  1. I think WHEN Marrone wins and goes past the 1st round of the playoffs he will be safe. (positive attitude!)
  2. I think they should give teams options on where to spot the ball. But the closer you put it the farther back you move the kickoff. If you take it at the 2 u kickoff from your 20, 15 then you kick from the 35, 25 you can kick from the 45. 2 point conversions are from whatever spot you pick. Maybe change the kickoff points from what I suggested as I haven't thought it all the way through. But I think you get the idea.
  3. The Toronto group could still reshuffle with the same group of people and a different controlling owner, allowing them to bid more money. Will they? Who can say, but it is possible. I think most believe they will keep the team there through the lease. It is after this point where opinions and inside information differ. Is it a ploy to outmaneuver TPegs? We'll find out. While I doubt it happens or that they end up with the highest bid, it's why I wish like all of us that it was over. ... and yes, I would take that personal and do.
  4. I guess this means 81% of players are just fine with Buffalo. Good enough for me! I didn't like that 19% anyway, bums all of them.
  5. Apple TV works well with airplay.
  6. July 8th was hardly months ago. I believe it was also after the Toronto group said they will keep the team in Buffalo. I guess they didn't check the press report very well.
  7. I was a bit miffed when I read this in an earlier post. I think it's great he flew all the way to Detroit. Wasn't it published that the meetings this week were in Manhattan?
  8. I don't think Erie County or the State want to be paying for two stadiums at the same time. I would bet that their portion of the RWStadium upgrades are borrowed and spread out over several years (ie Bonds). Given that, we won't see a new stadium until the end of the current lease.
  9. The Bucs are on NBC tonight in Tampa. So thanks for the stream link!
  10. Who's to say there were only 3 groups to put in initial bids. Don't forget the NDA. It's more likely that number was wrong than up to 5 people bid after the initial date. Most likely the news reports have not been correct.
  11. Obviously they do it in other sports, so these things can be worked out. But I wonder if it opens up the CBA to give players some leverage over other issues all because one group of current non-owners decided to make this move on their own. Could ruffle some feathers on the relocation issue?
  12. Just like so many Bills fans? Just like so many Bills fans? :wallbash (Damn post error!)
  13. I believe I heard that Rich's had an option to sign a new contract for naming rights but balked at the higher amount.
  14. I called and was offered 1/2 off the HD pack which costs $5.00 and nothing else. I ended up losing the football package and cancelled 4 movie channels. They could have cared less. Recently divorced and have had service for > 1 year. But prior to that had service since the ticket 1st came out. However then it was in my ex wife's name, not mine. No reason except she was home that day. Guess I need to try and call back.
  15. It's a simple statement "I promise to keep the Bills in Buffalo". The statement seemed to go to great lengths to not say what he expected us to hear. Would I have believed him, probably not but as written it certainly doesn't change my mind and makes me question his true intentions even more. Kept looking for the words "I Promise" or certainly something close such as "if I buy the Bills they will remain in Western NY." With an emphasis on the period.
  16. The whole thing seems odd and at 1st glance just to raise the price. Unless reports are wrong and El Pegula has a upper limit he won't pass and the trust thinks jBJ will. I know there is an NDA but if I were TPegs I would be on the phone to MR G asking what's up? If u want it fine. But don't make me pay more for no reason.
  17. Discouraged is good.
  18. TPegs made some mistakes and will probably make some more but the Sabres have a plan and are following it. If your not aware expect at least 1 more bad season. If not, they probably didn't follow the plan well enough.
  19. Remember these are non binding bids, so it doesn't matter who's is highest.
  20. Don't forget jBJ s group can borrow up to $200K. He can be the only one of the 3 with borrowed money if the other 2 agree to that. It doesn't need to be 1/3 3 ways.
  21. I trust them even less because they couldn't even acknowledge that they looked at sights in TO 18 months ago and want to act like it never happened. I wouldn't believe them anyway but it was 18 months ago, before the Bills were for sale. To ignore it completely perpetuates the lie and their intentions. .
  22. So much for we love WNY and never had plans to be anywhere else.
  23. My thinking was that it would just be shown locally and local stations would need to do the production and provide announcers, etc.
  24. I am not in Buffalo but don't believe that past scrimmages with the Browns were televised and doubt this one would be. But my question has to do with potential revenue. Would the Bills/Steelers even be allowed by the NFL to attempt to sell the rights to the final scrimmage? Would local stations be interested, would you watch? (Being this is a Bills board I think I know the answer) I wanted to put a "?" at the end of the Topic, but can not figure out how to add it after the fact, my apologies. Got it. (Thanks CM!)
