  1. they would have paired well with Jermaine Johnson or Karlaftis...
  2. not sure why Cam Ward isn't getting 1st round worthy cred in this thread. he played 5 years of college ball, including Wash St and Miami, 35 starts. He actually declared for the draft last year then decided to play another year at Miami, where his is tearing it up. he's 6'2" 223--decent size and can run some. He's better than Bryce Young was. Anthony Richardson is a disaster---but this was predictable: guy never really played QB much. Ward is not as good a prospect as thought to predictable busts were?? makes no sense.
  3. there are 6 more games. Jets could easily finish with the worst record.
  4. If Gray is the guy who told Beane Elam is a solid 1st round prospect then by all means call Woody right now and ask when he should expect him.
  5. did he then go to sleep under the table?
  6. i thought Gary Coleman was dead...
  7. based on the Bills history with guys like this, he won't be on the roster next year.
  8. why would any sane person guess less than 11-12? There's 6 in the division right off the bat. The AFCE stinks. Indy stinks, Tennessee stinks--all predictably bad. KC is usually good for a regular season W. that's 9 right there.
  9. yards given up are meaningless, it's points. they are 16th. Cowboys have Micah Hyde and their Defense is second worst in the league. One guy doesn't matter. Bosa has played each game. Still 16th in points allowed.
  10. After you become a dynasty, winning is expected. BB wasn't going to keep getting COTY.
  11. So what? Rodgers is 11th--is he the 11th best QB in the league? lol, no. Is Stafford better than Josh, Goff and Mahomes?--they are all behind him in "passing". I'm wrong not infrequently, but this nonsense doesn't counter any of the points made above. With him at the helm, they have won 20 games the pas 3 years. they are 5-5 in a division that has 1 team 1 game over .500 I can be persuaded by a cogent argument....
  12. for 2 extra 3rd rounders?? Give him a cardboard box and walk him out!
  13. only if you don't include Jets/Giants
  14. Neither is winning 3 of 4 SBs (in 5 seasons). Reid has never been AP COTY in KC. Playoff success may not make you a COTY, but spectacular playoff exits will keep you off it for sure. It's a bias that sticks with voters. McD isn't exactly making lemonade out lemons, despite how some posters go on...
  15. I'm just reading the script! Stefanski and Daboll will be the COTY's fired soonest after getting the award...Nagy was gone in 3 seasons. Smith in 5. Riverboat Ron won it twice!--years was still canned 4 years later. Garret was gone after 4 years. It's a kiss of death.
  16. Rams were 0-2 before Kupp went out. They scored a total of 30 points. Stafford+Kupp=3-3. For reference, 3 years ago, the Rams won the SB without a Nacua on the roster. Just Kupp and a funeral home waiting room of Woods, OBJ and Desean Jackson. Josh has won games without Coleman, Kincaid, Cooper. Mahomes wins without Rice. Stroud without Diggs and Collins.... Maybe he is getting the ball off quickly. He's just not getting it into the end zone. 4 of his meager 13 TDs came in his last game against an awful team.
  17. sorry, didn't read that as cumulatively since 2020, just as highest in a year since 2020. but yes, this points to pretty stacked O/D and only 1 AFCC appearance to show for it. That' is not going to get you COTY votes. this is why he doesn't win the award.
  18. did you watch him the week before vs. Miami? The Raiders? Packers? Cards? Bears?...........
  19. The GB egomaniac is now in NJ. Lafleur had to put up with Rodgers's nonsense for a while. Now he they really haven't missed a beat with the QB draft pick that everyone dragged the Packers over. GB got better as soon as Rodgers left. Few assumed that would be true. McVay and Les Snead went all in for that one ring 3 years ago. They've 20 games since. And McVay traded away a guy on a rookie contract who could be MVP on a team that went from 3-13 to 30 wins since the Rams won a SB. McVay isn't that genius...
  20. voters don't block out of their minds the playoff history of a HC when considering this year's COTY... It's not unreasonable to expect 1-14 wins a season for the Bills. Especially with everyone being back this weekend, this team is fairly stacked. see above
  21. Lions are first in point diff, Bills #2...but it's not even close. Chargers aren't a "bad team", they just fall apart each year. Not without significant talent. Washington is pretty loaded too. Campbell should have been COTY last year (the Stefanski pick was mind numbing--he'll likely get fired after the season). So far, Campbell should be the front runner, hands down.
  22. They can both be true. At the beginning of the season, it's hard to argue this team had significant gaps at skill positions. Plus they brought in Adams. An owner can expect that roster to win a lot of games. The problem became the O-line stinks and the QB is beyond washed up. A GM has one real job: pick the right HC/QB combo. This GM never got any of it right, so he had to go.
  23. Does he have an amazing playoff football mind?
  24. none of that matters. every COTY voter has seen this before: beat KC in the season, lose in playoffs. HC's in DC and Minny are working with a rookie and a former busted out rookie....not Josh Allen
