  1. Ok. This is super ballsy and 100% with the expectation that this year they are truly in Super Bowl or bust mode. Traded first and first next year along with a 3rd in each year as well to move up to top 10 to get Williams (in almost every mock I’ve been running lately he doesn’t make it out of the top 10). Ended up giving up more to move up in additional rounds as well. All in all I ended ip trading away every pick next year except for the 2nd and 7th round. But came away with a kick butt draft. Imo. game changer at WR, future starting S after this season, and he can play some CB at the beginning of the season with White still being down. A potential starting CB, a solid backup OL and a potential starter in a year, our future #1 or at least #2 TE, and the punter of everyone’s dreams. gave up too much next year imo, and missed out on some guys I really hoped would fall but ended up missing out. But overall happy with everyone here. 12. Jameson Williams, WR Alabama 65. Jalen Pitre, S Baylor 70. Kyler Gordon, CB Washington 139. Cole Strange, OG Chattanooga 141. Jelani Woods, TE Virginia 167. Matt Araiza, P San Diego State
  2. Omg I just looked his stats up. We should 💯 sign him. He would instantly be our best WR. His numbers are even better than Diggs.
  3. Epenesa might not make it to pre season he’s just not good. Pitre would come in as a CB and transition to S in a year or 2. Some mock sites even have him listed as a corner. we need corners. And even if not, let’s not act like a higher profile safety can’t unseat Hamlin. Moss is another one that may not make it to preseason. Unless he works his butt off this off-season he won’t be on the team come September. Ford has some serious speed for a RB and can do it all. There’s no doubt he might be able to replace Moss. kumerow is also barely a mock for the team. He’s been cut and resigned so many times in the last few years it’s unbelievable. The Bills, the Saints, the Packers, Patriots, and Bengals. For someone that everyone has so many good things said about him, he sure can’t do anything to stay on a team. In 4 years he has a total of 23 catches and 372 yards. All but 3 receptions and 50 yards of that has been with Green Bay FYI. and let’s not forget that Crowder is often injured, on a one year deal, McKenzie is only on a 2 year deal, Diggs is going to want a big contract going forward, and Davis will be up for a contract soon too. Phillips absolutely hate the ability to be a solid slot WR in this league. anyway, all of these players have ability to become role players on a good team that can maximize their traits.
  4. Yes please on Gray and Barno Yes please. Or Darren Beavers
  5. Ok. Lots of trading going on in this one. Traded back from 25 into 3 picks in the first 90, along with a 3rd, 4th, and 5th next year. Then traded back into the early 2nd by giving up a 1,2,3 next year along with some misc picks in late rounds. A few other trades moving back a few spots for extra picks. Missed out in Araiza because of this . I don’t think this is ever remotely possible but boy would it be fun. 40. Jahan Dotson WR Penn State 41. Breece Hall RB Iowa State 57. 6. I feel like that would be a very good argument for Jalen Pitre also. Draft him in the 2nd round as a CB for this year. Move him to safety in the next year or 2. And then go draft another CB in rd 4-5 for insurance.
  7. Yeah. I pretty much said Allen was a god already. doesn’t diminish Baker in the least. It Baker is definitely better than what he’s been on the Browns. That organization has screwed him up beyond fixing most likely.
  8. I’m done arguing this point with anyone. We clearly don’t have a true number 1 RB (Singletary last numbers have proved that). We definitely don’t have a RB that offers us the ability to be on the field as a 3 down back (Beanes need for McKissik, Johnson, and Breida have proved that). We don’t have a game changer at the position. We don’t have a player that defenses and coordinators have to game plan for. And that makes our offense more one dimensional than it needs to be. of course we can win with what he have. We have proved that. Of course we could win the SB with what we have, last year would have proved that if McDermott didn’t decide to go prevent defense with 13 seconds left. Of course if there’s better players than a RB at pick 25 we should take them. My argument is, and has always been that if the top 4-5 WRs are gone, if the top 2-4 CBs are gone, if Hall or another RB they see as the best at the position, and the best player in the board at 25 or even later rounds. They should take him. We are definitely handcuffed by what we Currently have in our RB room. Another 3-4th round pick likely won’t fix that. everyone has their opinions. I’m not going to bother trying to change anyone else’s anymore. Believe what you want. And I hope you all stay true to your displeasure with the pick of an early round RB if it happens.
  9. That’s exactly why you draft a really good one early and maximize the time they are actually good. Both bolded points are exactly why I would not resign a RB to a 2nd contract. It’s a once in every 5 year investment. And if your lucky, while you have your stud, you can do the whole, 3rd round shot and hope he pans out in between and you created more than 7-8 years before you need to draft another high one. Nobody said you needed an Elite RB. But you do need one that can do it all. Run. Catch. Block. And do it every down. Nobody is saying all those RBs on the list are elite. Or any of them for that matter. But they were all the true number 1 at their position on the team at the time. Every single one of them. Motor does not do that for you.
  10. Your not saying anything I’m not. I also want a WR early. One that can become our future #1. But the fact is, if you don’t find that at 25, and your picking BPA to help you now and in the future, then Hall bight be it.
  11. Voted to trade him. But that comes with many what if’s. If he wants a Hill type contract? No. If he becomes a Hill type diva? No. If we don’t draft a WR this year to potential replace him? No. If we don’t win a SB this year and have one more year of Diggs in win now mode? No. Every what if changes things.
  12. Woolen scares me because he’s from such a small school. But his numbers are off the charts We literally have 3 holes on this team right now. RB, CB, OL. And the fact is you won’t get the best CB or IOL with 25 but can get the best RB at 25. The drop off from the 4th or 5th best CB and the 7-8th are slim. Same at IOL. Beane always goes for Best Player Available. Period.
  13. Agree 100%. willing to draft Mcduffie, Elam, Booth in the first. I don’t think Stingley or Gardner make it out of the top 15. the rest I would take in the 2nd. Except McCreary. Everything ive seen is that he’s more suited to play Nickle. And we already have that locked up work Johnson.
  14. RBs are a dime a dozen. Really good ones are as rare as hens teeth. yea, look at the QB and WR combos. You added Allen and Diggs, so….. are you saying we don’t have our WR and QB set already? Or are they? I’m confused. Henry and the Titans are not nearly the same because they have Ryan Freaking Tannehill as their QB. Same as the Colts with Wentz. They win in spite of their QBs not because of them. Completely different when you have one of, if not the best QB in the league. And are kicking the door down for a Lombardi Trophy. And the Rams would have started Akers all year long had he not been injured. Just did it for you
  15. Yet you don’t want to get a difference maker at a position that is on the field literally almost every single offensive snap. SMH.
  16. Unfortunately for your argument, Beane has proved you wrong. They have had plenty of opportunities to sign her FAs at the CB position and haven’t done so. And we all know how Beane doesn’t like to leave holes going into the draft.
  17. Chiefs wasted a pick because they drafted the wrong RB. If they had Taylor they would be even more unstoppable than they already are. I 100% agree with this. normally I wouldn’t recommend a RB in the first. But if your picking in the late 20s. You have a need for the position. And you are on the doorstep of the Super Bowl for the foreseeable future. You pick the best available one and ride him out for the 4-5 years that your window is open. that’s all unless you get a better difference maker at another position. again, everyone wants to think I would take Hall over Dotson, Olave, Williams. I wouldn’t. Corner I generally wouldn’t either but the fact is, thisboffense could be significantly different in a year and you could be with only Davis at WR. Crowder and McKenzie could easily be gone. After that you have Davis on a rookie deal who’s going to want more money. And Diggs who will want to be paid near the top of the league. So I am all for giving Josh targets that will take him through his prime years. Something the Packers never did with Rodgers.
  18. I don’t think he becomes an issue. But we’ve seen players cut that I never thought would be cut. Beasley for example has been Joshs safety blanket for 3 years now. Joshs contract is no different than Mahomes in that now they are going to have to make really tough decisions as to who to keep and who to let go. You can’t continue to pay everyone too money for their positions and have a 40+ million dollar QB eating away at a huge chunk of your cap space. im actually shocked that we made the room for Miller. Granted we needed it, but could have filled just about every other hike we had for that money. But the pressure is on. They are in win now mode. And they have failed miserably at the DE position since they’ve been here. Maybe Rousseau makes a jump. He’s definitely shown promise. But he’s hardly a lock for our future at this point.
  19. You likely would get an instant starter in the 2nd round as well at CB. the argument is you get a difference maker on offense with 25 and likely don’t after that. Unless you trade back for extra picks and still manage to get Dotson in the late first or early 2nd. But honestly, I don’t see the Chiefs passing on Dotson now with pick 28 and 30. They need to replace Hill and Dotson instantly does that. Not saying he’s going to be as good as Hill. But he fills that role for them. He is incredibly fast, great hands, and great route runner. Possibly the best in the class. Can play inside or out depending on the situation. the argument that you answered for, is of what if we be of our starting WRs gets injured. We’re screwed. If Diggs goes down we’re screwed. But Dotson brings that type of play. Drop off wouldn’t be nearly as much as if we had someone like McKenzie filling that role. then you have to factor in the possibility that Diggs will be gone soon. Or even Davis as he may want too much in his 2nd contract. then you have to figure the rotation of WRs in this offense. There was plenty of times last year that backups were in on key plays. A player like Dotson helps that. Or the ability to role with 4-5 WRs and not have a drop off anywhere in the WR room. The biggest thing you have to figure is what I believe most. The fact that Beane has said we need more speed at the position. We don’t have a WR that can blow the doors off a CB and take it to the house. Probably why we now have McKenzie and Crowder instead of Beasley as well. But we still need that home run threat in the WR room. I believe with all the above reasons, and mostly this one, we will take the best WR with our first round pick. Unless a stud is there at CB that we didn’t expect. Because you can still get fast WRs in the mid rounds of the draft.
  20. I think where everyone is confusing me with wanting a stud RB is they think I’m advocating for resigning that player to a 2nd contract. I am not. Other positions deserve 2nd contracts at high numbers. RBs don’t. Unless your getting a friendly deal it doesn’t make it worth it. You are getting the best out of your RB likely in the 2-5th year. While they are young. Healthy. Fresh.
  21. The bolded is 100% exactly why you draft a young stud at RB and ride him out the 4-5 years and then let him walk before his big money deal. I’m not saying we should ever pay a RB top end RB money. That’s why I want to draft the best possible one we can find and abuse him while he’s young and healthy. Ditch him after his first contract, before he becomes an injury risk, before he wants big money. Rinse/repeat. Bell was a head case and ruined his own career. Nobody is saying they he wasn’t good. He was. He also thought he was better than he was. Must have been hanging out with AB too much while In Pittsburgh. But he makes my point for this argument. I never would have paid Bell a big contract. I would have let him walk. I don’t think the Saints are too concerned about what Kamara is making. He’s a true game changer. Runs, catches, blocks. If anything they are only upset about the deal because they now have no QB to offset that. Once they lost Brees, all defenses needed to do was key on Kamara and shut their entire offense down. Without the QB a RB is useless. As we’ve seen many years with McGahee, Henry, Lynch, Spiller, Jackson, etc. id imagine the Panthers wished they never did that deal only because CMC is constantly injured. Another reason to not sign them to high paid contracts. But for a few years, CMC was easily one of the best players in all of football before the injury bug hit him. Another point why you draft a young stud, ride him out until he breaks down. let him walk in his 2nd contract. Rinse/repeat. Packers wouldn’t have been able to keep Adams regardless of Jones contract. They are now handcuffed by Rodgers. Who claimed he wanted off the team because they tried to replace him instead of giving him weapons. Then he signed for a 50m/year contract. Proving it was all about money for him. Because any idiot could see there was zero chance of signing a QB to 50m and still think you could sign the best WR in football to a 30m/year contract. Rodgers ruined himself and now he will suffer in an offense with zero WRs. I’m sure they will draft a few but it will take them too long to get up to speed for him to have a legitimate year this year. I’m probably wrong in this. You don’t become the leagues MVP over and over only to suck. But I don’t believe he will be nearly as good going forward now. Taylor didn’t lose in the playoffs because of anything he did. He lost in the playoffs because his QB was aweful. Everyone knows Wentz is garbage. Well, everyone except Frank Reich last off season. Last year was their year however. I expect them to be better this season with Ryan. But so is just about every other team in the AFC. They will content for the division but might not make the playoffs. Barkley’s contract is low compared to the highest paid players on 2nd year deals. It’s half of what the top 5 are being paid. I wouldn’t recommend resigning him to a 2nd contract either. Rinse/ Repeat. Zeke has never been that good imo. He’s under Jerry’s world though. Jones is an idiot. I wouldn’t have paid Dak 40m a year either. all this back and forth is all fine. But when it all comes down to it. None of them these RBs right now, have a player like Josh Allen as their QB. Have the offense that this team runs. Kamara was the closest you’ll see when they had Brees. As I pointed without a QB he will be nothing. But we have the QB. We have the best QB in the league. We have the offense that wants to roll other teams by 30. None of the arguments for any other back makes any guarantees because they aren’t in this offense. So yes. I want a young stud RB. I don’t think we should take one at 25 but won’t be mad if we did. Because I believe we really need one. And I don’t recommend paying that RB no matter how good he is, a 2nd contact. Because they have short life spans. Because they break down. Because they don’t make sense to pay a RB that kind of money. Which is why I want the best one we can get, early, and use them for 5 years at a very low cost. I think Von will play more than the rest of the line. And defiantly more than guys like Hughes and Addison did last year. But I do expect somewhat of a rotation until playoff time.
  22. How’s that working for Tyreek Hill right now?
  23. I just can’t seem to stop drafting Dotson and Hall. Dotson is a no brainer. Especially with a trade down like I did here. Picked up 45, 76, and 100 for 25. Elam and McDuffie we’re still available. I was hoping I was going to be able to swing Gordon with 57. Unfortunately it didn’t work out. again traded back into the mid 2nd round when I saw Hall dropping and Rhyan still available. Ended up giving up this years pick at 130 and next years 1st and 2nd. Ended up with sure starters at RB and RG though. also able to pick up our future MLB in Walker. I don’t watch lots of college ball but seeing him in highlights, he’s the anti Edmunds. Always aggressive getting to the ball carrier. Always ready for contact. Woolen, McCollum, and Jones can All battle it out for the honor of playing opposite Tre White when he returns. 45. Jahan Dotson WR Penn State 48. Breece Hall RB Iowa State 49. Sean Rhyan OG UCLA 57. Tariq Woolen CB UTSA 76. Quay Walker LB Georgia 89. Zyon McCollum CB Sam Houston State 100. Marquis Hayes OG Oklahoma 168. Marcus Jones CB Houston 185. Josh Paschal EDGE Kentucky 203. Matt Araiza P San Diego State 231. Logan Bruss OT Wisconsin
  24. It’s not a terrible idea if you don’t think Tre will be back to normal for a while. But if he’s back to normal sooner than later, you are wasting a pick and sitting someone the majority of the time when they should be on the field. A 2nd round pick should see considerable time throughout the season. Could probably take a OL or WR at 2-3 and still get your stud CB in the first and be better off.
