  1. well, let's see... Rapp and Hamlin have, combined, 6 training camps in Buffalo. Has this annual competition made them much better? You would have to argue, based on your own statement above, that obviously it has not.
  2. a 36 year old player already in decline is going to roll int Buffalo week 9 in ready to play in NFL shape?
  3. against teammates in scenarios where everyone knows the plays? why would it? it may make some of the scrubs work harder to get a roster spot I guess, but not really at the top end. see above
  4. why don't they show the medicine cabinet?
  5. Competition in preseason doesn't make Rapp/Bishop/Hamlin better on game day. It just weeds out the low end for cuts.
  6. Hope... As opposed to Bills simply shrugging off Diggs's departure: had #2 scoring offense, won the division again. He wasn't missed at all.
  7. Not sure what zoomed out look is. But what do the Bills have to show for the Diggs era? A 1st for a second and big dead cap sandwich? Let's not make that mistake every off season....especially if it is preventable.
  8. With hardly a passing game, teams are going to be tee-ing off on Barkley and the Eagles this year.
  9. what metrics do you use to rank TEs?
  10. cool. Trade him for Gesicki.
  11. My guess isn't that he did not take some sort of weird or mysterious multivitamin or exotic supplement just on a whim. He took anabolics, HGH or adderol.
  12. https://apple.news/ACP4znyw6RkW1RX9Qt-8_fg this well documents the problem with a team run by Adams and Pegula…
  13. well both of these scenarios involve a player who knows he's taking banned substances. this bro is claiming he didn't know...which has to be a lie. this is the discussion.
  14. Ever since "Shady" got Williams's engagement ring back, Mario's a new man...
  15. McD has fired 3 ST coordinators since 2018. Tabor has been out of the league since end of 2023. Carolina ST stunk that year. Not much better the year before. He's been fired by the Browns, the Bears and Panthers. All 3 teams seem like they sure could use a really good coordinator... As the OP shows, his OC is a guy he knew--on staff already. DC Babich is a guy he knew, on staff for years. He's not looking far....
  16. he just needs to bulk up, no?
  17. I've consistently stood by my opinion the next guy would want the same salary, and would be foolish not to demand it (you kindly quoted me as proof--thank you!). You, on the other hand, keep coming up with arguments that oppose your own position (like saying Goodell took less than Tags, for instance). You aren't making sense. Obviously I acknowledge that none of us now know what the next guy would be paid--that's a point not worth making...and this is your "MO".
  18. not screwing over—other than providing nearly unwatchable product
  19. Why wouldn't a successor (picked by Goodell himself) not demand the same? Whether he gets it or not who knows, but why would he not ask for it? Makes no sense not to. Tags got paid 8 million his final year. Goodell had already made 6.9 million by his 7th month as Tags replacement 19 years ago. So you're wrong there too.
  20. I'm not sure all of this expansion (on TV and internationally) gets done without the ultimate macher---Goodell. He knows all the "players" in all forms of broadcasting. Some new guy would not be viewed in the same way by those paying to broadcast the NFL.... Rule changes I agree--nothing to do with Goodell.
  21. This has nothing to do with associates and partners--in the NFL there are none. Probably best to move off that odd comp. Whether there are 2 or 2000 lawyers clamoring to take the job has no meaning---only Goodell has it and he's not going anywhere until he says so. The owners have to be completely satisfied with his tenure thus far. His "successor" is a non-issue.
  22. Not sure how this is relevant to the conversation. I don't "hate" sports figures--I don't know them. But I was skeptical when the trade was announced, based on the same behavior with the Vikings. A few years later and surprise surprise, he doesn't survive his last contract. This was all his doing, nothing to do with me. But some of us saw this as inevitable. The guy is outwardly immature--a cancer on any roster. He's about to be 0 for 3 on that note.... Higgins would have been a fantastic alternative to Diggs.
  23. Goodell has nothing to do with what individual owners charge fans to enter the stadium. Likewise, he didn't decide to sell the product to streamers. The demand was there. The demand isn't there for these other sports--which really become relevant only during the playoffs.... Get ready for Oklahoma City vs Indiana AND Edmonton vs Florida in the Finals! Networks must be dying.... This is why I'm betting the majority of the owners do not care whether Goodell, right now, has a "succession plan". I have no doubt the owners pushed for international expansion. Goodell has run with it for sure. But it never gets birthed without the owners coming to Goodell with the idea...which he made a reality.
