  1. I'm saying it's an unusual treatment for a broken bone (oven mitt on game day only). and why not just say it was broken at the time? the giant glove was a glaring red cape for any Defender to tee off on....yet they really didn't. Defenders are always trying to take out a QB. They don't need an injury report to give them the green light to do so (that doesn't seem to matter).
  2. maybe...so what? No one is talking about who or what the best "boundary receiver" is. we are talking about why he hasn't made much of an impact yet. I keep reading that he's drawing all of the coverage (he's not) and that he's being shelved so that he can be unleashed in the playoffs (come on).
  3. he put on a glove. a giant glove and announced the hand was injured. they were going to twist it anyway, no? and what was the outcome of Defenders knowing his hand was injured? It healed anyway, no?
  4. quoted the wrong dude... now you're asking for help? you've been stating this as fact this whole thread.
  5. what other team uses this plan of not really using their "top WR" for months prior to the end of the season....as "another level of strategy"? If Cooper is, "by a mile", what is a WR1?
  6. how do we know? Why would he hide a splint off the field?
  7. you tell us...in the KC game he had 2 nice catches--both times covered by a single Safety (Nazeeh Johnson). Perfect throws by Josh who saw (again) Cooper in Safety single coverage. hang in there, doc!
  8. It might be absurd. You maximize your weapons to your advantage in every game----he joined the team months ago. He's had 12 catches since Halloween.
  9. What would be the point of all that: admitting his hand is broken but pretending it's not?
  10. Every team but the Lions have snubbed Schwartz for HC--and that was years ago....and his Defenses were atrocious (the shot up to #3 in least points allowed 1 year after he was fired---with human mannequin Jim Caldwell. In Cleveland, the Defense is awful. Eagles D now is better than when Schwartz was there. He had a cup of coffee in Buffalo. They were top 5 (4th) in points allowed--something a variety of Bills DC's have replicated in 4 of the last 6 seasons, including 3 seasons at #1 or #2. The Jim Schwartz myth was born in Buffalo I guess....
  11. In the "Super Bowl days", the Bills were outscored 139-73....82-30 by the Cowboys. is there a different era to reference? lol
  12. same as the majority of Beane's vet WR signings over the years....his best days are well behind him. No one brings in a guy like that on a team like this to sit around on game day.
  13. you didn't hear me say that.....
  14. Tyreek was on the Chiefs 2 Lombardi's ago. There's a lot of WR ahead of him waiting to get into the HOF. Humphrey, McDuffie and Butker aren't getting into the HOF... Last season, Chiefs won the SB with 1 WR over 500 yards (no receiver over 1000 yards), no 1000 yard rusher. Bills had Cook and Diggs both over 1100. As a team, the Bills passed and ran for more yards last year and their Offense was 6th/Defense 4th in points (Chiefs were 15th/2nd). The difference is likely Reid.
  15. Yeah, I don't know of a fracture that is treated only with a taped glove and while playing. Was Allen's hand splinted for those 2 months other than on game day?
  16. Sexy Rexy got to back to back AFCC games with a young/rookie QB named Dirty Sanchez. I don't think he was Gino's problem..... Anyway, the knock on Williams was that he is a bit soft and not a crisp decision maker coming out of college--there's no way he should have taken 67 (and counting) sacks this season. I get that he had to come out when he did (the obvious #1 pick before that draft), but he really needed more games under his belt. Look at Bo Nix--61 starts in college, now playing calm pretty smart football (Obv, Payton helps) and they have 9 wins for the first time in 8 years. Jaden Daniels played 55 games--he's doing just fine in his rookie year. Penix was in college longer than Senator Bluto Blutarski (47 starts)--he'll be fine. Then there are guys like Richardson (almost nonexistent career as a college passing QB)---a total bust. Ho many top QB picks have walked into a stacked Offenses like William's in Chicago? Might as well call Pete Carroll right now. Ben Johnson isn't interested.
  17. The best part is posters contorting themselves into explaining Cooper's low impact since he was signed: "he's sucking up all the coverage so the rest of the room can eat!" "they are saving him for the playoffs!" "his occasional snaps are only for sham routes to fool potential opposing playoff DC's!"
  18. Jackson won his MVPs without Henry... Jackson is bad in the palyoffs: 6 games, 6 passing TDs, 6 ints, 6 fumbles, 57% completions, rating of 75.5. He took 26 sacks. Only 3 rushing TDs. Last year vs the Chiefs, he was totally lost.
  19. young, healthy, still playing football and under contract for another year. we're good. we don't need another old Bronco mercenary straining to make an impact on the All-22.....
  20. he's 32, already tore an Achilles, hasn't played in a year after "retiring". pass.
  21. there's no more QB money on the table for Teddy. He's essentially getting a bit more than league minimum for 2 games.
