my favorite thread of the last 3 years was the pitchfork thread for this guy. probably the largest thread in this place over the last 3 years.

McDermott answers why we stopped uptempo offense
boyst replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
you're new here so i'll be kind. i'll give you a few bullet points there was a near mutiny in the locker room that escalated to the plane. players were not happy and blaming the defense for the let down. frazier was not calling the plays. mcdermott said they would take a look at it and hold everyone accountable despite him telling the coverage team they're squibing but the kicker never finding out and kicking it deep. it was mcd who said to squib and no one told the kicker. he fired the ST coordinator. daboll was concerned that mcdermott kept investing tons of resources and energy into defense and not getting the attention he needed. daboll knew what he had the potential for on offense and shawn was so busy help and covering for frazier that a rift was exposed. further nothing was compatible - mcdermott and beane kept bringing in pieces that daboll didn't need and could not use - save for sanders, beasley. daboll couldn't use a knickknack player like mckenzie, he wanted better ol, he had requests that went ignored. -

What has McDermott won? 2 playoff games, and 1 lucky win against an overrated (at the time) Jackson? He lost the team at 13 seconds. -

McChump preaches accountability but then when it's time to admit responsibility he doesn't know. I am glad people are finally waking up to this fraud. I hate that it took so long. -
i used to hear plenty from within the org and rumblings about stuff. i don't anymore. all i generally get is a feeling that there is a lot of meddling that is bogging things up across the board. the only thing i can think of is the whole complimentary line where we don't want the defense exposed so the offense plays a particular way - which i don't fully believe.

McKenzie had some tools we could use. We just tried to use them too often. His comments since leaving have been interesting. Especially last year and the play calls/routes.

Is 10 Wins enough to make the playoffs? What is the path to 10 wins?

we are most likely to beat the broncos because we are mad. and we will get revenge on the patriots. the rest are toss ups. -
I think he needs to be on the field more than he is already.

i'd have traded them to the chiefs. he's a great blocker, a decent #3-4. he could succeed as a #2. i imagine he will be re-signed
-
which is why i would have considered trading Davis for draft capital to move up in the first.
-
i think having a defensive coordinator as your offensive coordinator is a great path.

what is amazing is this is the bengals last real chance to go for it. I could an underrated, underappreciated starting DT, 2 starting WR's, starting and backup TE, 2 starting OL, 2 backup OL, a good quality outside CB, and numerous other depth players that help. They're reported to have $70mm but I cannot see them retaining enough players or wanting to spend all of that. Brown is too cheap.
-
imagine if we balanced that contract to offense and defense? i would love to be able to rework it. that'll never happen.
-
same when we signed him. and when we signed him we did need him (to be himself). but he has since proven he is unable to stay healthy and ran his mouth way too much. he is a shell of himself athletically with too many off the field interests still acting like he is something special no i did not like him last year. ability is all about availability. we will see what we are saying by this time next year. he will never be worth the signing.
-
Sherfield doesn't understand space and finding open areas the way Josh needs him too. He was a mistake to sign.
-
Never liked him. Never wanted him. Always been a me first player who wants the spotlight and a stage.
-
The challenge did give them time to come up with a gameplan to get the TD. That's the only silver lining I cling to
-
The way they played tonight they'd get beat by Phili, Dallas, KC, and others. I don't know what happened against SF but I still think SF is a better football team.
-
No worry there. I've known that all season
-
Did they just say the Bills are continuing to look like the bills of the last two years????
-
The org is in too much of a mess to fire him and have a restructure occur.

Joe Mixon belongs in jail.
