all indications are whaley wanted to move on from TT McDermott looked at the tape and decided TT was going to be better for 2017 than any other draft choice or free agent. I still say whaley is trying his best to fill all needs in free agency so they can pick the QB of the future at #10 or no later than the 2nd round.
