  1. I've had an avulsion fracture, six weeks to heal.
  2. It's so exciting that we get to blog about the draft for the next nine months, now that the season is pointless.
  3. Wash rinse repeat! This is how we do it. Makes me want to shout!
  4. All you need is a franchise QB, trade everyone else until you get one. It is a sure fire formula.
  5. Yes, they could keep trading and getting draft picks out to to 2030.
  6. Thank you, I don't know why people don't get this. Maybe not the two first round picks but two of the first three round picks. They do not have a number one WR and I'm guessing they are going to have to address CB. It's like a hamster wheel.
  7. The 1983 NFL draft had six QBs taken in the first round. This draft is considered to be greatest QB class ever. Three HOF QBs Elway Kelly and Marino. The other three are Blackledge, second QB taken, a bust, Eason take with the pick after Kelly, a bust and O'Brien, taken before Marino, okay career. The Chiefs, Patriots and Jets all blew it. My point is odds are that some of the 2018 QB class are going to be mediocre or busts. I know teams have to take the chance but it is not a guarantee that you get the right guy. Which is why it is dangerous to trade good players.
  8. Just to be clear none of the Bills WR are Jerry Rice. You need someone with speed to that can take the top off that defense have to respect. That means he has to not only have speed but he can catch. If not then the defense can keep everyone up, making catching and RAC much more difficult. Oh and Watkins made his living at Clemson with RAC.
  9. You do understand that in order to move up another team has to be willing to trade. It doesn't automatically happen.
  10. Those guys played thirty years ago. By your logic why have people run the forty at the combine?
  11. Oh yippee more picks that can be used to replace the guys they traded. These guys are brilliant.
  12. Remember when people on this site thought Barkley was a franchise QB. The same guys that think trading Watkins is brilliant. They are all slot receivers none have the speed to play outside. Sure, they will probably just pick up a number one receiver when final cuts are made.
  13. Having this discussion makes me want to kick the dog that I don't have. Trade a number one WR for a short slow often injured CB and a draft pick and then use the pick on what hopefully is a number one receiver. Just f ING genius.
  14. Huh? McDermott and Beane are first timers.
  15. Use two draft picks to draft WR and CB wash rinse repeat. I thought the organization was bad under Wilson it could now actually be worse. So far Pegula has promoted Russ Brandon, hired Rex Ryan, then allowed Rex to hire his brother, let Rex fire his OC after two games. Hired first time HC and first time GM who are now trading players they will have to replace with the draft pick they received for said players. Matthews is a nice number two WR so Watkins has to be replaced. I know nothing about Gaines other than he had a decent year a few years ago and had the same injury as Watkins. I get the franchise QB thing, but providing they found a willing partner they already had what the needed to get their QB. So as I said what you have is wash rinse repeat.
  16. No, Beane did not make those trades nor any others for that matter. He's been a G M for what? Three months?
  17. Headline "Brandon Beane leaves Bills to become Panthers GM. Bills awarded box of tape as compensation."
  18. Drafting franchise QBs when you have a lot of picks is easy. A few years ago a lot of people on this site thought Matt Barkley was the nex coming.
  19. Belichick is both hence the Use of the combined names of McDermott and Beane. Google Patriots GM if you need too.
