Lived in Hartford, CT at the time and recored it while I was at the bar with the local Backers. Boomer Esiason was on the halftime show since Cincy as not in the playoffs. They were talking about who the Oilers would play the next week. Boomer says "Don't count out the Bills . Frank Reich was in for me at Maryland and had the greatest college comback ever ". They made fun of him. After the game, they said "Boomer, we will never doubt you again."

Why did they name the body part that? Maybe it was named by the Romans to get back at the Greeks? -
Plane landing at London Heathrow Airport yesterday

Had two go arounds on flights I took. One as in Raleigh-Durham and we could see the christ\tmas lights on the houses below. The pilot announced that we had to go around because the plane ahead of us had not cleared the runway in time. Other time as landing at SFO. I lived in the area and had flown in there many times. We were over the San Mateo Bridge on the final approach. Suddenly you could hear the engines rev up zn the nose start pitching up. Knew right away that we weren't landing on that approach. Circled around the bay and landed normally. When getting of, I asked the cabin crew why we went around. They said something about the flaps. I know a lot more from watching the videos now, but even back then I knew you needed the flaps to land.😀 -

Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)

Was driving down Milestrip last week. Saw two lots being cleared. Several lots have signs saying for sale/development. The new construction buildup is starting. Can't start raising steel until the underground foundation is done. -

I have watched a bunch of videos by a Dutch or Scandinavian (?) pilot who explains a bunch of stuff about flying and analyzes plane crashes. Learned a lot. of why things are done the way they are. -
Week 17 12/31/23 GAMEDAY Bills vs Patriots Pregame Thread

I am attending something for my hubby about 3 miles from the stadium. There was no traffic. Everybody must be at the stadium already. Weather is about 35 and a very light mist -
They have good surveillance in Grand Island and WNY to deter illegals. The International RR Bridge has sensors and cameras all over it. On the trails along the Niagara River they have pressure sensitive pads to detect people that have come ashore. I was geocaching in that area looking for one by a tree pretty close to the water. Put my hand on the trunk to steady myself and I feel a coaxial cable going up the tree. Didn't see a camera but why else would the cable be there. Plus the people who live there arena the lookout for strangers walking around.

And growing up in South Cheektowaga, I saw the Pregnant Guppy and a VTOL plane take off from my yard. The VTOL plane was owned by Bell Aircraft. Iin the 80s, I saw the Concorde come on for a landing. It was coming from Chicago, stopped in Buffalo to load a few passengers and then went to JFK. Quietest jet I ever heard except for the old U2 that NASA used at the Ames Research Center in Santa Clara, CA. -

I remember dad taking us to watch the planes land the 60s. he'd park either in a lot across Geneese St. from the airport or along Youngs Road in Amherst. Was a LOT less built up then. -
Maybe they will have him from the owner's box doing the "Where would you rather be..."
