  1. I like the idea because a 10-6 team usually makes it. I know it's the Jets but they should have been in at 10-6. I don't think we'd ever see a 7-9 team and if we did, we would see them today. I know it's different because college teams don't all play each other but we just watched 64 teams play. 17 weeks go by fast, but the makeup of a team changes quite a bit over that timeframe. It helps a good team that is not in a weak division or has to play someone like New England twice a year.
  2. But the punt doesn't work if you need two scores.
  3. I was honestly surprised that they had not asked for it back before now. I agree that the Brady trial in no way found anyone innocent. It was all procedural based on things that happened in the Brady appeal. We were left a long ways from determining guilt or innocence. Giving the pick back would be a make the NFL look like fools. Even though that is what Kraft is trying to do to through media. I guess I can see how after he listened to the Patriot fans all off season he could be confused about the facts.
  4. Not sure why but I think he will get around $10 mil for 3 years with $8,6,3 mil per year guar. So 3 years $30/$17. They just seem like middle of the road numbers, but much less than he would like. The guar. May be a bit high.
  5. This may come out as a bit biased but... Just put Buffalo in the super bowl every year and treat the 16 games as exhibition. Sound fair to me.
  6. Why play the game at all? Just have IBM Watson play a simulated game against whatever the Microsoft equivalent is. That way we can still keep time and have the stats. No one gets hurt and we can even watch a "Madden like" game on TV.
  7. I'm fine with it as it seems like it should have happened after the season. I can buy he was unsure and possibly something happened. While Rex is at the top and gets the blame I would think the DL coach has some part in the down season for the DL. While I question the timing, better late than never.
  8. Here you go... In one of the most involved train of events, the 1979 Bills #1 draft choice, Tom Cousineau, also obtained in the OJ trade to San Fran gets packaged along with future draft choices of no account but end up with the Bills getting Clevelands #1 pick in 1983 - for some Miami QB - Jim Kelly http://www.billsdaily.com/draft/2004/historyprint.shtml But I gotta go with BRUCE bad things man.
  9. I think there will be more back and forth coming out still. We certainly do not have all of the information that the police or the DA has. I am sure the police can find people to counter many of the claims that seem to have pushed this in Shady's favor or will at least try to contradict them by themselves. As the pages continue to turn, I believe that Shady will face a suspension longer than one game even if the DA does not charge. Why? The NFL has little power in doing its own investigation. Given that, what do they base most of their decisions on? Information gained from the police. While they may talk to other people I think they give info from the police more weight. Because of the police involvement his appeal may counter it to some degree. However I truly believe whatever the police determine they should hand over to the NFL will be done to discredit team Shady as much as possible. Whether it has been cooberated or not. We know where the police stand and not just the cops doing the investigation. We have already heard from the management side of the police force along with the mayor. We know what they think and anything they give to the NFL will certainly not show team Shady in a positive light.
  10. Rex can't see the replay, the clowns in the booth have been wrong all year on what they have chosen to review. Maybe they should pipe in the announcers with the video, even they can do better than these clowns. Whoever is in charge of choosing what to review needs to be replaced, yesterday.
  11. Who knows what a catch is today? He should have challenged but let's remember the refs blew it. Not sure how they could have ruled that incomplete, he took two steps.
  12. I still don't get all of the 3 yard passes on 3rd and 8,9, 10.
  13. I think this is a giant sting created by the Patriots and Brady. EVERYTIME the horn would startup they would go to the no huddle and snap the ball before the sound effect ended.
  14. I went to Holland HS and we were the Holland Dutchmen and I am not Dutch either. So I guess I was a Dutchman, but not anymore.
  15. I think they wanted Cassel back and if they got in a fight with Houston, they may have had to throw in #2. It's just on paper and the Bills don't have to follow it. I'm sure he didn't want to be the scout team QB either, so they said yes your number two. At least that's what I am hoping happened.
  16. So was there a key announcement of some type? Or just the lefty thing?
  17. I'll take TT or EJ. If they were not playing light out we would all be worried about Cassel's dink and dunk offence down the fiel with no TD's and just field goals. Same thing we would say about Fitz every preseason. I really hope it's not him. Consistent 8-12 play drives are not what make it come the regular season. Too many things go wrong when you struggle just to keep getting 1st downs. Especially after things tighten up in the red zone.
  18. I broke up with a fiancé once and am divorced twice, get one that doesn't speak English.
  19. Now that is just too funny. I had not heard that or actually thought about it. Did the 6 charge anything?
  20. How come when the radio hosts call a celebrity, even when it's another radio guy always start with something like "How you doing"? I notice this all the time and just laugh.
  21. One of the bigger things is not letting them talk to Pash, but ok what was he gonna say anyway? As little as possible. So I wish they had let him interview. I highly doubt he was gonna say, I changed the actual finding of the Well's report and Goodell and I met to figure how to better frame Brady. Short of that it would not have changed anything anyway.
  22. I wish we had a clear #1, and have been impressed by all three after reading all camp how bad they all sucked. Honestly, I voted EJ but could live with TT. Even MC, but hope that if he is the starter he has a short rope. To me he checks down too often. That may get us to the playoffs, but I don't see it getting us a Super Bowl. I would rather go with one of the other two and hope they continue to get better to the point where one becomes a franchise QB. That boat has sailed for MC. But as I said, I could live with any of the 3. So far in the games this year we do not appear to be as bad at the position as we were led to believe. I do agree it's close and a tough decision. What I am shocked by is the fighting and name calling here. There is no clear cut #1 right now, that much is clear. As much as I want my guy, I can understand another's opinion. It's not Brady V Goodell or even worse Flutie V Johnson. Sit back and enjoy the ride. It is far more pleasant than expected.
  23. Maybe the coaches have made up their mind, maybe not, no one really knows. If EJ starts this week is it a sign that they haven't yet? Usually the starter plays game 3 and takes game 4 off or plays little. But during this competition, things are not being done as usual. So who really knows what it means regarding who starts. I like TT but think he runs too much. It looks good in smaller sample sizes, I just wish he had his head up more and continued to look downfield. Will that come over time? Maybe. I think EJ throws the best ball and puts more velocity into his throws. Usually this is a plus, but he hasn't had the touch when it was needed in the past haven't seen him in that position yet this year. Have only seen the games on TV, no practices. But isn't that what you want from your quarterback? He's supposed to throw the ball. Obviously there are other intangibles. I voted for EJ, but think he needs to show it with the ones still.
  24. The judge asked the NFL to bring in an owner to possibly help with trying to reach a settlement. The judge brought up Mara's name because he is on or the head of the competition committee. Also he probably knows more about him being he is in NY. The NFL turned down the request, but latter discussed it with Mara so he understood what went on when he would have heard his name mentioned around this at a latter time as a courtesy.
