  1. Vic's source is likely Russ Brandon. Brandon is saying to himself, how the heck am i going to sell season tickets, suites & sponsors with Cardale as QB. this is Brandon applying public & private pressure on whaley to address the QB situation in a splashy way if they move on from TT so russ can do his job.
  2. NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport echoed Carucci's report but added that there is a "very real possibility" Taylor will be amenable to altering his salary-cap number as long as it doesn't involve a pay cut. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000785278/article/real-possibility-tyrod-taylor-open-to-altered-contract
  3. When all is said and done, the Bills could very well determine their best move is to swallow hard and stroke the check for Taylor. Otherwise, they might be inclined to follow through with a plan that is thought to be appealing to at least one member of their hierarchy, General Manager Doug Whaley, and that is going with Cardale Jones as the starter. http://buffalonews.com/2017/02/10/bills-quarterback-options-beyond-taylor-look-slim/ "thought to be appealing"
  4. doesn't want to be seen wearing browns gear ? http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/draft/2017/02/10/myles-garrett-draft-plans-cleveland-browns-first-pick/97755776/

  7. PFF ranks Tyrod Taylor No. 1 available* QB this offseason Pro Football Focus' Sam Monson wrote a column recently that identified Taylor as the "top target" of teams needing a quarterback this offseason. "The Bills structured Taylor’s contract in such a way that there is a significant financial incentive not to keep him, because they have to hand him over $25 million in cash if he remains with Buffalo for the 2017 season," Monson wrote. "The deal itself still only averages out at around $16 million per year over the first three seasons of his extension – which Taylor is clearly worth in the current market – but the fact that it’s so heavily weighted in cash terms for this coming season means there’s a decent chance they balk and cut him loose. http://buffalonews.com/2017/02/08/pff-ranks-tyrod-taylor-no-1-available-qb-offseason/
  8. one man's right thing is another's wrong thing
  9. with TT #1-OT #2- WR #3-QB #4-CB (assuming no Gilmore) #5-FS without TT #1- QB #2-OT #3- QB #4- WR #5-CB #6- FS
  10. Patriots in great salary cap shape heading into 2017 The Patriots have to feel particularly good about where they stand compared to the rest of their division: The Dolphins have $29 million in cap space, the Bills have $27 million and the Jets are $7 million over the cap http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/02/08/patriots-in-great-salary-cap-shape-heading-into-2017/
  11. it'd be nice to have a qb problem

  16. this is more about Belichick's long term mind set on building a team vs julio jones. #1- he doesn't like to trade UP......avoids the all your eggs in one basket approach (high draft pick or high priced veteran), he prefers to trade down and spread out the cap hit and risk of injury over several players for the same amount of money. #2- prefers to invest more in front 7 type players.......picks WR's & RB's off the scrap heap.
  17. trade "up" for watson ?....no use #10 on him.....yes I would keep TT & pick watson
  18. total crap shoot on circumstances... take dak prescott....dallas wanted connor cook....raiders trade up ahead of dallas in 4th round to get cook...... dallas is left with dak......romo gets injured......rookie gets a chance behind best O-line in football....the rest is history had dak been drafted by another team....he may never had gotten one start.
  19. Kelly was surrounded by talent Wil Wilford (3X pro bowl), Jim Richter(2X pro bowl), Kent Hull(3X pro bowl), John Davis, House Ballard(2X pro bowl) Andre Reed(7X pro bowl), james lofton (8X pro bowl), Don Beebe, Pete Metzelaars Thurmond Thomas (5X pro bowl, NFL MVP)
  20. the bills missing playoffs is due to a long line of bad GM's....not some jinx, curse, hex, whammy, banner etc....
  21. what do all "stable" teams have in common ? a franchise qb
  22. "It was just too much detail for a lot of guys, and I feel like for a lot of guys it was too much going on for them to check here and check there, if this happens and that happens," - Marcell Dareus ALTERNATE FACT: "Instead of reading his playbook, he was too busy lighting up. Are you serous? First of all, I've been in this system my entire career. Eleven years, I've been in this system. As a defensive lineman, you only have like four (or five) fronts. Man, if you can't remember five fronts, I don't know what to tell you, bro. We can't put the playbook in crayon" - Bart Scott
  23. the defense quit on REX led by the cancer Dareus we had the 7th highest scoring offense IF we had the 7th lowest scoring defense ....we'd be in the playoffs and not talking about TT's option.
