  1. There is way too much made of this nonsense. Everything we do is with a risk. Crossing the street, getting on an elevator, mowing the lawn. Every job we take has a detrimental possibility. Dental assistants get terrible hand issues. Truck drivers face obesity and sedentary lifestyle issues. Office workers, the same. Finance bros face mental health issues. Every job has its faults and everyone chooses what they do including sportsball players. The point I'm making is that at this point everyone realizes football is a contact sport and if you've made it to the NFL you've surely had your bell ring, at the least. These guys have dreams and a competitive edge that is different than other careers. Who are we or anyone else to tell them what to do when they know the risks and reap the rewards? Spare me all of this concern. The NFL is not a difficult job. Logging, farming, firefighting, etc. are more dangerous. Loading trucks at a warehouse, working a poultry plant, and most industrial jobs are just as difficult. We are over infatuated with these gladiators and their choices.
  2. Not many would say this or agree. I don't agree or disagree. Both are a lot different and I'd have to put some thought into it.
  3. did you mean that the other way around? rapp/hamlin and bishop are a step up from rapp/hamlin/johnson? or did you mean edwards? pound ray davis against them, don't be afraid to play hollins to block to save Shakir.
  4. 4.69 is not incredibly slow.
  5. i never hoped to think of Jaquan Johnson again. good speed, good athlete, not great in our pro defense. i really thought he could step up with his athleticism and speed but as soon as he got to where he needed to be he'd drop the ball (figuratively) and often times be caught looking anywhere else but where he needed to be almost as if he was leodis mckelvin of the safety position. though i must say, mckelvin was underappreciated.
  6. i can see how yes, it would be definition mean that he takes bad angles in respect to intercepting the path of the ball carrier once the catch is made (which he does struggle with) but i attribute that to lack of speed to even get there. i was speaking without respect to the speed factor - his angle to get to the ball carrier when running or making the catch is generally on point. however, he is flimsy and can be taken out of the play with just a gentle breeze.
  7. he is good friends with LaFleuer
  8. he lacks speed but he takes good angles. he just can't close the gaps fast enough.
  9. Hamlin does not make mistakes or take bad angles. he plays smart. and that matters.
  10. No joke. Don't want to listen to an interview to find out.
  11. He posted some great pasta pickle juice recipes here once.
  12. we played matt barkley 3 times in one season after he started the season on our roster.
  13. offense gets you to the playoffs. time of possession and lack of errors get you to the super bowl. defense wins championhips. Samuel never made sense. I would have preferred Henry in the offseason but think that Ray Davis can be as important as Henry would have been. Darynton Evans is going to be an interesting situation.
  14. i'm laughing at everyone saying he is washed up. sure, he may not be as good as he was 4-5 years ago but it is undeniable he made this team better and more importantly this team was already in contention to win the super bowl. so, a team that was probably vying for the super bowl title got slightly better at the least but the average person just writes off that Hopkins is washed - strange to me. regardless, he does not need to run past defenders or separate. there are two factors here. ball placement with mahomes is incredible and he can get it where Hopkins can and will win the contested catch. and when he does not win the catch the refs will bail the team out. i promise you that in the playoffs mahomes will make at least 2 throws to hopkins that will result in a PI call that will bail them out. the chiefs became better today. if by nothing else they got another capable body on their team.
  15. Agree fully and Stafford is and never was a bad QB. He just wasn't fit for Detroit. Both are better off the route taken. Similarly with Eli and Rivers.
  16. NFL radio says done deal
  17. Goff was traded and the Rams won a Superbowl. No one will respect him until he does the same. It's BS
  18. There is a chance we could be the chiefs only loss. They don't have any tough games remaining - I don't count the Texans being tough against them. The ravens have it even easier but they have a habit of dropping a few in division games or a random ***** up. Plus, they play the Texans. The Texans are screwed. Dallas, KC, Detroit, and the Ravens. They will lose 2 more games. The one seed in the AFC will be a 2 loss Ravens or Chiefs. Our Chiefs, Niners, Lions matchups will give us at least 1 loss for 3 on the season.
  19. Not even close. The headlines to be a 3time MVP is too good to pass up. They can't give Henry the MVP when the reigning MVP is on the same roster, either. Henry could break the record for rushing yards and Jackson still gets it because the media hype. The media hype loves to pretend Josh is an underdog and pretend they ignore him. The media loves the narrative that Josh is not the same calibre as Jackson because he hasn't won anything, he throws picks, he isn't as great of a play maker. The media keeps these narratives alive because it is what keeps them making an income.
  20. 100% deserves to be Henry if the season was over today.
  21. brady won his first super bowls because of great coaching and defenses. the coaching eliminated and minimized his deficiencies. he then worked his butt off to get better and study the game. he also cheated on his pregnant girlfriend, cheated in the game many times, married a horse, made out with this son, left his family hanging for no reason to continue to play football. belichick is a great hc.
  22. Would you take Belichick as HC, Daboll as OC over this regime?
  23. Mvs went to saints
