Why isn't it Taylor? Did he force Burrow to throw 2 picks and lose a fumble Sunday (against a terrible Titans D)? Brady is a HC candidate only because of Josh Allen right. I mean Dorsey had them at #2 in scoring in 2022 and so did Daboll in 2020 (and #3 in 2021). How has that worked out for those 2? Also, if your GM dumps the HC simply because the QB wants his buddy to take over...then you need a new GM.

Why would Burrow think another Offensive HC would have them with a better record? They have the 5th ranked scoring Offense. Saying, basically, that any top franchise QB can get his HC fired at will isn't a compelling argument in this case. Wouldn't Burrow be better off advocating for his DC's firing/replacement?

Doesn't matter---it's not like the voters aren't influenced by what happens with a HC/team season after season. 10+ wins a year with Josh Allen rules out COTY if that's all there is.... see above. obviously voters don't think it's that tough to get 12 wins or so a season with Josh Allen. It's why Reid and Sirianni won't win---both have recently been in the SB. Sirianni coached his team off a cliff last year--he's not going to be rewarded as "COTY" for not screwing up a SB caliber roster this season.

how is it "irrelevant"? the guy has a talented roster. coming up short of the AFCC game every year (but once), while winning at least 10 games a year the past 6 years---at some point people who decide theses this award are obviously going to think it's the HC. Campbell is the opposite of McD--he's a balls out game day guy who has turned a throwaway 1st round QB into an MVP candidate and a 3-13 generational laughing stock of a franchise into back to back 12 +win seasons (and NFCC game last season). Vegas odds are a way that industry seeks to separate you from your money. Reid. out of the top 5 in odds, has no chance.....but people will bet on him despite the relatively poor odds. He can't win because he is expected to win it all every year. Tomlin is doing a lot more with less. Sirianni cannot win this year either--why would he---because his team hasn't fallen apart...yet?

Taylor has Burrow having a career year--so again, why would he prefer Brady right now? What is Burrow not getting (other than adequate Defense, which Brady wouldn't help with) Offensively from Taylor that he would get from Brady. This is a top 5 scoring Offense--the best they have been since Burrow got there.

Elite passer yes. He's relatively immobile. Josh is the most feared and complete dual threat QB in the NFL. Burrow can't really be compared to Josh. The Carolina Offense was awful under Brady. He was canned after the bye. Johnson took "Boy Genius" McVay's throwaway QB and turned him into an MVP candidate. Brady was handed a fully formed Josh Allen. What team is going to hand Brady that as HC? What change does Brady bring? Their Defense stinks, their Offense is fine.

Zack Taylor has had the Bengals to 2 AFCC games, winning 1 and a SB appearance. He has won 5 playoff games with the Bengals--as many as they had won the previous 50 years--their entire existence. That's as many wins as McD has had since he got here (7 years ago)---and they are going to fire Taylor for that? He's far more experienced than Brady (who has a grand total of 23 games as an NFL coordinator) and he has a QB who can't stay on the field. The Bengals Defense stinks. What's Brady going to do there? Joe Burrow is certainly not Josh Allen. Daboll answered that question....
