Breaking: Tom Brady will play this year with Tampa
chris heff replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall
Putin or Brady? -
The Bills WR situation is not a surprise. Everyone has know for months that both Sanders and Beasley were gone. I’d like them to re-sign McKenzie, he’s a good player, good locker room guy (comic relief) and don’t think he would be expensive. Bean and McDermott will upgrade and I don’t think it will be hard. Guys want to play for the Bills, WR want to play with Josh. I am not worried about this. The Bills WR hierarchy is Diggs and everyone else, last year different guys stepped up at different times in different games.

Why did Marv not directly replace Ted Marchiabroda?
chris heff replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t think replacing a coach like Ted Marchibroda is that easy. -

GMFB Divisional Round weekend Buffalo Love 🖤

That game and the Steelers game were examples of shooting oneself in the foot. The Bills would move the ball get into opponents territory and then go backwards. Penalties, tackle for a loss, or a sack. Those were bad games. -

Wouldn’t it be awesome if Belichick retired?
chris heff replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t need to scroll up, the topic is about Belichick retiring, some posters took the discussion in the direction of moving on from Mac Jones. It is possible that Mac Jones becomes a great QB, next season the Patriots win 12 games and go deep into the playoffs. However it is also possible that Mac Jones turns out to be a weak armed game manager and the Patriots go 7-10 missing the playoffs. If it is the latter could you not see a scenario where Belichick retires? And wouldn’t that be “awesome”. -

That’s not the topic being discussed, the title is “Wouldn’t it be awesome if Belichick retires”. -

Come on man, do you really think Mac Jones is anything? Do you really think Mac Jones will have the same trajectory as Josh Allen? And McD is not pushing 70. -
I’m sorry I have a hard time viewing Melvin Ingram and Jerick McKinnon as impactful. Ingram has one sack this season (technically two half sacks). The best season McKinnon had was 2017 when he rushed for 570 yards. Both are on their third NFL team. Ingram was obtained by an in season trade for a sixth round pick. That move demonstrates a lack of depth more than anything else. McKinnon was brought in on a one year deal, went on IR in November and was brought back out of necessity on January 1, last night was his second game back. McKinnon has 62 yards in the regular season and had 61 last night. He played in the Bills game on October 10th, he had one attempt for 2 yards. If I were a betting man I’d put money on neither of them being with KC next year.

I have not gone back and watched the game, but it seems that the strategy for DEs was to prevent Mahomes rolling out, no school yard football. One play in particular stood out, Rousseau looked like he had a shot at Mahomes, but pulled up to contain him. Keep him in the pocket, get pressure up the middle and cover. I think it’s what the Bucs did in SB.

Will the Pats now play the role of Dolphins to the 90s Bills?
chris heff replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the Patriots will have a tough season next year. Schedule will be more difficult, they have some guys on defense getting old, spent a lot on FAs, don’t think they can do that again. As for Mac Jones maybe he gets better, or maybe DCs have enough film to know what he can and cannot do. I believe it will be the latter. If the Patriots miss the playoffs next year I think Belichick retires, he is a micro manager, he is that organization, if he is gone they are toast. -
When I was a kid I’d go to Saturday matinee, usually at the Riviera in North Tonawanda, sometimes the Star in Tonawanda. If it was a really good movie I’d watch it twice. Last night I tried to watch Bills game again.
