  1. There have been a ton, but at least 50% have been legit. It’s a very chippy game. These teams hate each other.
  2. I don’t disagree w that, but I walked away and missed fosters TD. Maybe you’re right tho, it’s now getting a little crazy in the 4th
  3. I’ve never seen a game have so many penalties while still maintaining flow and excitement. Usually the game grinds to a halt. Here there are big plays everywhere and the penalties are actually contributing to big plays setting up 3rd and longs and moving the ball up and down the field
  4. I think defensively we would manhandle them. Our front four would overpower the line on every play. Our CBs would outmatch their WRs both in physicality at the line and speed down the field. All of this doesn’t take into account the vast difference in technique any NFL player has over a college player. Take Shaq Lawson for example. He has had a very slow start to his NFL career given his draft status, although has been coming along slowly but surly the past year and a half. In college, against college competition, he was one of the best defensive players in the country, dominating on pure physical superiority. You would have to think if he magically went back to college today, he would, at worst, reassert himself as one of the best players in the country. More probably, he would be head and shoulders better now than he was when he left, making him likely the best defensive player in the nation. He is not in the top 10 player on the bills, and is a rotational starter on our defensive line. On offense it may be harder to envision we dominate at first glance given how poor our offense has been. Again I would submit we dominate them. Our offensive line would easily control the line. We just controlled the line all day against a Jets front four with immense NFL level talent. But I think a more illustrative example would be looking at our RBs. I would submit shady would be easily the best RB in college football if he magically went back to play college this season. I really don’t think it would be close. Some probably would argue this stating his age and that he has lost a step, but I think he would pull away from most college defenders. Putting shady to the side however, just contemplate Chris Ivory. The guy runs harder than anyone in the NFL; he is an absolute battering ram. No college level DB and very very few safeties could bring him down. He would literally run through them. So considering that, i would submit, if we ran every single play we had the ball, and the defense knowing we were running, we would still average 5+ yards a carry on the back of the physicality of the line and our runners.
  5. Robert woods...all the pro Whaley ppl should add that to the plus side. Never had a QB here, I’d love to have him now
  6. At this point they should seriously consider going Chris Ivory wild cat every play. and im not joking.
  7. Just you wait, we have more tricks up our sleeve to come
  8. all-time great troll thread. bravo to the OP. would be difficult to come up with a more random and simultaneously irking post if we tried.
  9. pay him and sign Jadavean Clowney for $16mm a year. Eff it, why not, we have the $. Stick him in there pass rushing w Hughes and our secondary will watch the INTs come pouring in. Nasty. All remaining $ on O-Line and Offensive skill players (still like $70mm). A speed WR, big target TE, and whatever quality OLine you can find. Then draft more linemen, and a RB in the 2nd - 4th. If a top pick, choose between best LT or trade down to draft a top G and RT. If you find a top 5 LT, either move Dockins to his college position of G, or give him a go at RT for bookends.
  10. live in NY, watch the games. Hes on pace to throw for 4500yds this season. The Bills are on pace to throw for 900yds. Im not saying he is the franchise savior, but look around the board, there are 47 threads on how our awesome D is going to waste and we need to fire everyone. He is a massive upgrade from where we are...like MASSIVE. lol have watched the games. yards per attempt 7.2. his career number (>50,000yds) is 7.0. so, disagree w your assessment here.
  11. fair i knew everyone would throw up on this... but just to play devils advocate, he is completing almost 70% of his passes with an avg over 7yds and a 90 passer rating. Eli isnt the reason they are losing http://www.nfl.com/player/elimanning/2505996/profile
  12. So suggesting Eli gets dealt to Jacksonville (edit: citing Matt Hassleback suggesting he gets traded). I know everyone is going to throw up on this, but should we consider him for a year? Our defense is a contender, and he can at least keep opposing defenses off the line of scrimmage. He could open up room for Shady & Ivory to run. All we need is to score 14 to 17pts a game / week to win...why not go for it. I suspect JA could learn a thing or two from him in the meantime. PLUS, he would get to play against Brady twice! Could be interesting... https://nypost.com/2018/10/15/eli-manning-trade-could-save-him-and-the-giants-espn-qb/
  13. Honestly, the thing I’m most excited to watch is Tre White v DeAndre Hopkins... I’d love to see white mark him all game and shut him down i wouldnt mind seeing Hopkins make a few plays and just watching an elite v elite battle all day long. Would be fun.
  14. Daboll is working with a rookie QB, horrible OL, and one of the worst WR groups in the league for some time. His playcalling is conservative by design. We ran 3 bootleg TE drags bc that’s one play Allen runs well in practice, I’m sure. this isn’t the preseason... we aren’t trying to just let Allen run the big boy plays and see what happens so he gets a feel for it... WE ARE TRYING TO WIN THE GAMES! unfortunately for the fans, what winning the games means in McDermottville is controlling the ball, not turning it over, and grinding out Ws. Its not sexy, and everyone wants a fun and gun, but It’s literally the same formula from last year... When the experience level, and talent level improve, they will take the training wheels off. Until then, get used to this offense and play calling... it’s how the coaches think we have the best shot to win currently.... and based on last Sunday, it’s hard to argue with them.
  15. The BIG question for this D is can they stop the run? It was their Achilles heal last year and last week the Vikings didn’t even attempt to run (due to RB injuries and our fast start). As great as we looked last week, don’t forget what NO did to us last year — we couldn’t have looked worse that day. If we play a power power running team and hold them under 4yds a carry en route to winning, I will start to get very excited.
  16. Bama would get destroyed by us watching this. Bills bills bills bills bills bills!!! i wonder if that was known and billboard material in the locker room today?
  17. Ryan Fitzmagic poised to win superbowl MVP
  18. So Vontae got smoked by a speed reciever who ran a go on the 1st play of the game in the preseason. has he really done much else negative to warrant cutting him??
  19. A win would be nice, but at a minimum i just hope Bills / Ravens is watchable. Last time was the biggest dud of all time century to start off a season...
  20. i think Josh Allen could start week 1 (cant argue w the logic if they choose JA) Nate Peterman should start week 1 (his preseason numbers are great. if he plays well tomorrow he will have earned the right IMHO) AJ McCarron will start week 1 (the coaches safety blanket and the perceived steadiest hand on a shaky ship -- will pick him to appease the vets on the team)
  21. The best part of this thread is by the 1st reply, we were already talking about something other than the subject
  22. Some other suggestions... OL Rueben Brown DT Kyle Williams A WR spot has to be used for Steve Tasker LB Bryce Paup S Henry Jones
  23. 1) not sure why tyrod is relevant at all other than to tap into sentiment around him and confuse the issue. at least you got some likes out of it by mentioning him as a failed QB 2) in your scenario, if QB whoever walks off the field with no time left and only the kickoff remaining, then yes, i would think they have done everything they needed to do to win, hence my original post. If he leaves the other team a series in which they can run plays to score a TD, then no, the QB didnt do enough
