  1. I think Wade could easily make the PS coming out of camp. I am not sure if he will unseat Yeldon as the third RB but it certainly is possible. I think another year on the PS would be good and then he can make the roster at 30 and get a good 2-3 year run as a backup RB and a return man.
  2. O-line didn't play together at all before last season and they were still a mid-level unit even with Ford taking a lot of snaps as a rookie. I think having all 5 starters back after playing together for a full season will improve the team along with Ford being more consistent like he was towards the back part of 2019 should improve the O-line to being a top 10 unit. All 5 starters are under 30 and don't have a major injury history. The unit is also deep with 2-4 versatile starting caliber players coming off of the bench too so injury is insured against as much as reasonably possible. I think the O-line improvement will happen, LB's are in my opinion a strong part of the defense. Edumonds and Milano are one of the best LB pairings in the league, while Klein is a decent vet to round out the core and come in on standard packages. They don't have too much depth their besides V.Joseph who might not be much depth at all, so that is one of the few depth concerns on the roster in my opinion. Kicker isn't a major concern, Haush is a vet and they draft a big booted kicker, between the two I think they will find a good kicker. Agreed fully on Josh Allen, he needs to get the offense to being a top 10 unit.
  3. Seems fair, Ravens and Chiefs are ahead of them in the AFC, I would then say the Saints and 1-2 other NFC teams (Niners, Packers, or Seahawks) could be put ahead of the Bills. Right now there are no glaring needs along the Bills roster and most areas of the roster are deep. The Bills improved the offense with the Diggs and draft additions while keeping the defense just as strong if not slightly stronger with the AJ addition. The team also in my opinion improved a decent ST unit both in free agency and in the draft. The Bills could realistically field a top 5 defense, top 10 offense and top 10 ST unit.
  4. Hard to not rank the Bills as the number 3 team in the AFC, The Ravens had a really strong draft and kept most of their team together, The Chiefs are the champs and they should be ranked one. But out of the rest I am not sure who you would put firmly above the Bills. The Steelers are getting Big Ben back but they lost some key pieces on defense. The Pats lost their QB and have massive other issues on offense, I am not buying the Titans QB situation and skill positions, and the Texans lost their best receiver. I don’t see any other non-playoff teams from 2019 that made some sort of huge leap. The Bills have no glaring holes on the roster and they are deep at most if not all positions. They are well coached and their QB is a young ascending QB who even if he maintains his level of play from 2019 can get the Bills to 11-12 wins. I also think that not only did the Bills add Diggs to the offense but they hopefully improved the ST unit with 2 key specialists via free agency and a kicker via the draft. The minimum expectations for this roster should be to win the division and win a playoff game. Anything less is a disappointment of epic proportions. Beyond that I would say that expecting a bye is hard since there is only 1 bye now and expecting a AFC title game appearance or higher is hard to do because a lot of that will be determined by matchups and injuries things that are not fully in the team’s control.
  5. That does make sense they did have a lot of time to fill. I agree that they could have filled it better as you said.
  6. I was legitimately wondering if this was the most personally tragic draft class? They treated every draft pick as a human interest story. Now to be fair they do this every year as each draft has some legitimately interesting human interest stories. BUT man was it laid on super thick this year for some reason.
  7. I love how much competition there is on this team. The top 3 WR's are quality players, Diggs is a good WR 1, Brown a quality WR 2 and Beasley is a very good slot receiver, and Roberts occupies the 6th WR spot due to his value on special teams. There then exists Davis who will likely occupy the WR 4 spot but then the WR5 spot has a ton of competition. Mackenzie (a good gadget WR), Foster (a previously productive player), Hodgins (a high upside raw prospect) and Duke Williams who showed flashes last season will all be competing for the WR5 spot. That's 4 WR's all of whom have positives (many of whom could make a roster as a WR4 or WR5) competing for a marginal roster spot. I likely see it going to Mac as a gadget WR and then Hodgins snuck onto the PS but I wouldn't count out Duke and Foster to win a competition.
  8. Moss plus two bigger WR's is a nice complement of skill position players to the team. AJ helps the biggest need on defense getting younger along the DE particularly at DE but the skill position infusion of talent is quality.
  9. We will wait and see just how much the Diggs trade will change the fortunes of this franchise. What I hope is that Diggs comes in and is this team's WR1 for the next 3 seasons and maintains a high level of production the next 2 seasons. That would add the needed punch to the offense and provide the gains over a long enough period of time to justify the significant draft capital and cap space put into it.
  10. This was a solid draft. They filled their depth and role player needs around a solid roster while adding one good foundational/starting piece to the D-line (AJ) not much else you could ask for esp in a draft lacking a first round pick. Setting aside Diggs as part of this draft this draft very much added a lot of good talent to the roster in areas of need. AJ is a possible starting caliber player at a position where the team was older and long term needed to get younger as well as could have used a short term depth piece. Moss adds a good complement to Singletary and allows for this team to be set out of the backfield the next 3-4 seasons. They then got a couple of young WR's that can provide short term depth and possibly take over for Brown and Beasley long term. Fromm is a good prospect and could take over for Barkely in 1-2 seasons. They got a kicker to compete with Haush and a nice project corner to add some secondary depth on the PS.
  11. Good move for Winston, he needs to get some help to harness his insane talent level.
  12. Need is always a factor in picks. Anyone who thinks otherwise is sticking to some fantasy.
  13. Strict BPA is also stupid and no one would do it. Would you draft 5 RB's if they all happened to be the best player on the board?
  14. The thing with Star is that if he is the player he was in the later part of the season he is a really good player. But he hasn't been that guy consistently. Vernon Butler is kind of the same (albeit at a different role) in terms of his play. Granted this is off write ups and a little film but from what I know Butler can be flat out dominant but his play lapses a lot too.
  15. I think he might take a year to be fully healthy. But I think with the insane depth at DT they can work him back as a rotational player.
  16. I think Star's role is different. Star was complete trash for a lot of last season but from Thanksgiving on his play improved a lot and so did the rush defense. The biggest knock on Butler is that he is inconsistent.
  17. Trent as good as he is, is still a 31 year old Tackle with an injury history who requires a big contract. Fans clamoring for him are falling in love with the name..
  18. Harry was about to have a breakout season last year. I firmly believe his injury is what set back the rush defense in the middle of the season. So while I do agree that Jefferson is the second best DT I would put Butler about the same as Star and Henry.
  19. DT is 5 deep with starting caliber players. Ed Oliver was above average as a rookie and fished strong, Quinton Jefferson was a impactful starter on a good defense last season. Henry Phillps was about to have a breakout season last year before he got hurt and should look to be a rotational player there. Star finished the year strong and plays a role in the defense. They also added Vernon Butler who is coming off his best season and is at worst a high end rotational DT.
  20. Nice depth pick, love how McBeane really understands the needs of the team. Grab a CB in round 5.
  21. None of them are as good as Diggs
  22. WR or a secondary player for depth would be a nice way to round out this draft in round 4.
  23. I like Addison to add some more pressure off the Edge and AJ adds some depth, I think Hughes also has one more solid year left. Murphy also is a rotational player. I like AJ more as a future piece than for short term impact but the depth a flexibility he provides is helpful.
  24. I love it, great value at a position of need. Go get a WR in round 4.
