  1. Unfortunately it is difficult for the average fan to support a team that does not contend and hasn't made the playoffs in 12 years. Thats why the team on the field needs to produce. Whether we like it or not, success on the field = butts in seats.
  2. Some people would never leave early no matter what. Its a sense of pride for them and they think fans that dont stay until the end of every game are less passionate than they are. Sometimes that might be true, but other times it certainly is not. What I don't understand is why the fans who always stay have to primp their feathers and call out other fans who do not. I happen to be a fan that likes to stay.. but to each his own I say.
  3. After the first two games of the year, I think its obvious how important ball security is for this team. There wasnt too much different between weeks one and two, just the turnovers. Fitz was below average in both games and Spiller was very good. In week one, we gave up three quick scores because turnovers put our defense in a bad spot. If we had scored first in that game, who knows how our defense would have played. In this chiefs game, it was clear that Fitz was focusing on not turning the ball over. He wasn't good in this game but he didnt make the crucial mistakes that allowed KC to have a short field. He's going to have to do at least that every week if we hope to make the playoffs.
  4. Yea I'm not sure what some of you guys were looking at... both feet were in
  5. Classic Also.. brought me to this. I miss antoine.
  6. Well you could start with... - 18,500 career passing yards - 192 career TD passes - against 91 career INTs - 61% completion percentage How does that compare to Fitz and other mediocre to bad QBs?
  7. 9 Teams from last year with records better than 10-6: Green Bay New England New Orleans San Fran Baltimore Pittsburgh Atlanta Detroit Houston You dont need WRs to win in the NFL. You have to cater your system to your players. If you dont have a Franchise QB, you need to play good defense and play conservatively on offense.
  8. I dont get your logic here. You give Fitz a pass because you say he doesnt have weapons, but Cutler is one of the few QBs in the league who has worse weapons than Fitz. He's had absolutely no WRs for the past 4 years, and just now has Brandon Marshall. He has a RB who is on par with Jackson. He has one of the worst offense lines in football. If anything, Cutler does more with less. What??? One guy makes a group talented? And a headcase named brandon marshall at that?? How about the last 4 years?
  9. Cutler was sacked the 5th most in the league last year, Fitzpatrick was sacked 32nd most. Cutler threw 7 INTs, Fitz threw 23. In his first game, Fitz was sacked 0 times, hit 5 times. 18/32, 195 yds, 3 TD, 3 INT. In his first game, Cutler was sacked 2 times, hit 3 times. 21/35, 333 yds, 2 TD, 1 INT. No one cuts the bills any slack because Fitz throws interceptions without being pressured. Which one of his INTs last week were a result of pressure, and which ones were a result of bad throws and decisions?
  10. Do you realize that Cutler got sacked 7 times last night? He also got hit an additional 12 times. He has one of the worst offensive lines in all of football. Also if you were watching the game you'd know that Brandon Marshall dropped a surefire touchdown.. and that it was just one of several drops from his receivers.
  11. Bills 27 Chiefs 23
  12. #7 Doug Flutie.. I'm a BC grad and an obvious bills fan. I've never had another bills jersey. (I've got a Gerbe sabres jersey as well)
  13. haha.. i would probably have to buy a tshirt that had that on it
  14. Well at least theres no way to go but up... right?
  15. 23 - born in Boston to a family of Bills fans. My first real memory was the music city miracle.. and the looks on my father and grandfathers faces at the end of the game. Welcome to being a bills fan!
  16. I dont know whether I agree with you or disagree with you. - Is it more likely that a guy gets past the 20 or gets tackled inside of the 20 (including penalties)? - Is it more likely to give up a touchdown or force a turnover? - Would using the roster spot somewhere else actually add a benefit to the team? I'm not sure on the answers to any of those questions.
  17. Danny Coale (VT) Marvin Jones (Cal) Marvin McNutt (Iowa) Tommy Streeter (Miami) All made rosters and had productive college careers
  18. I dont think Brandon Flowers is set to play in this game.
  19. I like the look of this, even know. The bad week one loss lights a fire under the team. They get through a tough schedule and lose close games to some good teams. They get rolling towards the end of the year and rattle of 7 straight to make the playoffs. How perfect would it be to have a home game against the jets on the last game of the season to decide playoffs? Payback would be sweet.. wishful thinking? maybe
  20. Exactly. The defense wasnt the biggeset problem in this one. The biggest problem was Fitz and the turnovers
  21. You would be singing a different tune if they had recovered that onside kick. Even when they didnt get it, they still had the chance to stop the jets 3 and out.
  22. Seriously Rodney Harrison? Way to man up and make your "prediction" after the bills just got blown out and Mario was all but invisible. It would be one thing if he had said this a few months ago or even before the season started, but to say it now is gutless. I really hope that jets game lights a fire under our bills because they have something to prove now.
  23. I'm not sure you can say everyone was wrong. A handful of people were down on Fitz and cautioned that the defense had yet to prove anything on the field. Not everyone was predicting playoffs and some people even saw the bills losing to the jets in week 1.
  24. You know its bad when your receivers are so frustrated they are tearing their own acl so they wont have to stay in the game
