  1. Sounds to me like she wants people to meet him and show our support. As I am at Busch gardens in Tampa I don't think I can make it. But I hope there is a decent showing of support. .
  2. I question whether or not they are dragging it out just to make him think they are having a hard time with the decision? Just to send a message about overall way to handle his business, being late and anything else that may be out there. It's seems like a no brainer and cost savings, especially if they have an unwillingness to give out large bonus' right now. (Just a guess). I'd rather see a long extension, I believe he is eligible now? .
  3. There are many players worthy of being drafted at 9. Just not the names we want that we can't have at our positions of need. Were a bit spoiled.
  4. Any owner may find even with a new stadium that it does not work in Buffalo. If that is the case who can argue it? Other than the fact that Trump is vocal, in a way many don't like and some consider him a film flam man, I have an honest question. If we remove the bargaining process of the viewed film flam man, has he proven to not be a man of his word? I honest don't follow him enough to know. I would exclude the political aspirations from this because withdrawing when you realize you have no chance is not a negative from my viewpoint.
  5. Ralph chose Miami over Buffalo, we were at least his 2nd choice. Things were pretty ugly with Ralph in the late 60 early 70's while trying to get a new stadium there. When it comes to the Bills, I don't care about US politics. Anyone that keeps the team here is a savior. I would hate to be there when they turn off the lights wondering why there was not a single entity that could have kept the team in the area. I don't know Trump and have never followed him politically. Not sure that defines the person. His TV show is not genuine and has a bit of acting for the viewers sake. The man is obviously a good businessman and not simply lucky. If he jumps on the chance to develop around a new stadium or sees that as a chance to make more money for him that sounds like a win-win. If he buys the team, gets a new stadium or has to sell after he is in it 7-10 years latter, that may just be economics. Any owner could come in with the best intentions and find out it just won't work in WNY. With a new stadium and owner the days of the cheap tickets are gone. While everyone here wants to donate hundreds to the fan alliance and is willing to pay more for their tickets, we may find that doesn't work in today's WNY. ---point is any one who buys the team might end up moving it latter. Like others I like the ego, but I do believe him when he says he wants to keep the team here. Not sure I would ever believe that from JBJ. I think we could do a lot worse than the Donald. He would get my vote. .
  6. While I know his current intentions are in Toronto, if he came forward and said he would keep the team here I would trust Trump more. Trump is a developer so it makes sense that he would buy and sell things all the time. Often you have to to get on to the next project. That doesn't mean that if he bought the Bills he would be doing so to sell them for more money in a few years. Obviously I do not know all of the owners, but some must be developers who end up buying/selling property regularly. Doesn't mean they treat the NFL team the same way. It may end up making no difference whatso ever, but I like the idea of Trump being a developer. It could help with the new stadium and depending on where it is built with additional development around the stadium as some have suggested. Wonder if there is speculative movement on empty lots in Downtown Buffalo and NF lately? .
  7. We could try to get the Argo's to move into Rich instead of being forced to what a soccer stadium. Sure it's the CFL, but I agree with others and don't think I can follow the NFL. We'd still get to tailgate. .
  8. Not saying they are going there. But if everything had been worked out and the team was to move to Toronto, I could see the NFL letting them play at Rogers for a couple years, assuming a new stadium was in the works and approved to be built. My biggest concern re:Toronto is that they build a stadium on the Buffalo side and once the current lease runs it's course, the NFL considers it the same territory and not a relocation. As that would remove a whole bunch of obstacles regarding relocation that we are all hoping would convince someone to stay. .
  9. I think that even if there is a owner ready to step up and keep the team here they will make it look like a nail biter. 1st they want to buy the team as cheap as possible, so they will cry "poor" and throw around the economics to pull on Mary's sentimental side. 2nd they will want a new stadium built with as little of their own money as possible. These two things will not happen if someone comes to the plate on day one with wads of money hanging out of thier pockets. If they are smart they won't buy the team without the funding for the new stadium determined. It's much harder for them to get state/county concessions after they let it be known they want to keep the team here. This is big finance that will play out behind closed doors. Also remember that the highest offer isn't always the best deal. The details of the offer will differ quite a bit between the offers. I hope they stay and think they will, but no way this doesn't look like a nail scratcher that comes down to the wire. There is too much money at stake. .
  10. Sorry, that was my point as well.
  11. 0-4 is worse because it includes wide right.
  12. He will surprise people the way Jerry Hughes did.
  13. I was wondering if they would add a new or no owner to that list of criteria? Seems as trivial as some of the other criteria. One could argue a certain amount of disarray they would prefer not be seen from an NFL team .
  14. Chiefs, chargers, Bengals, I just not see these as powerhouse teams. The Steelers never stay down long. This being the NFL you can't just look at a team on paper. When it comes down to it, I agree there are a whole lot of teams in the middle. No more than 1-2 games apart. A lucky bounce, a great play, an injury, things like these will make the difference in how the teams finish this year and could have as much bearing on who steps up. We all say it but if EJ steps up it will go a long way into making this team and defining it for years to come. I just hope Ralph can help us upstairs now with some of the luck and bad bounces that happen to everyone, just not year after year. Need to see how teams draft before we can predict t anything, but think the Bills are on the cusp of getting there. The difference between 6-10 and 10-6 isn't as wide for this team as it seems. This team could be a bubble playoff contender, could win the division or fall back into the abyss. Not sure why, but I feel this is a make it or break it year? (Then again, it's a Bills offseason, they all seem to fee that way. But this one seems special. ) .
  15. I just hope he makes it into the season. I originally thought that Tampa is kind of a party town and being in Buffalo would be good for him. However after reading that he had similar issues in Buffalo, that the local police have a book on him, and are betting he makes news before the season start concerns me greatly. I hope he understands the position he is in and can toe the line. But I am starting to have serious doubts. .
  16. Is he from the Toronto group or the LA group? We need Obi Wan he's are only hope! .
  17. I was simply responding to a statement that said passports were not an issue when the Super Bowl was in Detroit. .
  18. I would have sworn Walton played for us, but I checked and you were right. He played for the Clippers. I must have flowed them for a few years after the move. Thanks how our memory warps time. .
  19. The news report where Michael Cohen mentions he is being paid to be Trumps front guy kinda implies that it was more than an off the cuff comment by Trump just for attention. Then again he could be doing nothing on Trumps behalf beside answering reporters questions or putting out some press releases for Mr. Trump. We will find out at some point in the future. Could be good, could be bad. Worst possible acceptable outcome is that the team stays. Best is he becomes a good if not great owner and surprises a few people on the board and other places. I'm not against him and understand the concern, but have never met him. Has anyone on the board even met him, does anyone have any type of o going relationship with him? TV is TV and is built for theatrics, some people treat PR the same way - no news is bad news. .
  20. We all know if someone wants to move it, they could buy it and say it would stay as long as the fans support it. They then proceed to make bonehead moves, crappy coach get rid of the good players for over the hill names. Then when attendance plummets they will blame the fans. This seemed to me to be part of the strategy the Braves used. I was young at the time so I could be wrong. I do remember going from an exciting team with Adrian Dantley and Bob Macadoo to World B Free and an over the hill arthritic Bill Walton and they were just terrible. That's why I like the Ralph, unless they take the tailgate away from us. .
  21. Had this one up, prayers to Jim and his family.
  22. Nah, they all turn into the same rhetoric eventually. However they do occasionally get back on track. .
  23. There was no passport issue back when Detroit had a Super Bowl. That was way before 9/11. Didn't need one to cross the US/Canadian boarder.
