  1. Don't disagree with the top 10
  2. Good. He needs to be focusing on football and not this hijinks. Now that his girlfriend is out of the way, hopefully he can focus on what matters.
  3. What time in Buffalo?
  4. Exactly, and expected but if you're in nickel and the package is a heavy run offense than you should be fine. We do need to upgrade nickel, unfortunately.
  5. ... Time will tell. The coach is a baffoon. I don't buy what they're saying. Milano will not be used in the same role as he has played. He will continue to play towards the middle. Laugh all you want.
  6. see above milano doesn't play olb. he plays an interior role. whats interesting is that klein played an outside role he lost to shaq thompson in carolina. klein went to new orleans and moved inside. milano will play more inside responsibilities. i think that may not be by design as much as it could be by circumstance. i do not agree with this premise but i see it as a result of poor planning at linebacker, poor scheming by mcdermott, and the only way to keep from getting our tail whipped in the middle. milano is going to be sucked into the middle of hte field a lot more. milano is going to have a rough '23.
  7. We do not have a scheme identity. That's on more than just Beane
  8. i don't disagree with this for 99% of the time. actually, maybe more, i don't know... 83.7%? we face a 3rd and short and if we can run a nickel defense with a strong MLB for the run that Hightower or Spikes can handle between the tackles while the rest handle coverage it isn't so bad. the simplicity of our defense and playing so much nickel means that we often neglect the middle of the field and the importance of having a body that can cover a lot of ground. edmunds did that by his size and athleticism but lacked awareness and was pretty lousy - but he won't be easy to replace. we don't have a middle linebacker on this roster that we know capable. klein is best served as an outside linebacker in most cases, milano, too.
  9. i was on record stating this almost immediately williams is not our MLB. got roasted, too. milano will move to the middle in a hybrid role. he will not be the same player he has been for us. i fear this will beat him up and age him quickly. klein will fill in for the traditional mlb role on run downs. we really could use a donta hightower type for run downs. even a brandon spikes. if we had takeo spikes i'd pop a rod 6 to midnight faster than a blink of an eye. regardless, the middle of this defense is now a liability and hoping that our front 3 / 4 has improved enough to cover this up. i am not sure they have.
  10. That's the joke of it. Everybody's looking at it like he got this big money. That doesn't mean that he actually played this the best way.
  11. dude looks more like a big safety but lacks the athleticism to play the position. wasted pick.
  12. Who was our last udfa to come in and make any type of contribution beyond a couple games?
  13. Poona is a good middle 34NT that most people do not value; but people know this guy. he will be a solid addition. edit i think he can come in on a 43 defense and contribute. we play 3-2 and 4-2. in this case, i think a lot can be done if we run a 4-3 with poona in the middle. especially because we use a de like an outside LB.
  14. only by some - these critics and draft talking heads have so much to say that anyone could be a reach.
  15. she comes off as just another zoomer trash girl full of materialistic ideologies. i'm glad she's gone for him.
  16. Dugger isn't there yet and people who paid attention knew he was going to be this good.
  17. Give me any of those guys about 8 years younger please.
  18. I make it a policy to state why I disagree. Linebackers are underrated because the position is so weak in quality in today's NFL. The offensive skill positions growth in the last 10-15 years out paced defense that defenses haven't caught up. Exacerbated but the NFL leaning rules to favor the offense. Today's linebackers don't attack downhill, they can't give up on the pass. Today's LBs can't be bruising hitters because they'll be penalized. We have a unique skillset on defense that isn't fair to draw to other teams because we run such a specialized scheme.
  19. I don't disagree with you at all. I speak from one anecdotal experience and then reading about some of this happening. In the early pp's a family friend was looking at a possible late round draft pick. His agent did not like the options he was likely to get through the draft on the teams that were calling and saying he was on their radar. Somehow, the agent was able to decline some drafting options to let him fall to UDFA status. The guy went to a super bowl contending team to backup a HOF player for 3 or 4 years on a UDFA contract where he was a PS player for most of it. He had many interesting stories about his PS players are treated, and they're not given a second rate treatment. They're no star but they're well taken care of beyond the $$.
  20. It's becoming normal. Players are trying to get to UDFA status instead of the 6-7 round. They get more flexibility and can negotiate a lot better deals. The NFLPA union screws rookie draftees.
  21. A backup center who knows the system, has reps with Josh while buried behind an concussed Morse isn't awful. This is a solid move. A backup center who knows the system, has reps with Josh while buried behind an concussed Morse isn't awful. This is a solid move.
  22. This isn't Twitter sweetheart. Please use words to spew whatever dross you're attempting to puff out.
  23. You don't know me. I don't recognize you so I doubt you know anything I've ever said. Beans let the dude walk. Pro bowl voters are clueless. It's a popularity contest. The Bears are silly to give him that much. He will never be all pro. He will never be top 5 in his position. Follow me for more actual football knowledge. It may help you learn some X's and o's but until then. Xxx 😍 Not at all. I've been posting a very long time. I once got flamed for an entire dissertation on linebacker play and how Milano was more important to this team than Edmunds... And I got flamed by many. This was after Edmunds rookie year. I need to post more so I can actually have some folks understand my knowledge of X's and o's or just not post at all. The Twitter style ***** hot takes posting folks do these days sucks.
  24. Exactly. While he is good and would add to us for a year or two the juice may not be worth the squeeze. This is our weakest roster since joshs second year. The last two years were better.
