  1. I know that guy! Bravo! Sometimes you come up with these epic quality posts. That was fantastic
  2. When it comes to COVID-19, the left opine with vigor and near delight as deaths occur. Ghouls RIP Cain
  3. That was another stupid tweet. Totally forgot about that and when I saw it yesterday I just shook my head.
  4. Im pulling for him because I love our country. The other side Doesn’t love what made us great and wants to turn us into something I deeply loathe. This is where my frustration lies.
  5. He’s the only real option available to slow down this radical leftward lurch. He was doing so well (by his standards), staying on message. I noticed that over the past couple of days his tweeting activity was going up and I knew that was a harbinger of stupidity to come. Sure enough. Bingo! Stupidity. Now Pompeo is saying the federal government has the authority to delay the elections. GOP politicians who are up for tough elections are hiding from journalists so they don’t have to answer to the pack of rabid journalists on if they agree with Trump. It’s like pulling for your football team who is on a losing streak and just shaking your head of all the turnovers and penalties that they are committing. Whatever.
  6. I understand the English language Buffalo Gal. It's stupid to ponder it. It takes him off message. You don't believe that he hardly ever does anything wrong, and that is fine, that is your view. I happen to think that he does tons of things wrong and that he is narcissistic buffoon that just can't help himself. He is what he is.
  7. This from a guy who was a big supporter of everything he did in the last election cycle.
  8. Just when Trump started to move things in the right direction he does what he does. Ughhh He can't help himself.
  9. What do you expect? It's Trump, he's all about the grievances. His narcissism and ego are both his political strengths and weaknesses.
  10. At least we know who the authoritarians are on this board that support silencing debate that they disagree with.
  11. Houston and Dallas data looking better by the day And Arizona of course.
  12. You celebrate death and hospitalizations. You are a ghoul.
  13. More good news coming from Texas I think we can safely say Texas, Florida and Arizona are all on the mend.
  14. Hillsborough county, one of the larger counties in Florida making great progress.
  15. More continued from Florida. This should begin to drop over the next 4-6 weeks. It won't be as precipitous as Arizona's because of the various population zones but the main population centers have most likely already began to enter into somewhere in the burnout stages.
  16. People make the argument that freedom of speech doesn't apply to private enterprises. I tend to largely agree with that, but things have changed. When you have monopolistic companies such as FB, Google and Twitter that wield so much power and where most of speech tend to take place, it has to be applied in some manner. Or at the very least with heavy regulation in regards to their editorial process.
  17. Jack/Twitter just Doesn't GAF. They clearly have made a decision that they will plow forward with what they want to do. I hope to god they get what's coming to them sooner rather than later.
  18. Yep, something like that.
  19. I'm not so sure that many did. I think their staffers look at things from a highly political point of view. I honestly do believe that many of these politicians do view COVID-19 in a vacuum, that they put too much emphasis from epidemiologists have to say whose sole task is to view COVID in COVID terms. I hear some of these guys talk and they sound extremely ignorant on the topic and they just parrot basic talking points. I happen to think that many of the Democratic Politicians and their staffers are so dogmatic about their views, that they are clueless when it comes to things that are outside their wheelhouse.
  20. 100%. Look, this thread was posted in April. We were discussing these risks early on, it was highly predictable. How is it that guys like us, who are not politicians were able to foresee these things, yet politicians with tons of resources couldn't have their staff come up with research to foresee these things and then do something about it? It's crazy how we know more than they do.
  21. I think the effects as @GG was referencing regarding the massive amount of impoverished kids dying is truly lamentable and could have been avoided. These deaths are not going to end when COVID-19 is in our rear view mirror. No, it will still be in it's infancy stages. This is where lefties miss the mark. They claim to hold the moral high ground when it comes to empathy, the reality is that their actions are much less helpful to the poor than they are able to grasp. These shutdowns in the U.S, whose jobs are being affected most? Is it the rich? The middle class? or the poor working class? These school shutdowns, who does it impact the most? The rich? The middle class? or the poor working class? Mental illness and drug/alcohol abuse due to COVID, who does it impact the most? Worldwide, in under developed and emerging nations the disparities are even worse. No, the left is completely bankrupt on this issue. They have no moral high ground, their views on COVID-19 are highly political and myopic in that their focus is viewed through a narrow singular prism. They view COVID-19 in a vacuum with very little regard of the residual effects of the decisions they make. The irony is that they claim to be champions of the poor working class, the reality is that their actions cause the most disparities between the rich and poor. All they have in their tool box is wealth distribution. Bankrupt.
  22. It's quite amazing how they are censoring content. The video went massively viral, I saw it everywhere. Not just on twitter but lots of people I knew on FB posting it. This is not a conclusive matter, it's still up for debate yet they shut it down. For me one of the biggest threats to our democracy right now are the thought control mechanisms from Big Tech. They have to be regulated. It is imperative that this happens.
  23. I lived in Bolivia, South America for some time and I have lots of good friends that continue to live there. I keep up with a lot of them on Facebook and they are beginning to get hit pretty hard. They began their lockdowns shortly after us but were largely spared during our wave. They have continued their lockdowns and the situation is getting dire. Not so much because of the direct effects of COVID-19 but because of the lockdowns. Businesses are getting crushed, people are not making money. The government doesn’t have the resources of other developed nations to provide meaningful stimulus. People who like here who were once very pro lockdown are beginning to change their tunes. The reactions from governments world wide will have a far greater impact than the direct effects of COVID-19 and much longer lasting. I wrote a thread on this back in late March making this exact same point. The virus will squarely be in our rear view mirror 6-9 months from now. The reactions by governments across the world won’t be. Countries like Bolivia where I happen to have a dual citizenship in, a country that I care for deeply won’t recover to pre coronavirus for probably at least 5-8 years. Just imagine the ongoing deaths because of this. Deleterious COVID-19 related deaths by the time this all said and done will be at least a factor of 3. And the average death won’t be aged 80 with 2 comorbidities. Many of those deaths will be children.
  24. This just goes back to the argument that was posed months ago that many of the people who are dying of COVID-19 were literally in their last months, weeks if not days. Palm beach’s deaths averaged 77 years old with 3 comorbidities. Read the article, it’s fascinating. Also hospital trends looking better in Florida. And check this out. The lines are empty. It’s anecdotal but it jives with the lower test positivity rate they are seeing. Very likely that Miami has hit around 20% COVID-19 antibody infections. I would imagine Miami will begin to trend down nicely in many stats across the board.
