  1. funny.. minor clarification.... Watkins is represented by parkers associate Tory Dandy S\O to my agent @torydandy for supporting me through this entire process and being a humble successful https://twitter.com/sammywatkins
  2. Sam Bradford plays in an absolute brutal division (SEA, SF & AZ) ranked 11th in passer rating last season. in his prime, currently age 26. I doubt he becomes available, but if he did, he is an answer.
  3. Cleveland quarterbacks coach Dowell Loggains said the Browns actually tried to move up to No. 11 with the Titans and No. 16 with the Cowboys in the draft. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/10940453/cleveland-browns-qb-coach-says-johnny-manziel-texted-hurry-draft-me it's likely Cleveland would have also been interested in moving up to 9th
  4. this trade UP was more about Russ & Doug taking their only shot at keeping their jobs with new ownership. if the Bills make the Playoffs they have a chance....slim, but they do have a chance at staying. if the Bills miss the playoffs they are both gone. Sammy Watkins is going to be a nice player. he will need to become a pro bowler to justify the high cost.
  5. I take exception to the following: Mario Williams is minimum High Quality and very close to Elite. Cordy Glenn is High Quality Fred Jackson is High Quality Eric Wood is at minimum Good Starter and very close to High Quality Stephon Gilmore is Good Starter Dan Carpenter is Good Starter
  6. Warning signs for Bills' top pick Sammy Watkins' impact appears unlikely to equal price Buffalo paid http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/10927729/nfl-sammy-watkins-impact-not-equal-price-buffalo-bills-paid?refresh=true Watkins gained 71.3 percent of his receiving yards after the catch (YAC). That's an absurd number. Watkins will not come close to those numbers in the NFL, where most wide receivers average less than 40 percent in YAC. The hidden source of Watkins' YAC is just how often he catches short passes. We're not just talking about 4-yard curls either. According to STATS LLC, Watkins caught 58 of his 101 receptions (57.4 percent) on passes thrown behind the line of scrimmage. That's often a quick screen. Again, this will not work in the NFL.
  7. 31 other teams think they got better.
  8. good one. I chuckled. changing a QB's mechanics is always iffy. lets hope this has a positive effect on EJ.
  9. Bills slip to 27th in ESPN Post Draft Power Rankings http://espn.go.com/nfl/powerrankings/_/year/2014/week/0
  10. $10 per hour minimum wage. 200 hours per season for practice and games. 50 cheerleaders $100,000 budget per season $1 million in legal bills defending themselves against cheerleaders.
  11. seems more like a QB number than a WR
  12. none taken...if Watson plays like AJ Green and Megatron (pro bowl level) and stays healthy, then this was a good trade.
  13. I think the attempt for Hyde is a pretty good indication this is Spillers last year. Spiller is a part time game changer. injury prone, gets winded easily, will opt out of his deal after this season and probably move on.
  14. here's a list of Bills contracts and cap hits http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/cap/2014/ unless they split up stevies cap hit, the bills are carrying over $22 mil in DEAD MONEY this year for players NOT on the roster, that's HORRIBLE.
  15. a 4th option was to trade DOWN from #9 and pick up an additional 2nd rounder like last year (kiko). as an example: 2014 1st round #16 LB CJ Mosley or OL Zach Martin 2014 2nd round #48 RB Carlos Hyde (the bills tried to trade back into round 2 for hyde). 2015 1st round #?? you would still have next years first round pick (QB Brett Hundley UCLA)
  16. Patrick Peterson takes notice of Joe Haden's contract http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/05/14/patrick-peterson-takes-notice-of-joe-hadens-contract/
  17. he has a clause in his contract where he can "opt out" after this season. which is likely. http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/5566/cj-spiller
  18. I would say Erik Pears is most at risk. based on who they drafted (two OT's)and the fact that only $550,000 would count as Dead Money of his $3.5 mil cap hit.
  19. Donald Trump as Bills owner is outlandish idea, says USFL expert "Good people of Buffalo, take up a collection, pass the hat, start a fund, anything you can do to keep this away from him, anything to outbid him,'' said Mike Tollin, the movie and television producer and director who created "Small Potatoes: Who Killed the USFL?" for ESPN's "30 For 30" documentary series in 2009. "Who are we kidding,'' Tollin told Sporting News. "He can't afford it. That Forbes report that he's worth $3 billion, that's a greater mythology than the one that the USFL won the lawsuit, which he continues to propagate.'' http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl/story/2014-05-13/buffalo-bills-donald-trump-ownership-mistake-usfl-mike-tollin-espn
  20. Browns GM Farmer had Watkins name on card http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2014/05/12/browns-gm-farmer-had-watkins-name-on-card/
  21. haden gets $45 mil guaranteed ( 5 YR/ $68 MIL) jairus only got $28 mil guaranteed......
