!
  9. Pretty sure if your boss was the serial failure that DJ was, he would't be the boss or he wouldn't last many many years.
  10. But his players LIKED each other....
  11. It could also be argued that the earth is flat. But Dj absolutely sucked and would have done with any coordinators. I think yesterdays game was actually a testament to how awful DJ really is as a coach. And as for his being such a good man, we don't really know that either maybe he is a serial killer too. Or a lying bastard (as someone else noted his Yale transcript should be verified, he is a moron who speaks less coherently than neon dion on crack) that cheats on his wife with men, as a cather not a ptcher. He will never get off the hook for the damage he caused the Bills, in my book. Go Perry, I love the way he handles himself so far!
  12. I dont think he was correcting your diction rather he was sarcastically questioning whether Maybin should be in on any down at all, much less be an every down player.... A legit question judging from yesterday I guess. Couldn't watch but I see Maybins name nowhere in the stat lines.
  13. That is surely sexism I just can't figure out which sex would qualify as the maligned one....
  14. I wonder if these guys carry some insurance policy to cover catastrophic injury. If Wood is actually done (hope not but seems possible) he likely only gets the guaranteed part of his contract. I wonder if he has a bunch more coming from some insurance? And do most players? Sorry for the morbid topic just interested a little in the business aspect of the game.
  15. Well that is an easy one, Maybin is undersized. Smallish for his position. Perfect fit with DJs strategy. That jerk!
  16. Wow. That is a sobering article to say the least.
  17. I think it took some time for proper medical care to get to him they were way down the beach. Wood was treated by the best in the biz immediately of course.
  18. Now that would be painful. Am I the only on who thinks Tebow will be a 2nd day draft pick based on his size and the system he played in college?
  19. Hey now, the guy looked great against Akron!
  20. The peg leg almost DID happen to that NE RB who got hurt in a beach game at the probowl several years ago. Forgot his name, but I remember the Dr. sayaing after that they were close to having to amputate, it was 50/50 for awhile if they could save it. And I think even THAT guy came back albeit briefly, to the league. Edwards I think was his name.
  21. We would trade down anyway, RW does not want to pay #1 salary.
  22. I think the conclusion we can draw from the many varied opinions is that it is very serious and can range anywhere from he is practising next summer to he never plays again and has a gimpy and/or shortened leg. Only time will tell, no reason to argue it further until more info becomes available. And that the guy who wished this injury on Levitre instead is an ass.
  23. A good deal of the value we got for him was carted off the field today to an uncertain future though.
  24. What is the distinction please?
  25. It just looked like the upper part gave also when the guy rolled on it. Either that or the knee itself. I could only watch it once but it looked like something above the lower leg either broke or gave as well. Hope not. I was certainly wrong about the sports hernia, happily. I did not say a year though on that I said 9 weeks jutst to get back to practice. I did say a year on the ACL.... and as far as I know our star receiver has not yet seen the field a year later.
