  1. I really like White and would hope for him in round 3-5 if we don’t land Hall earlier. But there is no comparison. They aren’t close in talent and physicality.
  2. Who is that WR you are expecting to get that out of at 25? many would argue that after Jameson, Olave, Garrett, you aren’t getting that. if you bring up Sky Moore or Austin I’m gonna throw up. Way too small.
  3. More of a reason to pick up a RB in the first and have the ability to add the 5th year option. Hell, even the franchise tag in a RB is just over $9m which is the 2nd cheapest tag per position in the league behind K/P. Which makes the desire for an early RB make more sense. Especially since you generally get RBs in their prime early in their careers and the drop off in production is steep after about 5 years (based on history). Quarterback$29.703 million Running back$9.570 million Wide receiver$18.419 million Tight end$10.931 million Offensive linemen$16.662 million Defensive end$17.859 million Defensive tackle$17.396 million Linebacker$18.702 million Cornerback$17.287 million Safety$12.911 million Kicker/punter$5.220 million
  4. The bolded is another reason why they may trade out of one of their early picks. And I’ll admit I don’t know this but I’m sore it wouldn’t be hard to look it up. I’m just not going to bother doing it. But…. If they were going to struggle signing their draft picks, wouldn’t it make sense that they would eliminate some of that struggle by removing a 2nd first round pick off their payroll? What is the expected cost of a player at pick 7? Again, I don’t know if it would even be that big of an issue, but it does warrant being talked about.
  5. Beane never said Hall wasn’t a first round talent. He did say they had about 20 first round grades. And he did say taking a RB that high would take a phenomenal talent. But he never said Hall was not a first round talent. You were doing alright until that.
  6. Even add in AJ and a 6th or 7th rounder and I’m good
  7. Personally, I’d be more on board with Hughes as a backup DE than Epenesa. AJ hasn’t shown much of anything other than losing weight and begetting pushed around by OLmen in this league. I believe he will either be part of some trade package or gone before the year starts. Just my hunch. I don’t have the quote with Sanders, but they also asked him if he would be back playing this year and he said he would wait until after the draft and see where things are with him. You appeared to take it out of context. You must watch CNN a lot. Regardless, Sanders is another one, I’d much rather have him as our 6th or 7th WR than Kumerow who can’t seem to stay on a team like ever. Even after Rodgers wigged about about him he came here. Where he barely played and hasn’t done anything despite all the love for him. Then was picked up by the Saints where he couldn’t do anything. Then back here to be practice squad bait again. Yeah, if it came down to Air Jesus or Sanders, I’m taking Sanders every day of the week and twice on sundays.
  8. Ok so maybe “vet minimum” is a stretch in the story. But I firmly believe they will both sign and it won’t be for a lot
  9. I, 100% believe that Sanders and Hughes will be back after the draft. Maybe before TC starts. As vet minimum contract guys. Hughes will end up being the 10th DL and Sanders will be the 6th-7th WR. Just my opinion and I’m fully on board with it.
  10. This is 100% where I am with all this. I know it’s not because Beane doesn’t believe in this philosophy, but it really feels like super bowl or bust. Because of that I’d risk keeping him and letting him go next year for nothing. Or MAYBE a comp pick. But I am not a fan of him being the leader of this defense anymore. Lloyd Beavers Walker Harris Muma Anderson scares me because of his inexperience. It’s big bust vs big reward imo.
  11. I really like that idea as well. I’m fact ive made comments before about how I would run a completely different scheme on defense, using 3 safeties for a huge majority of the time. Because Hamilton is so good. Can do the job of a S, CB, or LB if needed. Id still draft a LB later because you can’t go into the season with just Milano at LB. but I really like that idea. Dax Hill could potentially play that role as well. Although nothing like Hamilton could. Not just, “just don’t overpay him” but I’m a believer that we should trade him while we can get something for him instead of letting him walk for nothing. At the same time I think there’s about 4-5 LB in this draft that would be instant upgrades over him. Might take a few games for a rookie to be comfortable and I wouldn’t want them calling the defense. I’m still a believer of having Poyer or Hyde doing it. There’s about 4 teams in the league where the S calls the defense.
  12. I just look at it like this… I don’t hate Edmunds. It I think he is average to maybe good. At best. But I get that people think he’s special. I get that he’s been to multiple pro bowls. I get that he is still growing and could become much better. But I don’t want to be the team to pay him (likely) 15+ million a year. BUT… you just might find a new coach that is offensive minded, and wants to bring along one of his familiar players from his old team to help run the defense that he wants his DC and team to run. because of that, I feel like Edmunds has more value to someone like Shoen and Daboll than he would to another team. Who knows. At the end of the day we just have a few more days of this crap and then we can start complaining about how the Bills traded up to the top 15 to draft Breece Hall when they could have just taken him at 25 😉
  13. You are assuming Edmunds trade value and Bradberrys based on your assumption. Many people, imo have Edmunds value listed wayyyyyy too high. Partially because they think he’s very good and I think he’s pretty much garbage. If the players, and coaches of the nfl think he’s a pro bowl player, I’m not going to argue, I’m going to let him go at his highest value and future potential being only 24 years old. All while I draft an immediate replacement that I already think would be better right out of the gate. But I’m not the GM and I don’t make those calls. Which I’m pretty sure you are happy about. at the end of the day, you likely wouldn’t have even commented but I just had to slip that Hall comment in there just to tip you.
  14. Yeah. Had me up until there. Honestly I’m not so sure next years first is needed. The Giants would be getting the leader of their defense for the next 5+ years once they resign him. A 2xpro bowl starter That’s got tons of experience. (At least that’s how it reads). We get a starter at CB. We trade first rounders this year with a bunch of extra picks, and conditional picks involved. Maybe next years 2nd would be there. I also don’t think you need to move to 7 to get Lloyd either. Many mocks have him falling to late teens/early to mid 20s. But if you think this is the guy to run your defense and will be a game changer for the next 5+ years then you do it. At the same time grabbing a very good starting CB. then you can trade back up into the early 2nd and take Breece Hall 😉
  15. I have to say that I only could have known about Josh because he is a Buffalo Bill. If he was drafted by another team and I was never to experience him from a hometown fan perspective I likely wouldn’t be a fan of his. But I’ll say, if he were to ever leave (barring some sort of crap on the fans, crap on the town, crap on the organization situation) I will likely continue to follow him as if he’s been my favorite player of all time. Because he is. Man I’m glad he’s a Bill
  16. My fandom of Josh runs so deep because I think he’s not just a great player but a great person as well. If he were to go to another team, not only would I be a fan of him, I’d follow him as closely as the Bills.
  17. Man. Not only do I want the Bills to draft Hall, I want them to do it in the first or trade up into the 2nd to get him. If anything just to watch everyone who is so against him just explode. It’ll be the most comical thing I can think of actually. I’m sure many of you will reply that it would be the worst idea ever, that he’s not worth it, that I just want this to spite everyone. But if you look in the past they would post things like they trust Beane and this FO know what they are doing. That if they think a player is good who are we to tell them they are wrong. Then once the season starts I want to see Hall having a rookie of the year type year and watch everyone jump all over the Hall bandwagon. I’m sure almost half of you want to flame away. Don’t bother. I won’t be acknowledging you at all.
  18. Didn’t make any trades until the 3 d round where I dropped a slot and picked up some extra picks. Then another trade down again later. Overall I am not sure it could go any better. Have Hill start at CB at the beginning of the year and slowly move him to S. McCollum helps with that as well as adds depth. McBride and White are legit starters right out of the gate. Phillips could be your future Beasley, Woods was easily BPA when I took him. Traded back up to steal Araiza by giving up 168 and 203 25. Daxton Hill S Michigan 57. Trey McBride TE Colorado State 90. Rachaad White RB Arizona State 131. Zyon McCollum CB Sam Houston State 148. Kyle Philips WR UCLA 150. Jelani Woods TE Virginia 161. Matt Araiza P San Diego State
  19. Glad to know I’m not the only one crushing on Woods. He’s got everything to be the best TE out of this draft imo. If he puts it all together or not is the question.
  20. I don’t know if it’s guaranteed that he doesn’t make it to 11 but you are right. It’s likely he doesn’t. I also think that this years first and next years first and third would be worth it but I’m not sure I’d make that move for him. If Hamilton were there I might but I think I’d wait on the hopes for Booth, Kair, McDuffie in the first, or Gordon, Emerson in the 2nd.
  21. had to give up my 1st this year, 1st and 3rd next year to move up to 11 for Gardner. It was worth it IMO. Next year we will be in awe from our Super Bowl win anyway. Also had to give up next years 4th to move up to snag Beavers. He will be Edmunds replacement by next year if not sooner. I feel really good about the first 5 picks. 11. Ahmad Gardner, CB Cincinnati 57. Skyy Moore, WR Western Michigan 89. Jerome Ford, RB Cincinnati 112. Darrian Beavers, LB Cincinnati 168. Matt Araiza, P San Diego State 185. Cordell Volson, OG North Dakota State 203. Amare Barno, EDGE Virginia Tech 231. Allie Green IV, CB Missouri Please god somehow make this happen.
