  1. In his defense, soccer is terrible.
  2. Chemistry is rarely instant, let the guys go into training camp and pre-season first.
  3. Dixon, I have seen enough of Jeff Tuel to know that he stinks and at best is a training camp practice squad QB type.
  4. I really liked the way Chan used CJ. Getting him the ball on screens and out the backfield on passes, and then handing it off to him a lot out of shotgun situations. With CJ you need to get him in space so that his speed is much more effective (Obviously any player is better in space but if you spread the field with him, it makes it more likely you can get him to have those big plays). Trying to run him up the middle will hopefully work better if the O-line and passing game come together more.
  5. Thad deserved to have a good chance to make the roster. Guy played well considering he got thrown into the fire a lot. I still would have liked the team have brought in a veteran to compete for the backup spot. I really don't like seeing Tuel on the roster the guy is garbage. He filled in after not being on the team for the off-season and being hurt after getting a couple of starts. He wasn't good but he was far from tragic which isn't a ringing endorsement but if you look at the circumstances surrounding his play it makes it look better in that context.
  6. They will probably be 7-9, Fitz is mediocre but you could do a lot worse (Although it would be better to give the playing time to a rookie who could develop). The Texans defense with Clowney and Watt will be good and they have a good running game. Not surprising that they named Fitz the starter after they didn't draft a QB early, basically the only guy on the roster with significant starting experience.
  7. Bills could use depth in that area, wouldn't mind bringing him in but I doubt he would want to come to Buffalo but stranger things have happened.
  8. Its a ploy to get one last big deal. Granted I think its a really good idea to get out of the game if you saved your money and still have your health. But its also hard to do so when you are 28 and probably have a couple of years left in the tank to make some serious money. I bet Lynch is thinking that he wants to play but only if the price is right.
  9. Personally I think Soccer stinks, for me its like they took everything cool about hockey and made it suck. But outside of my personal beliefs there are many reasons why Americans will never get into soccer outside of the world cup. The MLS is a third tier league and the top leagues in the world play in Europe or some other country far outside the United States time zones. Americans have access to the best Basketball, Baseball, and Hockey leagues in the world along with the NFL which is Americas past time. Why would you watch a third tier soccer league in the MLS or the best leagues during weird hours, when you have so many other sports that have the best leagues in so many other sports? Even if Americans liked soccer (Which I don't think they would) the conditions to foster that just aren't there.
  10. There are some good depth players avaiable if you are a team looking for a vet third stringer in case someone gets hurt. Wouldn't mind seeing the team bring in a vet guard to compete with Urbik and the kids for the RG position.
  11. I will see it when I believe it but its good to see some people believing.
  12. The Clippers price is highly inflated. The Bucks sold for way less so the range for teams is somewhere between 550 million and 2+ billion. The Bills are a low tier NFL team value wise. I don't think they will be a 2 billion dollar team like if the Giants or Cowboys got sold. The Bills will sell in the range of 1-1.5 billion depending on how many bidders get involved. The Clippers pretty much got sold at the right time, the team is really good, the NBA is doing well and about to come up on a new TV deal, the Lakers are in a down turn, and there were a lot of bidders.
  13. Bills are already giving Moeaki a shot to revive a injury riddled career along with Chandler being in the fold. So bringing Finley in would create a log jam at the position with two of the three guys being injury riddled.
  14. Spiller will play out the year and take his chances out on the open market. The market for him will either collapse or open up depending on how he does this year. The Reggie Bush contract is a solid bench mark for him but his standing will be much different after this season.
  15. The potential is there with Gilmore, but until he does it consistently its nothing the team can bank on.
  16. I would say it was a combo of both, they did a bad job of scheming towards his strengths and then there were times Spiller just didn't execute.
  17. I actually liked the Texans not reaching for a QB. You don't take a QB unless you think he is the guy. Why waste a pick on a player just to satisfy your fanbase? Savage is a young guy who is a project but they got him in the 4th. Fitz is a innings eater QB, decent enough to hold down the fort and ideally a backup. If your scouting staff and coaching staff felt like there was no QB's worth taking why waste the pick? You got a dynamic defensive player 1st overall, a really good guard in round 2, and some good players in the later rounds.
  18. Kiper is giving his opinion based on how he evaluated the draft and the individual teams needs he evaluated. Every year he or another pundit gives the Bills a bad draft grade they knock them and call them idiots. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and analysis. Just because someone thinks the Bills did a bad job doesn't invalidate their opinion simply for that reason.
  19. C- I really think they overpaid big time to move up just 5 spots. However they did get a very dynamic offensive player. I hated the Stevie trade. But I really liked the 2nd round pick and their mid round selections were good too. I think it was a big mistake to trade Stevie for a mid rounder because with Watkins, Williams, and Woods around him Stevie could have been a dynamic slot receiver. Although I understand that it makes for more playing time for Woods I still think it was a big mistake esp when you consider the value they got back for him. The trade for Brown was decent a bit steep of a price but they needed a Running Back so its not tragic. They didn't get a backup QB which is OK with me since any QB drafted in the 4th round or later wasn't going to be better than Thad Lewis as a backup. They didn't get a tight end which is a historically neglected position for some reason. They also left Free Safety and a pass rusher opposite Mario as holes on the roster. They weren't going to fill every need on the roster but they filled a decent amount of needs (Playmaker on offense, RT, and depth at RB, LB, and CB).
  20. Team needed depth at corner and he seems like he could play safety. Overall the type of solid selection you make in round 4.
  21. On paper is always a dangerous game to play. The talent has to manifest its self on the field as opposed to just looking like a good collection of talent. I like the potential of the team, this is probably one of the more talented rosters the team has had is a long while but with this team I will believe it when I see it.
  22. The NFL is basically using him as PR. Much like the NBA with Jason Collins.
